Holiday Inn Express & Suites Logansport

This chain is usually dependable to be clean, with good quality and professional staff. Usually my go to hotel. Unfortunately not this place. I had very late check in due to flight delays. The clerk was courteous but misinformed me about charges being placed on my card immediately for the entire stay beforehand. I had intended to place on different card. Next carpet in lobby and hallways smell horrible, being from FL, I can tell you it is mold. Luckily room was free of stench, otherwise I would have left even at midnight.
The breakfast while normally good quality was also disappointing. Coffee was good but all bakery items stale, bananas more brown then yellow and oranges mushy. This management seriously needs to review their standards here, hotel manager sleeping on the job. I think there is Marriott near by for next visit.

So, lodging choices in Logansport have been limited for years so I raised an eyebrow when my sister booked a room here at what I considered to be an aspirational rate given the size of town and its other amenities
Upon reflection, our two-​night stay was well worth the money in many positive ways. The reception and breakfast/​lounge areas were always clean and welcoming and the rooms, while not sumptuous, definitely were at the top-​end of this class of hotel. Everyone on the team was unfailing positive and polite. If you are in Logansport I would highly commend
The only negative-​an odd smell throughout the property – almost like BO – cleaning product perhaps?

2.5 stars. This hotel is fine, nothing particularly special. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room looked clean, except for a sticky spot on the carpet between the two beds (I don’t even want to think about what it could be). The beds were comfortable and there was a small kitchenette area. There was the usual array of tiny shampoos, conditioners, etc. in the bathroom. The free breakfast offered a good variety: cinnamon rolls, eggs, biscuits and gravy, fruit, coffee, etc. There is a little bit of a musty smell in the hallway. I’m unsure if it’s typical hotel smell or a throwback to a time when the hotel had smoking rooms. I would probably try this location again if I was back in the area.
