Our owner Kimberly De Jong founded My Mechanic with her friend, Adele Allen. The idea for the business started off in an unexpected place — a night out with girlfriends having sushi. A mutual friend had a listing for an automotive shop, so Kimberly and Adele talked and decided to run an auto shop themselves. They had no prior knowledge of cars: driving them was their only experience! Since that fateful moment in their lives, Kim and Adele have turned My Mechanic into one of the finest automotive shops in the area.

Hello, we are Kimberly De Jong and Adele Allen, owners of My Mechanic. It does seem a bit unusual for two women to own and operate an auto repair shop, but let us tell you why we do. Too often we have been in your shoes — the need for reliable, honest auto repair. It’s an awkward and inconvenient situation for anyone who has little to no knowledge regarding car repair, and has the added troubles of a financial burden and transportation hassles. Since we have been on your side of the fence, we have set out to revolutionize the way people feel about automotive services. One customer at a time!
