We used Fantasy for our wedding and it could not have gone better!
The communication with the company from the beginning made everything so easy and they were very helpful with the whole process!

We had Steve as our Dj and we could not be happier. All songs went off without a hitch and he was so pleasant and easy to work with. We gave him a playlist and the guests loved what he played! We received so many compliments and guests danced all night!

Fantasy sound was my vendor for DJ, Lighting and Photo Booth at my wedding for Casa Real.
They were absolutely amazing to work with and made everything so easy! My wedding looked absolutely spectacular from the lighting to the chandeliers they hung! Kevin was my DJ and did an outstanding job. My guests were dancing all night and Kevin made sure the evening flowed as planned. The photo booth was also a hit with the guests. I had some friends who spent the majority of the night there. Its such a fun thing to have and is also a nice memento that your guests get to take home a picture strip of their fun in the photo booth. The bride and groom receive a flash drive of the photos a few weeks after the wedding and it was really fun to look through the pictures and see how much fun our guests had. Its also really useful if anyone lost the pics or just wants a bigger version of the pictures they took, you can send it to them. I would recommend Fantasy Sound to anyone and its so nice that they do lighting, DJ, and Photo Booth because it is basically a one stop shop for everything wedding! Not a single regret or complaint about using them for my wedding :)

Fantasy Sound provided the lighting for my wedding in December. In all honesty, we just needed a bare-​bones, basic uplighting of our ballroom and cocktail area, but even though our needs were pretty minimal, Fantasy Sound was in constant communication and made sure everything was perfect. I cannot stress how important communication is with vendors (I wasn’t as lucky with some of my other vendors), but they always got back to me with answers to my many questions right away, and were always efficient, professional, and by the time the wedding actually came around, I had full trust that they’d get the job done exactly — and they did! Fabulous customer service, fair prices (for this expensive area), and the lights made the cavernous ballroom look warm and amazing.

We hired Fantasy Sound for our November 13^th wedding, and there was nothing unlucky about our decision! From the very beginning when we requested a quote and signed up for the DJ Meet-​and-​Greet, to the end of our wedding day, the folks at Fantasy were a truly professional and easy to work with. All of the DJs we met seemed amazing, but as soon as we chatted with Steve, we knew he was the DJ for us. We told him our vision for our wedding (priories: full dance floor, everyone having fun, etc) and he ran with them! Steve really knows how to read a dance floor and keep a good party going. He was so much fun to have as an MC and a DJ, and never once faltered in his professionalism. We received so many compliments from guests and even other vendors. We also consulted with Nick for some additional lighting. We had a strict budget for lighting, and we never once felt pressured on an upsell – Nick was great in providing quotes and suggestions based on our budget, vision, and venue. There is a reason why Fantasy Sound Event Services are rated high and a preferred vendor. They are very professional and responsive. We booked lighting and DJ services with them.
Lighting: Our feel for our wedding was very clean, simple and romantic. We loved our venue the way it was (Palm Event Center, Pleasanton) but wanted to add our touches. We as a couple always imagined a dance floor with lanterns. I must admit, from time to time, I was worried about how it would turn out… but they did an amazing job of not over-​doing it and changing the sizes of the lanterns. We also used them for the GOBO splash of our names… it was the perfect touch and they suggested it on the dance floor, which came out nicely.
DJ: We had shopped around for a DJ and noticed all the great reviews on Unilocal and facebook. Our venue required the DJ to be the MC as well, so we knew it was important to find the right one. FSEE has a DJ meet and greet which gives you the opportunity to talk with the DJ’s and make your choice. We chose NIck and he was AWESOME! Not only did he play music from our playlist/​genre, he was an engaging MC and very organized. One element to your wedding is the DJ/MC…if you have the right one, you don’t worry about how things will flow. Nick also worked with us on song selection and music entrances. My husband wanted our entrance a certain way with songs and Nick fulfilled!!!
I would also like to add that this vendor is professional! They keep you on track for deadlines and very responsive! Crystal was always available to answer my questions whether a complex one or simple one.
I believe Fantasy Sound is the best there is out there! Thank you for making our wedding memorable!!!

