Had 1 good experience, 2 not so much. Reception/​booking is a mess. Probably won’t come back.

I tried Aura after reading the positive Unilocal reviews but am not happy with the haircut I received. Got an uneven and severely over texturized cut when all I asked for was a trim. Inches were taken off. It will be a while before another cut so it can grow out.

Words can’t describe how jazzed i am to have had such a great hair cut by Heather today. I’ve been putting off a cut for a while out of fear of going home yet again with a haircut I’m just not happy with. Heather is truly a pro and was not deterred by my deceivingly curly hair. My hair was a wreck and i knew it needed some help but was scared it was going to be all chopped off (it takes my hair so long to grow!!!); She really made me feel secure that her goal was just to make it look healthy, and even though we did decide i needed to lose a good amount off my ends, i don’t feel like she was scissor happy.
My hair looks great and look forward to seeing her again for my next trim.

Me and my bridal party had a fabulous experience at Aura. I set up the appointments and contract with Deni, and she was great and accommodated a day before request to add 2 makeup appointments. On the day of, the salon set up a lovely table and offered everyone in the bridal party complimentary wine and had champagne glasses ready for us to use. Alexandra did an amazing job on my hair. She gave me an elegant 1940s glam updo with beautiful detailing. I got TONS of compliments and it held all night long. Amber did an equally amazing job on my makeup — retaining a natural look while still glamming me up. Everyone we encountered at Aura was super friendly and accommodating and I could not recommend more highly for wedding services. The salon itself is gorgeous too!

What a great place! Alexandra did an amazing job and she was very knowledgeable about their products without being pushy. Everyone was very nice and the atmosphere was great. I am so glad I found this place! I even got a 20% discount for it being a first time customer.

When I first came into Aura 2+ years ago my hair was stripped from color that was too light. Alex immediately went to work finding a more natural shade for me, getting my hair healthy again, and then using newer coloring techniques, like color melting and balyage, so that I could go several months between applications. It not only looks great but has saved me time and money. I now only get color ~4 times a year vs every 8 weeks or so with highlights. :)

Just had the most amazing facial from Amber Moon – one of the best I’ve ever received! Amber is incredibly knowledgeable and holistic about skin care. She also has a wonderful touch. Aura carries premium lines such as Rhonda Allison skin care products, which are natural and highly effective, and Jane Iredale mineral makeup. The spa atmosphere is lovely as well. Looks like I’ve found a fabulous skin esthetician.

Heather is a great stylist. I am so lucky to have found her, she listened to my needs and made sure the cut and style fit my lifestyle. Beautiful salon, clean and relaxing. You won’t be disappointed!

i made an appointment at aura and spa in littleton colorado 29 may 2015 initially for myself for a conditioning treatment and hair washing/​blow dry looking to feel pampered. i then asked to make the appt for two and was easily accommodated when i phoned the person was friendly and efficient and polite. when i arrived at the salon with my faux mom friend i was impressed with the salon appearance: everything was neat, tidy, well displayed and aesthetically pleasing. the nice receptionist immediately smiled and asked to help us. i appreciate this because never being in this facility before i didn’t know where to go what to do or who to ask for. she asked to get us a drink and had us wait in the reception area which is very neat streamlined with huge circular couch and one line of products. i also appreciate not being overwhelmed with so many product lines with huge displays all over the place. the music overhead was pleasant and further added to the vibe and tone of salon atmosphere. i waited a few seconds and then heather presented herself to me. heather is amazing and skilled at craft but even more so is AWESOME at making you feel comfortable and relaxed which is what i wanted to feel. i enjoyed immensely her vibrant real personality, her sincerity in recommending good places to eat, she also chose a treatment for my hair and gave a great scalp massage. heather has a way and i just knew i was in a good place. she was also very directional about where to go what to do next. .. again a great thing as i’ve been to salons where i’m left standing at a sink waiting around not knowing where to go. she escorted me to her chair and again kept her service very personal and professional and enjoyable. heather parker was not at anytime over bearing and gave great service, great conversation and was knowledgeable with why/​how my hair became so tangled. more than being up sold on product she EDUCATED me without any time pressuring me. she wields that blow dryer around like it’s her natural appendage and smoothed my ends. voila! heather allowed me to feel new clean pretty and pampered. she took me up to front and suggested a couple after care products and again i appreciated that she didn’t recommend the most expensive products.
heather’s great service didn’t stop there! upon request i asked for her cell number so i may book with her when i return to littleton. overall heather nailed it. she brings the tone/​vibe of service to YOUR level and senses your needs. she gave me what i wanted!
the rest of my experience with the salon was pretty much on par except it took a few minutes too long and a few people to check us out. i would’ve also appreciated a price sticker on the products i bought or a sign with prices or for the receptionist when ringing me up to say «this prouduct is $ 40, you’re buying the small quantity, for $ 20 more you can buy twice as much.» when i was rung up there was no sticker, no mention of price, no sign at retail display NOTHING about the cost of the product was ever mentioned. my learning experience is that next time i will ask «how much is this?» and not put it on the receptionist to tell me how much the product is. it would be better business practice for the salon in my opinion for it to be policy that prices be discussed/​mentioned BEFORE ringing up the product and not to assume the stylist told me the price, especially since there is no price sticker on the product anywhere.
i look forward to returning to this salon, it’s cute personable and chic with chandeliers overhead at each station.
i also used the restroom and that area was impressive, clean, ample room and the hand soap smelled great.

