The best beef jerky around. You have to go in to the store to get it. They used to ship it, but the shipped doesn’t taste the same. No big deal, even if you live within 4 hours! It’s gone up about double in price over the past few years, which is a bummer. And the jerky is not quite consistent with flavors. Sometimes the flavor is very weak, sometimes it is good.

Hidden gem! I’ve lived in the area for years now but just found this place. Two words people: BEEFJERKY! We had the Hawaiian beef jerky and I couldn’t stop eating it, not chewy and rock hard like your gas station jerky. Very cute nostalgic little stop, worth the ride if you don’t live near by. Get ready for the jerky!!!

My in-laws live about 20 minutes from Mack’s food locker and we stop by whenever we’re in Ohio for a visit and make sure to get extra jerky to bring home with us. On our most recent visit, the price of the jerky went up to $ 18.99/lb, which seems really high to me, but there aren’t many places around where you can get in-house made jerky, so we pay-up. The hawaiian jerky and and terriyaki are two of our favs.

Thank god this place was here. Needed a emergency stop in the middle of nowhere and this place did it. They use 2 ply toilet paper! A++++ No hand towels though. Interesting joint.

Best beef jerky in the area. Groceries are expensive, but people come there for the meat and the jerky. The smokies are good too.

Until recently, I thought beef jerky was limited to the kind you buy in the grocery store. You know, the hard to chew stuff loaded with sodium? My guess is that it has a looong shelf life. Hubby & I have friends who make their own jerky out of deer meat, but we’re not hunters, so accessibility is limited. If you’re like us and don’t want to have to kill the animal yourself, go to Mack’s. They have grocery items in the front of the store and a meat counter in the back. Go to the back. You will find a half dozen flavors of jerky, as well as beef sticks, sausages and a variety of fresh cut meat. If you want to ship jerky, they can vacuum seal it for you while you wait. Don’t settle for a brand name jerky, you deserve better!
