Automobile Detailing Services. Interior cleaning, shampooing and leather conditioning. Exterior wash, bug, sap & tar removal, clay barring, wax, buff, polish and scratch removal.

Opti Coat 2.0 applications:

Opti-Coat is based on a resin pre-polymer and once it is applied, it crosslinks and reacts with urethane and other clear coat paints to form a permanent film. Opti-Coat has better chemical resistance, scratch &mar resistance, and release properties than any automotive coating in use. Like a regular clear coat, Opti Coat lasts indefinitely unless it is removed by polishing, sanding, or paint removers.

History

Established in 2008.

Officially from 2008, experience since 1993. With 19 years of experience I managed two detail shops in 1996. I’ve always detailed my own cars and family cars over the years. A few years ago I decided to start offering my services and that is how Automobile Day Spa was created.

Was referred to Lui & Auto Day Spa by fellow online members of the Volkswagen community when looking to have my 2013 Volkswagen Golf R tuned. Although I only went stage 1, The United Motorsport product is outstanding, and the performance will speak for itself. Perhaps more important in my mind is the fact a good product can often be diminished without customer service to match. This is where Lui really sets himself apart. It’s apparent that he has a passion for his work and truly cares about keeping his clients satisfied. Since my initial tune I have made a variety of changes to my car and Lui has always been available to answer a question or even make a suggestion. (Switched my intake on his recommendation with awesome results and he was even able to put me in touch with a distributor to get a great price.) I couldn’t be happier. It’s nice to know the relationship doesn’t end when you walk out the door. (Fully satisfied I’m sure.) Although I haven’t had my personal vehicle detailed at the Day Spa yet, I’ve seen the work Lui does and would not hesitate to send more business his way without a second thought.

Lui was able to completely restore the paint on our 2012 VW Touareg Exec. The paint looked as good as the day we bought it. He also transformed the inside back to life. Dash, wood grain trim, carpet… all look great.
I cannot say enough about the fan static job he did and his attention to detail. I highly recommend the Automobile Day Spa if you want to get your car or truck looking like new again.

if you’re looking to get opticoat done in the chicagoland area, look no further than here. Lui really does have a lot of attention to detail (which you would want in your detailer) and spent all day (literally, like 12 hrs) making the paint on my 8 year old audi look as good as it could, then put some opticoat over it. i’ll definitely go back and would recommend Lui to my friends and family for their detailing needs.

I am the type of person who will only read reviews. Well that all changed today after the amazing service I received today.
I read lots of good reviews on a VW forum about Automobile Day Spa, and the ones that were on here made me give him a shot. You can add me to the list of others who also feel that his work is amazing, so don’t think twice when deciding to give this place a try. When it came time to pay, I ended up giving him more money than what he wanted to charge me because I felt it was worth it.
My selfish side of me wanted to keep this place a secret, but I just had to let others know that this is the best detail shop I have ever used.

Me and my wife had just bought a brand new 2012 Golf R and knew right away we wanted to get the car Opti-coated. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find anyone near the Chicagoland area and was about to go up to Minnesota. But luckily through a VW forum member we were introduced to Lui and are sooo happy and grateful to have met him… it was a godsend. Lui was very friendly and prompt. He did an amazing job on the car and we could not be happier with how the opt-coat turned out. Just the next day while we were driving along we noticed that bugs could not cling to the car and just slid off as we crusing about 50 mph. Awesome product, awesome job… def recommend Lui and his car detailing services.

Automobile Day Spa was recommended by a co-worker, and I’m glad I listened. I asked a question via email and received a prompt response. Luis was very nice and rocked out my FR-S. Reasonably priced. I will be returning for some pre-winter maintenance that he mentioned. Highly recommended.

Great customer service and amazing work! Luis treats each car like its his own and really takes his time with each detail. He will even walk you through the process and tell you what you can expect. He recently did one of my cars I picked up a few months ago (the paint really needed some attention). The results were fantastic! I like to give a good wax/polish job the old towel test. To see how smooth the finish is on a vehicle, toss a clean soft towel on the hood. If it slides off, you’ve got yourself a great finish. If it sticks to the hood, well, it looks like you could use another coat. Needless to say, the towel ended up on the ground. Great work Luis!
If you see some of his work on the website, you’ll notice he’s done a variety of cars, including some really high end automobiles. The best part is that he approaches every vehicle with the same amount of care.
I will definitely be taking my business back!

I went fishing in Trego, Wisconsin & came back with plenty of Northern Pike. Unfortunately my cooler holding the fish broke and I had a terrible fishy-type smell in my Ford Expedition. Aarghhh…I called the owner who even though he was playing baseball with his son he offered to assist me in getting rid of the horrible fumes that have taken poccession of my Ford Expedition. Its nice to find a business that actually knows the meaning of *Customer Service*. This place will remain at the top of my list and be recommended to family and friends. *Especially those that have kids*. Thanks Lou!!!
