Perfect Balance Day Spa

I just came back from my first massage here, and I must say, I don’t think I have ever felt this relaxed! My massage therapist, Brytnee, was hands-​down the best I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a massage– in fact, I plan to have my fiancé drive down and see her well. She really focused on my troubled areas and even showed me a stretch afterwords that could help alleviate some pain. I will definitely be back!

I’ve been here a few times before, but I’ve never wrote a review. My experience today was over the top relaxing and I am so happy that I booked this appointment.
I suffer from upper back pain. I work a desk job full time and go to school part time. I’m almost 40 so my body isn’t like it used to be (hahaha). I don’t have frequent massage visits but I thought it was due time.
If you didn’t know, the spa area has expanded. The expansion is very pleasing to the eye and peacefully secluded in the back of the building. There is a nice waiting area with snacks, infused water, and various teas available.
I didn’t wait more than 5 minutes and was taken upstairs to a room with a soothing ambiance. My masseuse was a nice lady named Jackie S. She asked me what areas I needed help with and had great suggestions (such as adding the hot stone… totally worth it).
I have to say that this was the best massage I’ve ever had. I’ve been to Wine and Roses and Perfect Balance beats their service. Wine and Roses may have the nice locker rooms and what not but I’d rather have an excellent massage any day. Jackie is hands down my favorite! I feel like a brand new person! She helped me get the knots out of my back and I feel awesome!

My mom and I just had a great girls day here yesterday! We enjoyed ourselves so much! The staff is great and it was so relaxing! We decided to do this once a month! Glad we came.

I took my husband here for his first massage. He was hesitant, but told me he would go for his birthday. We had our couples massage at the new hideaway area. It was very nicely done. We both enjoyed our massages and he said he is open to getting another massage in the future. We will definitely be coming back here!

Wonderful spa. Highly recommend to anyone needing pampering. Tanya was amazing. Great personality to go with my «waxing». They have bridal packages, Mani/​pedi, massages, hair specialists. They sell Bare Minerals products along with others. I’ve been to a few «day spas» in Lodi and this one is the best!!!

I’ve been coming here for years. The prices are very reasonable. The ladies are all very knowledgeable on all their products and services. I never had a haircut that I was 100% happy with, until I can here! my stylist had changed afew times. Which was upsetting arty first. But ever girl I’ve gone to has been amazing! I won’t go anywhere else! I also get my makeup and face products here as well! Love this place!

My hubby and I had our first couples massage for Valentines Day. Champs and chocolate covered strawberries came with our package. The staff was awesome, our masseuse’s were the best.

Ahhh a perfect day for a Perfect Balance. One of my wedding gift from my cousin Windie. Just so perfect to get an awesome facial & a deep tissue massage. I truly love this place, a sincere welcome from the staff & a good location. When you drive up to this place you first thought would be «who lives here»? Because its not a business building. Its a house converted into a spa place. Its cool inside. Lots of little nick-​nacks & it smells good! My favorite service was my deep tissue massage. I will definetely go back again! I thank my cousin for sharing this place with me. It was a perfect gift.

Love this place! I have had many massages and other spa treatments here and the staff are always friendly and professional. I get regular emails updating me on specials they have throughout the month… which are great prices! I will definitely be back.

My fiancé bought me a gift card here for my birthday. I never pamper myself and this was a really nice treat! I opted for the massage with deep tissue. I think Joanne did a great job keeping me relaxed and keeping enough pressure to work out the kinks at the same time. Hope I’ll get to go back soon!

I think I just need to move in I’ve enjoyed this place so much! I’ve had hair treatments (Keratin and color/​cut) with Melissa S, a mani/​pedi by Joie and massages by Joanne and Laura. All were excellent! I highly recommend this as a warm, welcoming place!

Absolute gem! I took my sister here to celebrate her upcoming wedding and was very impressed with the service and treatments. The ambiance is wonderful and everything about the service is truly a perfect balance. I highly recommend this spa for an amazing spa experience!

I love perfect balance day spa! I was shocked by the reviews it has received thus far. This spa deserves all 5 star reviews. I have experienced a stone massage treatment, couple’s massage, many pedicures, waxing and even a makeup tutorial class. All of which have been fabulous. Just walking into the charming Victorian house you feel more relaxed. If you want to treat yourself this is a great spa to visit.