Kevin was the perfect flexible DJ for our daughter’s wedding! He let her make so many last minute changes and was always friendly and agreeable! The reception was so much fun as Kevin kept the party going strong all night, and that was what we wanted in a DJ!

I would highly recommend Fantasy Sound to anyone getting married in the Bay Area. They are very easy to work with, their rates are reasonable, and on the day-​of the wedding, they are excellent. My husband and I chose Nick as our DJ (based off of a recommendation of someone else), and we also used Fantasy Sound for their photo booth services. Both amenities were wonderful and excellent for the price.
Working with Nick and the rest of the FS team was a pleasure. Communication was for the most part prompt, responsive, and effective. They knew exactly what questions to ask us to ensure that we left no stone unturned throughout the planning process, and were clear about what steps we needed to take in order to ensure they did their job well. We were so glad that the pre-​planning packet contained all the materials that it did, because it made for a smooth wedding and timeline on the day of. A lot of little changes and adjustments were made to our timeline in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and Nick/​Lindsay were wonderful in ensuring that everyone was on the same page.
They even provide a comprehensive list of music that is commonly played at weddings so you don’t need to hunt and peck for your own music if you don’t want to! We got so many compliments for our music selection, but really all we did was go through the Fantasy Sound recommended songs, highlighted the songs we liked in yellow, and highlighted the songs we absolutely did not want in red. We also added a few songs here and there. Based on that alone, Nick put together a wonderful playlist that all of our friends and family enjoyed.
The photo booth was a hit. We wanted an open photo booth so people wouldn’t have to cram into a small space. I loved how there was a photo booth attendant to help and make sure that all of the inebriated individuals didn’t break something, inadvertently walk off with a prop, and push the button to take the picture.
Fantasy Sound was an excellent vendor. I would recommend them to anyone getting married in the Bay Area :)

My wife & I organized my daughter’s wedding which was held on 6÷25÷15.
We selected Fantasy Sound Services for our Lighting, Drapery & Custom Monogram GOBO wash with their names.
They were fantastic to work with and they did a superb job. Everyone was extremely complimentary with everything they did. The candlelight round Chandeliers were beautiful.
We worked with Kevin Dennis, the Owner, and he was exceptional to work with. We provided ideas of what we wanted and he provided his ideas and at the end of the day what Fantasy did was beautiful and extremely memorable.
We would wholeheartedly recommend Fantasy Sound Services for your upcoming Wedding.

I’m surprised how everyone mentions how great and responsive they are.
I sent a email at least over a month ago and got a auto reply that they where out of the office, which fine everyone is entitled to vacation. I proceeded to then send the e-​mail to the person that it was noted I should then contact and still haven’t heard back.
Thumbs down in my book.

We booked Fantasy Sound for our wedding and they were excellent. They provided all the sound equipment for our outside ceremony as well as the interior reception. The sound was excellent and they even provided a wireless lapel microphone for our minister so everyone could hear. The DJ was professional, and on-​point with the music cues and helping the flow of the evening. We had tons of fun dancing the night away and Fantasy Sound did a great job of keeping the event fun and stress free. I highly recommend them for any event, they did a great job.

Nick did an amazing job at our wedding. He was our Dj. You can tell that he knows how to read a crowd. I would say one of the most important things. We gave him a list of music we like of all different genres and had him play different songs whenever he felt appropriate. I have recommended him to many family and friends already. Don’t waste your time searching like I did. These guys are worth every penny!

