Don’t let the outside keep you from coming in, let the food and service do that. My wife and I had breakfast here 2 years ago and thought it was only ok. This morning, after reading the reviews, we thought we would give it another go. That was a mistake. The service was terrible and the food was worse. The kids meals didn’t include a drink, the condiments tasted like they had been frozen and thawed multiple times. The corned beef is canned and even after asking how you want your eggs, they make tbem the way they want. Toast, sure, as long as its not anything fancier than dollar store cardboard or white. And to make matters worse, how do you screw up crispy bacon? I can’t tell you how, I know how to cook bacon, you are just going to have to go in and ask the chef. My wife was asked once if she wanted more *coffee and I was never asked if I wanted more water. Surely all this fabulous treatment warrants the 20 — 30% tip that they ask for. *Please note that my wife found the coffee palatable but most might consider it watered down or weak.

This is a very small restaurant on Hwy 99. From the outside looks simple yellow, but once you get inside, you’ll see how nice the interior is! It’s a bit old fashioned in a cool new way, I thought the flooring was very nice, I saw some old fashioned phones, and a nice plant water fall… Overall, they did a great Remodel because this used to be a Sushi restaurant, which closed down about 2 years ago! If you see their Unilocal pictures, the food looks very appetizing, which is why I came in. I ended up trying Breakfast. My server was friendly, attentive, checked on me, refilled my coffee frequently. There was only one other customer dining, but I sure appreciated all the attention. The coffee was great and what I liked, is when she brought me the creamers, they came in a large cup that was cold! Very neat! I wasn’t sure what to order, so I picked Chicken Fried Steak. Well, the gravy was very watery, very runny and ruined the whole dish. The plate came steaming hot and the Chicken Fried Steak was good, but I did not like the gravy, no flavor. My eggs over easy were fine. I did not like the biscuit, because of the watery gravy and texture of biscuit seemed it wasn’t fresh. The home fries tasted great, they were seasoned well, cooked thoroughly and had onions/orange bell peppers mixed in. Even though my first visit, food was not satisfactory, it’s a nice place, and my server did a good job. I overheard it is the same owner’s as Betty’s Mexican restaurant. They are only open for Breakfast and Lunch.

Went here twice last week. Had breakfast the first time. It was excellent. B and g were good. Hash Browns were good, and eggs were cooked to my liking. Went back for lunch a few days later, and had the club sandwich with seasoned fries. The sandwich was extremely good and all ingredients were fresh. I was very impressed. Seasoned fries were crispy and good as well, and the service was helpful too. Very impressed for a restaurant in live oak. I will be going back!
