I recently held a corporate function at this vineyard. We were in the tasting room which also serves as a concert hall and event center. I was blow away by the customer service, the tasting room décor and the pipe organ. What a lovely place. The grounds are also very, very nice and we enjoyed all the wine we tasted. We had the opportunity to meet the owners and the wine maker. What a interesting, lovely family. I plan to return at every opportunity. What a great family, local owned business.

The wine is fantastic! You go wine tasting to find some great wine. Now, the service is okay depending on the time of day, depending on what time you get there, depending on who is serving, depending on how they are feeling. Shaun can be fun once you get over the sarcasm. The mom slash owner never have I had a good experience with her if the timing is off. So go try the wine I am sure you will love it but don’t expect too much from the service. Remember you were warned.

Like with most «mom & pop» businesses, things can be a little quirky.
I highly recommend this location to anyone wanting a quaint winery wedding in Lodi, CA.

Stayed here as Harveat Host members. Arrived in our RV rhe night before, and went in to meet the owner and do some wine tasting. The grounds are beautiful and the wines were good. It was a downer vibe though. Linda gave us a few pours and turned the organ on… I’m just more into wineries that tout their wines though. She wasnt interested in sharing stories of their uniqueness or any feature about their wines, staff, vineyards, etc. We asked a lot of questions about where their various grapes are grown, where they process, etc. I felt as though we were a burden and she had more important things to tend to. We wanted a bottle but with the «that’s it?» response from her, we felt obligated to get a second bottle. Stayed long enough to drink a glass and got out of there. My husband and I are passionate about wine, and about local, small winery operations. It’s too bad that the owner doesn’t share the passion. Bummed :(it’s the first Harvest Host location that disappointed us.

We just held a lovely reception at Harmony Wynelands. I’ll admit that I didn’t thoroughly read the reviews before booking here, but upon meeting the staff and booking the location, I could tell that we’d need to keep a close eye on things and confirm (and reconfirm) the components of our event and plan to keep things running smoothly. All in all, our event turned out just fine.
We required minimal setup from their staff and minimal organization on their part, as we handled most of it on our end. Harmony did set up tables and place linens and our centerpieces, the patio looked lovely. It’s a beautiful setting and worth considering – just book the space and handle all of the logistics and hire out for everything else.
There was only one odd thing… we held our event on the outdoor patio, which was separated from the tasting room by a closed door. When booking the event, we let them know that we’d hired a musician for the beginning of our (daytime) event and they said it was no problem. About 15 minutes into our musician playing, the staff person asked if our musician «could take a 5 minute break» because they wanted to have someone play their pipe organ (inside the tasting room) and they didn’t want our hired musician to interfere with their organ! I was definitely taken aback, I mean, we paid a lot of money to book this venue and a lot to hire a musician — now we were being asked if he could stop playing? It seemed a very odd request considering we had permission for the musician to play. Not wanting any problems, we dismissed our musician and let the organ music go on… it was actually cool having the organ music for a little while, but still — very odd.
What this place needs is a business manager/​event planner. They need a person who understands the business and who is organized, technologically savvy and good with people. I truly think they could double their event business if they had someone like this on board. With family-​owned establishments, the folks who run things are often just there by default. They are not hired for being good at their job, they are there because they are «family».
I don’t think that the people who run Harmony are intentionally rude– they don’t try to be cold, unaccommodating or unprofessional, they just aren’t good with people, and it comes across the wrong way.

Good wine, friendly servers, gorgeous setting, and the organ was just a nice bonus. A very enjoyable experience.

On a breezy winter day, my husband and I had time for one more wine tasting and decided that we would try Harmony. We walked into an empty tasting room and the owner (Linda) came out of the back room. I asked if they were still open and she said yes — which she really didn’t have to since it was just about closing time. As we continued to ask questions and taste the wine, the son Shawn came in and lit the fireplace which definitely warmed the atmosphere. Shawn showed us the famous organ — which the building was built around. From that moment on, we truly had an enjoyable evening conversing with both Linda and Shawn. Hopefully others will have the same delightful experience we had.

WOW! All five wines we tasted were delicious. The wine tasting rooms is really cool and the grounds are lovely. The coolest part is that they have an organ and all the pipes behind the walls. Ask them to play a tune for you on the organ! It’s so awesome!

My husband and I got married on Sept 20^th 2014 at Harmony!
We booked the venue WELL in advance because it was such a great value. When you’re planning a wedding every penny counts. I was born and raised in Lodi and moved to the Bay Area for college. My Husband was born and raised in Placerville, but also moved to the Bay Area for college. We looked at all kinds of venues from Santa Cruz to Placerville/​Folsom. Aside from a couple of SMALL venues in Placerville, Harmony was by far the best bang for our buck.
I received so many great compliments about the venue from my guests. It was a great size for our 150 guest wedding… not too big… not too small. It offered beautiful views of the vineyards and a lovely reception area. The tasting room is a bit kitschy with it’s theater organ and vino themed gifts/​trinkets around. However, when it started raining having one of our guests hop on the theater organ really made things fun!
Harmony offers a catering package for an additional charge with their venue rental or you can use a preferred caterer. We went outside catering (see my review for Da Vincis of Lodi) and did not feel stressed about the coordination at all.
Linda, the owner of Harmony and the event coordinator was very helpful when we could get a hold of her. It was a bit difficult working with her remotely from the Bay Area (or trying to go through my mom). Email was not always the best way to communicate… I would recommend in person meetings or phone calls… followed up with written communication. My experience, in general with planning, was that having a paper trail was very important for all my vendors.
Biggest challenges were communication and coordinating payments (keep a paper trail).
Overall the wedding went smoothly with no hitches. Linda and her team even extended our open bar by an hour, free of charge. It was a beautiful venue and I would recommend it to any local couples!