Fantasy Sound was our videographer for our wedding & a last minute addition at that. I swore up and down that it was a waste of time and precious dollars. I didn’t think we’d ever actually watch the video and enjoy it.
In the end, Fantasy Sound outdid every expectation I could have had. I barely noticed Jill was working at our wedding and the outcome makes me feel like we’re famous! We received a highlight video and a full length, capturing all of the major moments of the day. Since receiving the video, I’ve easily watched it 20 times and it makes me so damn happy. It’s lovely to revisit the day because as a bride & groom there really is so little time to spend with our loved ones. I’m happy to see all the shining faces of our guests captured on film, completely enjoying themselves. The editing and footage that Jill has is also incredible. I welled up in tears for the first few times I watched the videos and literally want to show every person that comes into our house. As my cousin said, «Your wedding looks like a commercial on TV!»
Jill, you did an amazing job. Thank you for being professional, seamless, and producing a quality product. You rock!
If you’re having doubts whether or not to book a videographer for you wedding day, heed my advice and just do it already! You won’t be disappointed!

Nick DJ’d our September 2013 wedding and was great! He had everyone dancing from start to finish. When we met beforehand he had great suggestions. He was also awesome about not playing our «do not play» list despite guest requests. I highly recommend Nick’s services!

We used Fantasy Sound for lighting at our September wedding at Palm Event Center. We were very happy with all of our vendors, but Fantasy let us down.
We chose to hang market lights and select spotlights for our reception — the lighting itself turned out great. Fantasy was responsive and easy to work with leading up to the event.
However, we were very disappointed with the cleanup crew. By the time PEC turned on the regular lights (11 pm on the dot), they were already standing in the cherry picker in the reception area. I understand that it’s late and they need to get stuff down, but the last song had literally just ended and people were still on the dance floor — us included! I was totally embarrassed — that’s just so tacky. They actually began taking the strings of lights down while our guests were still gathering their belongings — I seriously thought someone was going to get knocked in the head by one of the strings. We certainly didn’t let it ruin our night, but I did feel this was worth a Unilocal review to give others a heads up. :/

After seeing photos of Fantasy Sound’s beaded chandelier used at our venue, Palm Event Center, we decided we had to rent one as a «splurge» for our wedding. And we’re so happy we did! The 12 foot by 12 foot chandelier framed the dance floor perfectly, and added just the right amount of sparkle. Our décor was simple and the chandelier added that wow factor. We used white light because we wanted to brighten up the ballroom a bit, and it was perfect for us.
Also, the booking process was super simple, and Fantasy Sound is great about doing business remotely through email and by phone, for the busy bride.

We only hired Fantasy Sound for the huge fancy chandelier in the middle of the dance floor. It was such a conversational piece. It looked so amazing, fancy and gorgeous. It was very expensive but worth every penny. Unfortunately, there was no picture of it taken by our photographer.

Fantasy did our wedding lighting at the Palm Event Center at the end of August. We asked for large, multi-​sized/​multi-​height paper lanterns to be hung throughout the room. My initial vision was for all of the lanterns to be lit and for the entire ceiling grid to be filled. I was a little uncomfortable at first because Nick said they had never done anything like this before, but recommended that we do not fill the entire ceiling grid and not put a light in every single lantern as it would make the room too bright. After some discussion, we met halfway and agreed to more lanterns than he recommended and only half of them with lights inside. When I arrived on the day of my wedding, the room looked beautiful. The lanterns were hung at varying heights as I envisioned, creating the feel of lanterns floating upward. The lanterns also looked beautiful in the photos, both in the professional shots as well as shots taken by family and friends.
Nick and the Fantasy Team were professional and easy to work with. Their office space was comfortable, and their ability to process payment over the phone and signatures online was very convenient. I definitely recommend them if you’re planning a wedding in the TriValley area, especially at Casa Real or the Palm Event Center (they’re a preferred vendor). And I definitely recommend them over Hartmann, the other vendor we were considering. Hartmann was impersonal and not responsive in a timely manner. Definitely consider Fantasy over Hartmann.

We worked with Fantasy Sound for our wedding lighting at Murrieta’s Well. We did 5 chandeliers and champagne uplighting which really brought the right amount of glam and warmth to such a rustic venue.
I am really pleased that we worked with Fantasy Sound as they made the process seamless and were very professional. They were fully experienced with the location and come our wedding day, we literally walked up and were in awe with how everything turned out.
