Love Brunos !!! I’ve been going to brunos since I was a little girl. Place is still the same. They have great prices and there pizza is the bomb ! I love there meatballs. I’ll pick some up if I don’t have time to make dinner. Boil up some pasta, make a salad, 10 min later I have a nice dinner. They have a pasta dish that I just love. I forgot the name but it’s spicy tomato cream sauce with chicken and sausage. Yummy !!!

Been going to here for years and have always had a great meal and service. We went yesterday with our friends from Southern California and had a late lunch. The service and the food was excellent as usual!

Delicious Italian cuisine that makes you feel at home. The portions are large and hearty. They have a good selection of vino. The wait staff was polite and we were sat quote quickly for a Friday night. Both myself and my Hubby agreed this is a top Livermore contender for a great restaurant that you can pop into and enjoy home cooked meals.

My Uncle took us to Bruno’s for dinner. It is one of their favorite restaurants in town. Bruno’s is located in Livermore’s lovely downtown. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. We ate outside which makes for good people watching. Just watch out for those hungry flies! All the food we ate was tasty. The complimentary bread was fresh and tasted good with some olive oil. The Antipasto Salad was very good. Actually one of the better salads that I have ever eaten. It was loaded with lettuce, salami, ham, red bell peppers, sun dried tomatoes, pepperoncinis, red and green onions, parmesan cheese, and Italian dressing. Good sized portion to share.(4.25 stars) After sharing the salad, my wife and I shared the Linguine Frutti Di Mare. It seemed liked they put tomato sauce, but they said it was the white wine sauce that it says in the menu. I doubt that. Anyways, the entrée was still okay. Came with prawns, clams, scallops, and fish. I would not order this dish again.(3 stars) Tried a slice of their Bruno’s Special. I enjoyed that slice of goodness. They did not skimp on the ingredients. Packed with plenty of toppings which included pepperoni, sausage, salami, mushrooms, bell peppers, and onions.(4 stars) Happy with the Antipasto salad and the Bruno’s Special. Service was fine. Like the outdoor ambiance except for the flies. Fine 4 star experience. Would dine here again.

We stopped here on the way home for a late lunch. Got there just before closing but they still served us. The waiter was very helpful and attentive and our food was delicious and affordable. We chose Wente Cab to have with the meal and I took home a piece of tiramasu. Neither my husband nor I were disappointed in the food or service.

My mom and I came here and were very satisfied. The service was amazing and friendly. We ordered the same thing which was the scallop salad. Both of us absolutely loved it!!! We sat outside and it was relaxing and fun. We will go back to try some other dishes. Oh and the complimentary focaccia bread with the olive oil was so fluffy & tasty :)

Can’t rate their food as my party had to leave before we were even seated. Put in our name with the hostess and she said we were the next party– they were just waiting for a table of five to pay their bill. There wasn’t enough room for us to wait inside so we waited outside-The party left after paying their bill and after cleaning the table the hostess seated the wrong party at the table we were told we would be sitting at. That party seated had arrived 25 minutes after our party. There was definitely no communication between the hostesses and they were extremely unorganized. The one hostess wasn’t very polite when I told her we were told that was our table and we had arrived 25 minutes before the other party seated. The only solution they gave us was to sit us at the high top table near the bar. That wasn’t an option as we had a child in our group. After waiting 45 minutes in the cold outside there was no way we were going to wait another 45−1hr. Disappointed we weren’t able to try the food. Most likely won’t try to come back again, or at least will make a reservation.

The braised short ribs were excellent as was the bruschetta. Our waitress Megan, who was very attentive and did a superlative job, suggested the salted caramel pudding, outstanding! Can’t wait to come back for another meal!

Good dinner! Bread was tasty and flavorful. If you like seafood get the jambalaya or the frutti di mar! My boyfriend and I got that and we were extremely happy. Our server was very nice and we were really happy with our experience. We are coming back for sure.

Food poisoning!!! My husband and I along with a few other friends came here for dinner last Sunday July 12th and we all got sick with myself getting it the worst. As if being totally down with food poisoning for 3 days(with an infant) wasn’t bad enough, Fernando(manager) did not even apologize when I called to tell him what had happened. Instead, he took my name and number and said he would speak with the kitchen and call me back with not even a sorry that happened and he never called me back. Food poisoning can happen at the best of places, but come on, the way he handled it was horrible and I still don’t feel right since getting sick from their food. Horrible experience with horrible customer service. I do not recommend this place!

The space outside is great and the food is okay, nothing special. However the waiters are very polite, but the problem is they push you ether consume more or leave the place. My husband at half glass of bear and the waiters ask and press for one more. Pet Friendly

Small Italian restaurant in downtown Livermore. They have an outdoor patio that’s dog-friendly, but take note that it’s a bit cramped and you’ll be sitting along the street breathing in everyone’s exhaust fumes. It was still worth it for us to be able to have lunch with the kids :) My family & I came here for a weekend lunch. I was surprised that they weren’t busy & we were the only ones out on their patio on such a beautiful day. Service was friendly and attentive, prices were fair, but their food was mediocre. We were more impressed with the taste of their complimentary bread than with our pasta dishes. Overall, it was OK. ***NOTE: Parking on 1st street is usually impossible. They have a huge, free, gravel parking lot behind the shops — I recommend you park there.