I was recently married there… It was such a memorable event. Everyone loved the setting for both the ceremony and the reception. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL. Linda was extremely helpful in planning my special day. My friends and family had a fabulous time. Will definitely be returning to do some more tasting and visit where we tied the knot.

I just wanted to share my thoughts on a couple visits to harmony wynelands. My brother recently got married there so we visited once for the rehearsal and then of course to attend the wedding. I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Shawn the winemaker and the owners son. He is friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. I was the only one tasting at the moment and I enjoyed the wine and chatting.
When we returned for the wedding I met the owner. I was coordinating the wedding ceremony and helping my brother and future sister in law with everything that night– and I am totally blown away at how unpleasant the owner was. I really wonder why she runs a venue when she so obviously dislikes dealing with people. She was rude to several guests at the wedding. She just walked into the bridal party room and told us she needed to use the restroom and they needed to give leave while the girls were using the mirror. She didn’t even introduce herself as the owner and ask if she could have the bathroom– she just told the girls she needed the restroom. (There is a womens bathroom not far she could have used).
Later on there was some issue with what time they had booked the venue. She started telling the guests that the wedding was over and told the DJ to stop playing music and to make an announcement that everyone had 10 minutes to leave. This was a mistake or miscommunication in the paperwork that should never have happened. Instead of enjoying the night the bride and groom had to go into her office and wait for her to pull up paperwork.
It is a great little place with a rustic/​antique looking tasting room and nice wedding venue but the woman who owns the place is rude, disorganized and totally inconsiderate.

Harmony!!! Harmony Wynelands is the antithesis of harmony! We went wine tasting today searching for a winery to become members of. I should have done my homework and researched Unilocal before heading out. We first went to a winery two miles away from Harmony which by the way had excellent wine, friendly service, and a reasonable tasting fee policy that was communicated to us.
The second place we went to was Harmony, empty tasting room, except for us which should have been a sign. The mom stated that their winery was the most popular winery venue in the area for weddings (highly doubtful). We saw the bleak set up for a wedding tonight and were unimpressed. Their bouschet wine «almost won an award.» Hmmm. Now I’m not believing anything she says. Mom was unfriendly, maybe because she was SO overworked with two customers, and NEVER explained their unreasonable tasting fee policy. They (arrogant son and unfriendly mom) were more concerned about tasting fees than selling wine or other merchandise judging by the unharmonious heated exchange (initiated on their end) that ensued over their crappy policy. What? We’re out for a nice afternoon of wine tasting I don’t want to argue with anyone let alone the owners. If I was aware of this crappy policy I wouldn’t have purchased anything more than tastings. I’m not swayed, like some of the reviewers here, with a musty organ and an overfed cat.
There is no way I could ever enjoy the wine we purchased, so I will be giving it away. We will not only not become members of their wine club we will NEVER step foot in their tasting room again AND tell every wine drinker we know about our experience. More importantly, please research other venues before deciding on this one for your wedding; because the region is brimming with excellent choices.

I am giving this winery one star strictly for bad customer service. My fiancé and I were there today and came in for a tasting. As stated on their menu with the purchase of a bottle of wine the tasting fee is waived. Except their sparking wine which is $ 12. We decided to purchase a bottle of red and she turned around and got snippy with the step son about us not paying the tasting fee. He then told her it was clearly stated on the menu and when she ran my card for the wine she still included the tasting fee anyways. I didn’t say anything and just paid it cause there was other people at the bar. But I found her very rude the entire time and she clearly needs to follow her own rules. There are so many good welcoming wineries in Lodi and this one is definitely not one of them.

