Our Principal, Ed Coykendall has a bachelor of landscape architecture, over 24 years of diverse experience from the formal gardens of Europe, to the alpine regions of Colorado and here in the north eastern United States.

We have extensive knowledge of plant and hardscape material and work in all mediums to accomplish our clients goals. We follow our proven methods of construction to assure our client’s projects provide beauty, service and high value over the long term.

History

Established in 2002.

Completely by accident, on my way to becoming a chef, in 1989 I discovered landscaping. ok ok.I started mowing lawns, spreading mulch and cleaning up leaves. So calling it landscaping was a stretch but I liked the outdoor side of it. In 1993 I ditched the lawn mower and went to the School of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse and earned my Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, graduating in 1996. I held management positions at a prominent firms in New York, Vail Colorado and in Chelmsford Ma. In 2002 I started Edward Ross Enterprises to be renamed Landscape Artisans in 2006. Since our inception our main focus has been on quality regardless of the size of project. We put the same attention on planting a single tree, a small walk way or patio as we do on full scale master plan design build projects. We are not the cheap guy and stickto the philosophy doing the job right from the beginning will deliver value to our clients in the long run.