Yeah… no! Ordered food to go but… damn I am not Italian but I know the difference between a bolognese and spaghetti and meatballs. There is nothing authentic about Bruno’s if an Italian restaurant can’t tell the difference. That’s an insult to the Italians to be honest! The linguine frutti di mare… had a whole bunch of clam shells but no clams. WTF! The bolgonese aka spaghetti and meatballs to the restaurant… was bland .no flavor. nothing! Yuck! No more peeps… that’s the end of Bruno’s…Your best bet. go next door to Mario’s French Dip!

Pizza is great. My wife had the scallop salad and was not impressed. The scallops were over cooked. Mother got the chicken breast and it was overcooked. Would come for pizza, but the entrees need some help.

Poor Customer Relations! Less than two weeks ago, we ordered a pizza for delivery that arrived incorrect. We immediately called and asked for a replacement. They couldn’t send us another pizza for over an hour because they were busy and the other customer’s orders were in front of ours even though our was incorrect. They gave us the option to have a credit placed on our account for future use so we chose that option instead of sending another. My husband and I did not like the pizza so we practically went without dinner(made a smoothie instead). We were disappointed for the service that night and annoyed! My husband clearly stated several times on the phone how he wanted the pizza and they couldn’t get it right. Then they can’t even send us a replacement in a decent time frame. Guess what?!? We called today and there is no credit on our account. To top it off, there is nothing they can do!!! Of course, I was not about to pay for a pizza when I don’t trust them now and I didn’t want mountain mikes and there isn’t many food choices in the house so I’m beyond annoyed. The owner wasn’t in when I first called so I called back later to let him know of the poor service his employees are providing. Well, the owner could care less! He said there is no credit there so he can’t do anything! I said so you don’t trust your customer and you don’t care if you lose my business. He, of course, says that is not what he meant. I then asked for a refund for my original order. He will call me back tomorrow AFTER he asks his employees what happened nearly two weeks ago. If he’d only have understood and appreciated my call, I wouldn’t be writing this review. Thanks for trusting your customer! What happened to the customer is always right? We need to stop accepting this garbage and not give these places our business. I’m done with them. I guess that only leaves patxi’s, which I do have to say has great customer relations they are just always so busy and you have to pre-order to get your food at a decent time). I believe patxi’s would have shipped another pizza immediately or refunded it and provided a coupon for the next time. Patxi’s doesn’t just fix it today — they also make sure you’ll come back!

I’ve had good food here before, pizza and risotto here is very good. I always enjoy the bread basket Today’s lunch wasn’t the best. I had the jumbo ravioli that was too salty. I had to have some of the bread between bites to savor it. The ravioli didn’t have any taste to it, especially since the salt was so overpowering My friend and I ordered Pinot Grigio and it tasted very weak and mild. Did not taste like Pinot usually does. We’ve never had that kind of problem anywhere before so we were hesitant to say anything at all, but decided to because the wine was really not enjoyable. We asked the waitress if we can have something else instead and she sort of seemed defensive. «Umm okay. Lets try another wine so you know you like it before ordering» jeez Jamie, no need to talk to us like kids. We got the white zin next which we both liked, we were not charged for the Pinot, so we were thankful for that. I just wish that treatment hasn’t occurred when we asked for different wine.

The seafood in the Linguine with seafood in tomato wine sauce were cooked perfectly. Portion size was a bit small. Service was ok. The décor isn’t spectacular. The complimentary bread was warm eaten with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Lunch hour wasn’t busy.

The picture I took, was 5min after pizza arrived at my house. Ok I’m raising 3 teenage boys and the’re pizza connoisseurs and Bruno’s is now there top 3 favorite pizza joints. One of my sons says give them 4 stars, if they had hot-wings then give them 5. I guess that’s the only down fall of Bruno’s. Because everything we have tried has been wonderful.

My cousins wanted to check out the Downtown Livermore area one weekend. After walking around what seems to be the main drag, we settled on this place for dinner as it had outdoor seating. VENUE: Bruno’s has indoor and outdoor seating with two areas for outdoor seating. There’s tables close to the entrance and a little«island» area close to 1st street. Both locations are good to people-watch. SERVICE: A little slow. Took waiters a little while to refill waters. FOOD The complementary bread was actually quite delicious — it was not only evident that it came fresh out of the oven with the crispy top and the quite soft bread, but the crust contained a bit of garlic and butter. It was perfect with the addition of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Fried calamari [$ 8.75]: The calamari was hot and the breadcrumbs crunchy. Some of the calamari was rubbery while others were chewy. Fettucine alla padrone [$ 20.85](whole clams, tiger prawns and baby clams sautéed with garlic in a white wine cream sauce): Pasta was al dente. I was happy that there was quite a bit of clams and the prawns were plump, but the white sauce was a bit on the thin side. With a thin sauce I didn’t want any of the sauce to come splashing on my shirt! Portion size was good enough that I was able to eat the entire serving on one sitting. Bruno’s special [$ 18.15 med, 6 slices](Pepperoni, salami, sausage, mushrooms, onions and bell peppers): I am not a pizza person, but my cousin and I agreed that this pizza was the best dish ordered. Generous portions of meat, the cheese oozed off the pizza and the crust was thick. One slice was pretty big and my cousin could only finish 3 of the 6 pieces. It also still held up in the microwave after a night of drinking. — I’ll have to come back here not only for the bread but to see whether I just ordered an average dish that day. I have been known to do this.