I had my wedding here this last weekend. the venue is spectacular and really provides an intimate and romantic vintage feel. My guests were just absolutely in awe at how beautiful the venue was. Shaun and Linda, (son and mother) run the vineyard together along with bob, the owner. Bob delights crowds with his magnificient pipe organ, an instrument they built the whole tasting room around. Linda can be a bit particular about coordinating your event and definitely has many ideas of her own. I think years of experience has made her this way. Sean (shawn? Shaun?) is awesome and extremely accommodating of his guests. And Linda runs a business – so there are two very different personality types you encounter when dealing with these two – understand that they both compliment each other and make this venue successful. However, I was treated like family there from the day I booked the venue up to this very day, more than a year later. The venue is intimate and doesn’t seem pretentious or uppity – and then Bob plays the pipe organ and you are captivated and filled with overwhelming emotion. All of a sudden a small, intimate venue turns into a room fit to announce a king and queen to tea.
There is no hard liquor allowed at this venue, and because of Lodi’s noise ordinance, they either have to move your party inside to the tasting room or turn the music down to a certain decibel level after 10:00 pm. We didn’t notice anything was missing really. Their wines are some of the best I’ve had and I mainline their champagne like gatorade after a hot day in the sun since it’s so good. My guests were delighted with the stories they told about the vineyard and the personal tales they (shaun and linda) shared. Everyone loved how intimate it was, yet they can seat up to 170 I believe (don’t quote me).
The prices were reasonable (wine prices, venue prices, deposit expectations, etc.), and their wines are worth every sip. The event went smooth, all my stuff was neatly packed up the next day even though I thrashed the bridal room, and things seemed to go according to planned. I accidentally overbooked the beverage package by 10 or more people, they found a way to rectify this even though in my contract it was an «all sales final» number tally I gave.
I really enjoyed my day. We had a few pitfalls – they didn’t want to crack the champagne until after the ceremony. Ugh. And one of the ladies working the wine counter was nickel and diming us for every bottle of champagne we had before the wedding – had I known I would have brought one of my many bottles of champagne from home to avoid the conflict. However, shaun is an amazing people person and understands that it’s his customers that keep the place alive and he does everything in his power to keep everyone happy.
I really want to give them 5 stars because I definitely felt like a family member there and had a beautiful wedding that I pictured only in my dreams. But you do have to navigate the rules and expectations of the vineyard a bit, and follow Lodi’s obnoxious ordinances such as no hard liquor, no loud music, etc. I had also spoken to them about setting up the wedding décor the day before months in advance and the thursday before I had everyone lined up to be there on friday, they informed me that they had scheduled all the landscaping and cleaning people to be there and setting up early would only result in my decorations getting dirty. We were not allowed to set up as early as we would have liked. I felt like I wasted the time of 5 different people that showed up that day expecting to decorate and were not allowed to.
We were only permitted to set up during non-​business hours as they do not close the venue down on saturdays just because you have a wedding there later that evening. We had plenty of time to decorate in retrospect, but only because I had a crew of people willing to help and slam it all out. I recommend having a decorating crew ready to go and just staging elements of the décor before you do it as they will not give you an 8 hour day before to get things ready and feel good about it. Linda assured me it would all get done. She was right, but it all came together at the last minute. Not desirable for a planning savvy bride.
I do want to thank them all for my terrific day. All in all it was a success and my guests said everything was above and beyond and totally over the top. What more could a bride ask for from a wedding review? The four stars is because of the difficulty trying to navigate my wedding alongside with normal business hours of the venue and a chain of emails that had to happen over changing out my beer preferences that should have been an easy switch. Honestly I didn’t think they were going to change them and it started to stress me out a lot. but they did come through in the end and it was a fairytale wedding when all was said and done.

This winery was okay. We visited on a hot day and it felt like there was no air conditioning in the tasting room The wine was lukewarm. I had read there was no tasting fee but there was a $ 5.00 fee (typical for the area)

This is a regular stop when friends come into town and we go wine tasting. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is always very nice. On several occasions the owners son has gone to the house and asked his father to come out and play their beautiful pipe organ. Last weekend was the first time I had been there for an event. They set up in a beautiful courtyard which is right next to the tasting room. What a great place to host an event.

Although they were beginning to set up for a wedding in the courtyard, Shaun still managed to give us a great tasting. Shaun is the owner’s son and quite the conversationalist. We talked about various topics aside from wine including his childhood and also a funny discussion on how entitiled the new generation is lol. I enjoyed the wines here mostly the reds and the prices aren’t too bad either.

I’ve never been wine tasting before and I am so happy I ran across this winery! The drive in was gorgeous and the scenery around the vineland was picture worthy! I saw a deal on Groupon and snatched it fast! $ 19.00 for the tasting and a bottle (our choice)! Nice! We arrived to the winery at about 2:30 p.m. and noticed that our pourer was running around because of a wedding about to go down in 30 minutes. We were cool about it and obviously they were also with the size of the pours :)
We tried 6 wines (3 whites & 3 reds) and a tasty sparkling wine as the grand finale… It was well worth the money and the time! I would give it 5 stars but we were left alone for minutes at a time and though it wasn’t major, our glasses were thirsty lol! I will definitely return here in the near future!

We were invited to try Harmony Wyneland by one of their pourers, Susan, who we met at another winery during our daytrip to Lodi. Nice grounds to have an event; they were setting up for a wedding while we were tasting. Some very nice reds, went home w/​a bottle of Pipe Dreams.

I’m a little surprised to see these negative reviews. I’ve never been to a wedding there, but the family seems like good people and treated our diverse wine tasting group very well.
If you’ve never been to Harmony, it’s fun must stop on your Lodi wine tasting trip. One of the first things you’ll notice is the old organ in the tasting room. Wine and pipe organ? What is this, Catholic mass?
I knew it special as soon as the old codger farmer of an owner sat and started playing «Happy Birthday» for Steve S. That was awesome.
Winewise the GMA was tasty.
Cool place, good people. And, yes, the ladies do like the strapping young wine maker.
