5 stars for a cemetery, you might be asking? Really?
Well after having buried generations of my family here, I think the staff and the grounds are second to none.
The staff is always accommodating, whether it is to arrange services in the chapel on the grounds or graveside. When we had a theft problem with the brass containers on the graves being stolen, they quickly replaced the brass flower containers.
They keep the grounds immaculate– even to the point of spraying the algae in the pond so that it never gets too thick. .. .and the grounds are kept perfectly with the lawns never looking overgrown (part of this is due to the fact that they only allow flat headstones so the mowers can go right over them)
There are large ponds that used to have beautiful white swans swimming on them but on my most recent visit– they were noticeably absent. It is one of my childhood memories of this place being chased by those swans. .…I hope they aren’t banished forever!
Prices for sites are competitive and more areas are constantly opening up so that they can accommodate the next generation. I chuckled a little bit on my last visit as they have a sign posted that «space is available» in the mausoleum. Made me laugh on a day when nothing else did as I think advertising in the park is an interesting strategy.
While I am not personally looking for an in ground burial when my time to Unilocal is done. .…if I was. .. .and if I still lived in the area. .. .this would be where I would want to be.
