Lodi Smog & Service Center

Had my car smogged here and it failed. I did the necessary fixes and took my car back for a re-​smog and was told they are refusing to re-​smog because i talked to them poorly the first time. I never spoke to anyone poorly the only conversation was them explaining the issue and me asking a few questions but never was anything in a poor or negative tone and so obviously they don’t want to honor the discounted or free re-​smog if car fails. Im the most shy person I know. I wish I had it in me to be assertive or speak up but I don’t. I’m dumbfounded. My dad usually takes all our cars in for smog at bobs precision and he said they are always nice and courteous and would never pull this type of stunt so taking it to bobs from this point forward.

Been going here since 2006 and the service and treatment I receive is bar none the best. Very convenient. Knowing there are thousands of places that do Smog Certs I would recommend this shop to everyone in town!

great customer service. Dropped my car off at 5:15 not expecting them to be able to do a smog check and the guy said it was no problem. Had my car done in less than 30 mins! Really nice people, highly recommend.

Nice place. Employees are kind and didn’t take long… Haha just an hour. Not too expensive.

Professional and wonderful customer service! Our RV failed smog & we had them do a diagnostic & after some carb adjustments & hose changes it passed with flying colors! Reasonably priced & quick service. These folks are our new smog place. Highly recommend! Thanks LSSC!

Overall, very good experience. I went in for a smog check and they were able to fit me in on the same day. They were very quick and on top of their work. Hillary was easy to work with and explained exactly what I needed. I would go back and/​or recommend this place to a friend.

I was referred to LSSC by my trusted mechanic, who, as usual, turned out to be correct… This is a top notch Star smog testing and repair shop. His prices are reasonable and, unlike another shop down the street on Lodi Avenue, customers are treated with courtesy…

I have never had a problem with this company and only trust this shop to touch my vehicles, to the point to where I live in Sacramento now and I still continue to come to this shop. Incredibly dissapointed with the people at Lodi Smog and Service. Unethical business owners. To run a deal for a lower rate and then scam them into paying an unnecessary retest. If I had to sum up my review in one word — SHEISTY!

Got to say these folks are straight up.
My car didn’t pass for smog at a check only station. I took it to a mechanic I know but he couldn’t work on it as he wasn’t certified to do smog repairs and it could run a few hundred up to $ 1200. Ouch!
I was worried when I brought it to them and they said the same thing. at least a few hours to diagnose as no codes were being displayed. So I was prepared for a large bill.
I was very happy when they found it was just a dirty sensor that was easily cleaned. They even matched the retest price I had at the 1^st shop and finished the smog check right there. Can’t ask for better than that!
