After a short while, I noticed a burning oil smell when I was stopped. I figured there was some residual oil on the engine or something, but long story short they hadn’t tightened my obvious, easily reached filter the whole way on. By the time I got to it, it needed a full turn to secure. … Just bad news, man

They are always friendly and welcoming at Big Ray’s. I went in for an oil change and a tune up. They estimated the tune up to take an hour, but it only took 15 minutes. It was great! I have been going there the past two years for oil changes and I have no complaints!

I will do all of my oil changes here! In and out in 8 minutes. Guys were cool and none of the upsell nonsense. They’re straight and to the point. No nonsense. You want it or you don’t, «no skin off our sac» attitude. I like that! Price was great too! They checked tires and my other fluids and topped off as necessary. Out the door for $ 25. That’s with a $ 5 coupon from their website. Highly recommended!

If you´re the type of person who hates upsells and high-​pressure sales tactics at oil change places, Big Ray´s is for you. I asked for and received the standard oil without any pressure, instead being told that I should consider high mileage oil once my car gets to about 100k miles — but again no pressure to spend more today than I intended. The place was conveniently open on a Sunday, there was no wait, and the price was right. The manager (Mike I believe) was polite and prompt, but best of all honest and not trying to play any games. I will be coming here again in a few thousand miles.

I used to get good deals for an oil change at this place. It was $ 15 for an oil change if you bring your own oil. Now they want $ 20 even if you bring your own oil AND filter! I have no idea how they stay on business. This place is always empty. If you look for bargains and smiles, look elsewhere.

Whooo-​ee! Big Ray and his crew sure are quick!
Seriously, I think they changed my oil in 5 minutes. At noon. On a Saturday. I just drove up and they did it.
I then drove the car on a road trip and nothing unfortunate happened, so I’m going to conclude that these guys are fast *and* competent. For 20 bucks, can’t beat it!