I had services performed by Joie Lopes. Not only was she completely unprofessional but I cant believe a salon of this caliber would hire her! I had my hair dyed brown and when it came out BLACK I was reassured that in a few days it would «fade». Well fade it did with large streaks and all. When I called Joie to schedule a time to come back in and for her to fix the issue she acted as if I was in the wrong, and informed me that she would charge me more to fix it!!!
NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN!!! I hope this salon learns their lesson and doesnt keep her around because they will for sure regret it!

Aptly named, if Perfect Balance were closer to my house, I’d become a regular.
My mom and I stopped here on a girls’ trip to Lodi for wine tasting. What better way to start a wine tasting trip than with a stop at a day spa for a facial and massage?!
Mom was whisked away for a facial while I was escorted to the relaxing massage room. Stephanie, the massage therapist, did a great job locating all of the knots is my always-​tense shoulders and back. I asked her to leave no knot unturned and she valiantly took on the challenge. Thanks, Stephanie. That was an amazing massage.
From there, Mom and I switched roles. Jennifer, one of the owners, was my aesthetician for the afternoon. Snuggled into the warm blankets on the table, she proceeded to pamper and polish my face. I left the room feeling clean, hydrated, and completely pampered.
Thanks, also, to Jennifer. A fellow foodie, she recommended a local restaurant and was spot on with the recommendation. It was the best meal that we ate in Lodi.
Do yourself a favor. Stop by to visit Stephanie and Jennifer. You will be glad that you did.

Perfect Balance Day Spa is a 5 star place & would give more if I could!!! In my opinion this is the BEST day spa around. The day spa is in a beautiful Victorian house in one of Lodi’s most beautiful neighborhoods. Upon walking into the place, it feels like you are visiting friends (even if you have never been there before), the theme is perfect and sets the mood for a relaxing atmosphere (no bright lights and ugly countertops), this place sets a high standard for what a day spa should be, the staff is very knowledgable & they listen to the clients.
As far as eyebrows & waxing services go, I would rate them at the top of my list, they «take time» to «shape» your brows and make them actually compliment your face which is more than I can say for a few other places (no stencils allowed & no walking out feeling browless… yes it happens — but not here :). Want a special look or fuller brows, just let them know & I’m sure they’ll be able to help… same with the makeup services, did I mention they have a LARGE boutique of BARE MINERALS makeup??? Well they do OH YEEEAH!!! The Bare Minerals Boutique– it makes the selection @ Macys & Ulta look minimal.
Pedicures! They have an awesome pedicure room, take a few of your favorite friends & relax with a sugar scrub on those tired feet, foot stations are VERY clean, relaxing, and as usual great service. One of the better pedicures I’ve had — that goes for the foot massage.
Now moving onto their massages… Ok, so I personally haven’t tried (I prefer facials) BUT I know many people (family/​friends) who LOVE the massages here. It must be really good considering these people are coming from Sacramento & other areas with plenty of other options within walking distance.
PERFECT BALANCE is a great place to escape. Give them a try and judge for yourself. OH & guys go get your special lady a gift certificate — you don’t even have to step foot in the door — just purchase from the website — even better they keep names on file (in the event that you misplace your certificate)…pretty good!

I liked my eyebrows when they were done by the owner, Jackie. Then the next time I came in I met with another aesthetician. I asked her to wax the other parts of my face that I usually get done (what– I like being hairless) and she said, «I don’t want to wax your whole face.» I couldn’t tell if she meant it, if it was a professional declaration on her part, or part jest. She was sweet though and ended up waxing what I told her to. But when I got out and was paying the bill, the cash register wouldn’t print out the receipt. So I waited there for 5 minutes, all the while face to face with another employee cutting cloth strips for waxing. That employee didn’t even bother to make eye contact with me, talking to the aesthetician, but never even saying hi. Isn’t it a rule of thumb when dealing with clients, everyone is pleasant? If I want to drop $ 200 next time, well you better make sure I come back with your excellent service, b/​c spa treatments aren’t cheap! That counter woman never said a darned thing, even when I was saying goodbye. They’ve been in business for 20 years. That’s wonderful. but I doubt I’ll go there again. Darn it. I really wanted to like balance day spa. But I’m picky about customer service. In this kind of economy, every dollar counts. And if I’m spending it at a place to get pampered or to take care of myself, well, I should feel that way at the end of my services, right?
