Sanborn Collision Center

We had to take our 2001 Chevy Silverado into the collision center and Juan Reyna was our advisor. He was GREAT! He kept us up-​to-​date through the entire process, contacted the insurance company when more damage was located and never left us in the dark about anything. He was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We would take our vehicles back to this dealership without hesitation. Juan represented this dealership in a positive light and if I owned a business I would definitely want him working for me!!!

This body shop is a joke. I’ve recently been in a collision and was asked by the individual paying for the damage to get multiple estimates. This place was the last i went to after several very well known and reputable body shops in stockton. Sanborn Collision Center had given me an estimate only half of the damage repairs estimated by two 5 star worthy body shops i had gone to previously, while also only fixing half the damage, because the rest was «outrageous» and didn’t 100% need to be done, but could «use» doing, and were tolerable to just leave, instead of giving an estimate to repair my vehicle to what it had been prior to said accident… yeah, seems kinda odd to me that a body shop doesn’t want to estimate a good amount of necessary work to make money supporting their craft, weird right?. Outrageous to fix a vehicle to its original condition? I call that outlandish. I had found out later that the man i was dealing with is a close friend to the guy paying for the damage out of pocket because he didn’t want to deal with insurance, and convinced the man to give me the lowest estimate possible (whilst not even repairing the damage done) so that he could avoid actually paying for what really needed to be done. The man i dealt with had told me that the unnecessary work was just better to leave and pocket the cash, instead of repairing for business revenue? I call this shady business, to an honest person wanting nothing more than the repairs necessary. I honestly have no clue how this place stays in business. Above all, do not deal with a shady individual named Dan Votaw, what a joker. And quite frankly, for quality work, i would avoid this place completely. There are far better body shops several exits down highway 99 that do 5 star grade AAA+ work. Look for Crivello’s and Cavvalino Coachworks for the best work in the area.
