Littleton Heating and Air Conditioning

This is a great company, they are very knowledgeable about the industry and are honest about the work that needs to be completed. They are not the cheapest but they are the best. We purchased a home and had to have the furnace inspected, unfortunately the homeowner had the furnace replaced by another company after failing inspection, but Littleton Heating came back to reinspect and helped remedy the issues from the unqualified installation company.

I would like to thank Littleton Heating for everything they did for us. We were trying to sell my In-​laws house and the furnace was a block on a couple of sales due to it not being certified. We had a couple of other companies come and look at it and they all said it needed to be replaced. Littleton Heating came and fixed the fan cleaned it out and were able to certify it for a lot less than replacement. We are still in touch with the people that bought the house and it is still running strong 5 years later. Because of this I used them to do all of the HVAC work on my new brewery and not only were they done in time but it was under budget. I have a hard time believing the some ratings that they have received. They were not only professional about their work but it was a real nice experience working with them. I WILL use them on my own home when it is needed.

Furnace repair person come out and inspect and clean the furnace. They charged me around 150.00 to look at the furnace, they did not clean it.
When they found out that we were moving and needed it for the new owners they gave me a estimate of 1000.00 in parts and labor for cleaning.
I said that the could do the work since we’re between a rock and a hard place and he put that there were all these issues on a 6 year old furnace.
Then I started thinking that the estimate was way out of line and I called them and told them not to come back.
I called Brothers plumbing and heating and they were here in less than two hours. Dan S. charged me ¹⁄₃ of what the other company’s estimate. Bunnie

I would not recommend this company. Tech came out and said my fan motor was broken and it would be $ 1000 to replace. Had another tech come out and he said there was nothing wrong with my ac. He did a quick service and I was up and running for $ 50. That was the months ago and the ac is working great. Beware. It’s very hard to find a trustworthy hvac company.

These guys really know their stuff! My AC unit conveniently broke in the middle of summer. I called around and after many different companies, I decided to go with these guys! I’m very happy I did. They were quick to fix my unit, and very reasonably priced. Other companies wanted to make me wait for a couple weeks. Unrealistic with the heat here in Colorado on some days.
The staff was very knowledgeable, answering every question I had. If you are looking for a quality company, look no further! These guys are outstanding.

Highly recommend these guys! They fixed our air conditioning the right way, we had two other companies come before and those guys didn’t fix anything, after an expensive bill! Littleton heating and air fixed our air conditioning and it worked ALL summer! Friendly people too. I would say these are the guys you want!

I called Littleton Heating and Air Conditioning looking for someone to come out and give us an estimate to get our AC unit repaired after a hail storm. First I sent an email to a bunch of different companies and the first to reply was Littleton heating and air conditioning asking for my phone number so we could get an appt set up for a free estimate. I sent off my phone number but never heard back so I called them. When I called the lady that answered the phone was a bit rude which surprised me a bit. Then she said it would cost us $ 89 just to get an estimate, which isn’t what they said via email — so umm no I don’t think so.

There were both very good and very bad aspects to my dealings with Littleton Heating and Air Conditioning. Overall, I guess it would have to average out to a 3. Here’s my saga…
My wonderful father gave me a whole house humidifier for Christmas. Now, my father is a researcher when it comes to purchasing things. He looked online at the various humidifiers out there and determined one that he thought would be best for my townhouse. He also pointed me in the direction of Littleton Heating as they were the only authorized dealer of this humidifier in my area and told me to get a cost estimate. As I was super sick, I emailed instead of calling for my first contact. I received a prompt reply from their operations manager letting me know a ballpark figure for the humidifier in question, including installation.
The following week, once I was feeling better, I called to set up a time to have someone come out and give me a more specific estimate. The lady I spoke with on the phone was very professional and helpful. She informed me up front that it there would be a charge to come out, but that it would be refunded if I purchased the humidifier. She was able to set up an appointment a couple of days out, that worked well with my schedule.
The sales rep arrived at my house promptly, near the beginning of the time window I was given. He was a nice enough guy, but there was something about him that didn’t inspire a lot of confidence and trust on my part. I’m not really sure what it was exactly; think it was mostly a gut feeling. He had not heard of the model of humidifier that I wanted. I looked it up online and showed him, and he called his supervisor who said they could get that model. I guess it’s a very new model, so while a bit surprised by his lack of knowledge, there was at least an explanation. He proceeded to give me a cost quote that was a few hundred higher than the initial email quote I received. But, again, given the confined space where my heating unit is, there would need to be additional labor to move the air conditioning lines to make room for the humidifier. Dad was okay with the extra cost so, we scheduled an installation time. He actually offered to come the next day to install. However, given my hectic schedule, that did not work on my end and we scheduled for a date a week and half from the estimate. I enquired as to a Saturday install (since «tomorrow» was a Saturday) and was told that while it was no extra charge, it was sometimes hit or miss on whether the installation personnel would be available. As such, we scheduled for a Wed morning. Since I was going to have to take time off work, I enquired as to when I could expect the installation personnel and was told 8:00 AM — sometimes as early as 7:30 AM. Ok, that worked great.
Fast forward to installation day. No one called me the day before to confirm my installation appointment. I’m ready by 7:30 AM to let in the installers. 8:15 rolls around and no installers and no phone call. I call the office and get the same nice lady on the phone. She tells me that my sales rep is in a meeting and that they would be out when the meeting was done. She apologizes that no time was listed on the paperwork. I make it clear that I am upset and that I have had to take time off of work to make this happen. She offers to reschedule for another day, if need be. When asked, she says the meeting should be over at 9 and that they will be out right after. She also says she’ll have the sales rep call me when he’s out of the meeting. I am just about to call at 10 AM, when my phone finally rings and it’s the sales rep. He apologizes for the delay and basically just says there was an unscheduled meeting that he didn’t know about. Sorry, not a good enough explanation to satisfy me. I again make it clear that I am very unhappy and that I have now wasted close to 3 hours of my day because of his lack of communication and follow through. Yes, it’s good that he apologized, but it was not enough to appease me.
At 10:15 the installers arrive. Both of the gentlemen were polite and professional (and you could tell English was their native language, which was a plus — I have had communication be an issue with other home improvement workers). The sales rep was not with them, as I was led to believe he would be. But, given the situation, it’s probably best that he was not there. The installers worked fairly quickly given what they needed to do. And, it turns out the installation was a few hundred cheaper because they did not actually have to move the air conditioning lines to install the humidifier.
So, in summary:
5 stars for the installation personnel.
5 stars for the responsiveness via email.
5 stars for the lady who answers the phone. She did calm me down a bit.
1 or 2 stars for the sales rep. And, because he tainted a lot of the experience, he pulls down the average for the review.
