Woodland Ridge Lodge & Cabins

Beautiful cabin and grounds. We stayed at the leaning tree cabin with friends. Watched deer walking in the woods while having my morning coffee. Linens could be a little better, towels seemed to be a little old but we’re clean. I will definitely stay here again. Although make sure you have 4wd if you stay at this cabin, it’s just a little steep.

I would consider this company to be very unprofessional. I had inquired in an email about a particular lodge in order to have a wedding. The person that I was in contact with really was not able to answer any of my questions regarding the lodge. I arranged to view the lodge and took a day off from work to drive 2.5 hours to see the place with my parents and fiancé. We were scheduled to see the place at noon. No one showed up and after 3 phone calls and one email, someone answered the phone. The person appeared to be very confused regarding our meeting (even though he is the one I had been emailing back and forth) and ultimately said someone forgot (passed the buck– claiming he told that person the date and time he was scheduled to be there) and really didn’t apologize. When I started asking questions regarding the facility, said person wasn’t able to answer them. Instead, he again passed the buck referring me to call back the next day to speak with someone else. I have canceled my reservation and the person is now saying that I have to pay a $ 125 cancellation fee (per their vague policies). The fee will not be waved because «I agreed» to take the code for the lock box and look around myself. I will also be reporting their unprofessionalism to the BBB.

Oh Lordy, if you want a hot shower don’t come here.
I have stayed in several places in Hocking Hills and I can safely say this is not my favorite. The cabin is beautiful and clean. It is well located to several fantastic hiking spots.
However, the cabin grounds were a mess. The cleaning supplies are left in the open. We were asked to complete several cleaning tasks– including putting chlorine in the hot tub, taking out the trash, washing the dishes, and putting the dirty linens in the hamper. That’s cool, I get it– but don’t ask me for gratuity for the cleaning staff. Only 2 towels and one coffee cup in the cabin. Plus there is something that stops the shower from getting any warmer than tepid, though the water will get steamy if you do dishes in the kitchen. The cabin sits under several pine trees that drop copious amounts of pine cones on the roof, which makes a lot of noise (tolerable since its nature) and the heater makes a gigantic booming sound when it kicks on in the middle of the night (not so tolerable). And bring a pillow… the ones in the cabin are very old and flat.
Move on, do not stop. Pick somewhere else.