Went here for a men’s facial, first time getting a facial. But it was more like getting a massage /​facial combo. Felt great afterwards, the staff was very friendly and professional. I got there earlier than expected, and they even gave me a beer. It was exactly the relaxing experience I was looking for after a very stressful day at the office.
Very upscale, Five star experience. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Vanessa is amazing! She is by far the best stylist that I have ever had! She clearly cares about client satisfaction and always takes time to do it right! I am so happy that I now have a stylist that I can trust! Go, and be sure to request Vanessa!

Two different times my color was wrong, when I went back the owner charged to fix it (same thing with my sister-​in-​law). A friend of ours who had a bout with cancer has only twenty percent of her hair left & does not require blow-​dry or styling asked for a temporary discount until the hair grow back was told «No» by owner/​stylist Sarah. The salon is very chic and the girls are sweet but young and perhaps inexperienced.

I have followed my hairstylist Heather to Aura. Heather is an amazingly talented stylists and a beautiful person inside and out. Aura is the type of professional salon she deserves to be working at and the atmosphere is definitely a place to pamper yourself. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing place! My favorite hair dresser heather is awesome! Would like to hear techno music once in a while, the pop music is okay.

I’m from out of town, but was staying at the nearby hotel so I made an appt. Heather gave me a fabulous cut. She took the time to do a full hair consultation & made suggestions. After the fab shampoo massage she made me feel very welcome and relaxed. Gorgeous salon. Staff are very friendly. I highly recommend it and wish I lived here so I can be a regular.

I’ve never been a fancy salon kinda girl so my frame of reference is rather narrow when it comes to stuff like this. However, walking into Aura I can understand the appeal. You walk in and feel like you’re in some swanky salon in LA. I keep thinking I might run into Jennifer Aniston or Pink here. The receptionist always remembers my name and greets me with a smile and offers me a beverage. And my amazing stylist, Heather Jean, puts the rock star treatment on me! I feel like a celebrity every time I walk out of there. Hmmmm, I guess I AM a fancy salon kinda girl after all… Don’t we all deserve that?

I should have written this review ages ago. but I just thought to do it.
I have been come to Aura since it’s opening as I followed Alisha Luciano over from her previous salon. So first off — hats to Alisha. I’ve been going to her for cut/​color for the past 7 years and have never gone to anyone else. She always listens to my requests and my hair has always turned out beautifully. Not only is she talented with hair, she’s just a genuinely nice person to be around. I have moved multiple times and am currently about a 40 minute drive from the salon, but I still go because I don’t trust anyone else with my hair.
Now on to the salon — I’ve had nothing but excellent service from every person I’ve encountered at Aura. The staff is always friendly and never fails to offer me a drink when I come in. The process for payment and scheduling is super easy. The salon is always clean and I think it’s really stylish inside. It’s just a very pretty salon. I always love that the sitting area for color processing is out of the way so I’m not distracted by conversations while I’m reading and waiting.
Today, I got a body exfoliation and spray tan done by Amber. So far the results seem great. The experience was really easy… which is saying a lot. There’s not a lot to love about being naked in front of a stranger, but Amber made it as comfortable as possible. Thank God for her, because I am the queen of awkward interactions.
I would recommend Aura to anyone… it seems like they have a lot of great services. I am having my wedding updo done here in September and I feel totally confident that it will be beautiful.

Vanessa is fabulous. I’m normally very loyal to another stylist in town, but I shamelessly «cheat» on her to get blow-​outs with Vanessa, both for the convenience of the location, and because Vanessa is a pro. Her professionalism, friendliness and generosity to her community – not to mention her skills as a stylist – have impressed me over the past year that I’ve come to know her. Deni is also super sweet, warm and welcoming.

I love this place. Every person in the salon is super nice and welcoming, not intimidating like a lot of salons. I went in for a massage and when I got there asked if I could also get my eyebrows waxed, they happily replied yes. The massage was awesome (had rachel, she did such a good job) and they remembered my eyebrow wax right after my massage. The salon and spa itself is so nice. I’m new to the area and I don’t have a hair stylist yet, but I will definitely go to Aura. Can’t say enough great things. Definitely going back and for additional services.

I got a haircut from Sara, she did a really good job styling my hair. My hair looked natural and chic. I would highly recommend Sara and the salon. Can’t wait to go back and try some other services.

I got my hair colored a few days ago and Sara did an excellent job and was being very accommodating since I was 8 months pregnant and did not do well with the chemical smell from the hair dye product. She made me feel comfortable and I very much appreciated it!

My baby boy had his first haircut from Sara, and she did a great job! Gentle and very on point.
