Enchanted Castle

Not as cool as I remember as a kid… I like to think I have matured (at least a little).
It was still fun though kinda run down.
Great for kids or a just a quick fix for some old fashioned games and a few cool new ones.

First time here for a friends sons birthday party and the staff is great! One of the young men who worked the 11:30 am shift today on Saturday was amazing with the kids and adults, served cake and pizza, just friendly environment.

Came here for my daughter’s birthday today. It was early maybe around 11 because I wanted to beat the crowd. we had pizza fries and honey bbq wings all were very good. Had to wait about 30 mins for the food which was kinda long considering there was nobody there. We had fun. played some games cashed in our tickets for some prizes and got ready to go… My daughter had to go to the bathroom before we left. When we walked in there was blood on the toilet seat… GROSS! I made her wait til we got home…
That was the only nasty thing… the place was pretty clean besides that… use the bathroom at your own risk.

This is one of my favorite indoor amusement parks. The go karts are amazing and fun, the laser tag is new and exciting, and the catapult ride, though it may seem for children, is actually super fun. The only downside is that it’s pretty pricey, entrance wise and token wise, and hard to win tickets, so we normally go just for attractions.

That place was awesome. It’s got everthing 80’s. Arcade and prize games. A ball pit, bumpercars, bowling, teeball, air hockey and a restraunt. Enchanted Castle is pretty radical when you’re a kid. It’s cool for parents too.

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and I’ve always loved coming here. When you walk in it still looks the same and so does the carpet lol. But they have made a new play area for little kids and have had a small bowling alley. They have also have up to date arcade games as well. I would agree with everyone else though that the pizza is alright. There is better lol. What I really don’t like though is that you get 3 tokens to a dollar. I think that’s a big no no. Especially since most games are 3 or 4 tokens. They do have a lot more prizes to chose from now than back then but the better the prize the more tickets you need. But I will always go back when I can just to have fun and save my tickets for an awesome prize.

A fun indoor place with games, playgrounds and other activities. Got s large pizza, pitcher of pop and 80 tokens for $ 35.
This isn’t good pizza but we didn’t come for the food.
They also have a small bowling ally and laser tag.
A bit frustrating when the arcade games would take your tokens and can’t play the game

Has been a long time Since I come here and now OMG !! The owner maybe is trying to get rich soon !!! All games 3 and 4 tokens you change a $ 20 bill 60 tokens and the tickets you get for each game 6 to 10 !!! Really !! For a family with 3 kids you need to spend 60 to 80 dollars and if they wish a toy o well !! Good luck because you need to spend over $ 150 and the tickets price for the toys are crazy over 5000 just the little candy 20 to 120 !! Not good.

Fam and I went to Enchanted Castle with Groupon. For the prize it’s ok. Games are pretty decent, kids seem to enjoy it. Food, on the other hand is a different story. Gross and frozen! Focus on smaller menu but good and healthy. I don’t get the TV on their eating area and the carpet need major cleaning, it smells… who I’m kidding, this whole place need a new face. Seriously, this supposedly family place. Will most likely not return.

Really fun place to bring the kids. There’s a huge variety of things to do with your family. You can go laser tag, go karting, arcade games or bowling. It is more expensive than Chuck e cheese but it definitely offers more options for its customers.

We went to Enchanted Castle with a groupon. It was for 2 rolls of tokens, 2 personal pizzas and drinks, and 2 of the attractions. I’d definitely say this is one of the better arcades we’ve visited in the last couple years. My son really enjoyed himself. There were quite a few games to play. The only downfall was that it was expensive. Most of the games required 3 or 4 tokens. We decided to play laser tag and the go karts. Both were fun.
I docked a star for 2 reasons. One is the price for the games as mentioned before. Two because some of the staff seemed a bit moody. I suppose I understand why since there were several groups of kids from park districts in the area, but that comes with the territory of working at an arcade for kids. I would definitely return again with a Groupon.

This place obviously has seen better days… about 30 years ago!!! Enchanted Castle (EC) is very dated and in dire need of a major face-​lift with faded and soiled carpeting, worn tables/​chairs and ineffective lighting. Even the exterior is faded and in need of new paint and window decals.
The game arcade selection and prices are actually better than Dave & Busters and there’s more room to walk between the machines. Laser-​tag and go karts seem to be the two main attractions at EC and are in seperate areas of the building.
My biggest gripe is actually the planning/​scheduling by EC’s management team. WHY, and I mean WHY, would you allow 5 or 6 summer camp field trips at the same exact time of the day??? The kids were NOT supervised by «chaperones» and «camp leaders» who were more interested in playing the games or flirting with eachother than doing their jobs. I understand it was a weekday in July but what the heck EC management??? It was so bad that the manager on duty was making repeated PA announcements asking chaperones to supervise their kids immediately.

During my visit I saw atleast 30 of your employees throughout the facility including the restaurant area. I did not see ONE even slightly smile and they ALL seemed to much rather be elsewhere than working in your arcade. Your customer’s experience DEPENDS on who you hire and the expectations you establish. Do your job and effectively hire, train, coach and schedule your business.

Me and my friends were at Enchanted Castle, and one of my friends tried to get a prize in one of the games, but it malfunctioned and didn’t give the prize. The game was called Winners’ Cube and I think it’s scam, because the stick that’s supposed to push the prize back stopped! Me and my friends think that the hole that the pole is supposed to go into is too small for the pole.

My son and I were here as guests for a birthday party and let me say the folks here have birthday parties running like a well-​oiled machine.
The birthday room is huge and there were 3 parties going on at the same time. Each party gets their own section (long tables put together) and their own servers. There’s an MC that hosts some fun games for the birthday participant to play (like spinning a wheel for prizes, or getting wrapped up like a mummy). And then there’s the animatronic Enchanted Castle band that plays music and sings Happy Birthday. I would guess that each party chooses their food package; we had pizza and it was ok. Each party has a specific time limit in the room because guess what, after you’re done eating, the tables are cleaned for the next party coming in to celebrate and the fun starts all over again.
After we were done in the birthday room we explored the rest of the castle. I was afraid there wouldn’t be much for a 3 yr old to enjoy but I was wrong. A lot of the ticket prize games have smaller versions that he loved. His favorite was a Batman themed game similar to wac-​a-​mole where you’re hitting all of batman’s enemies as they pop up and the huge touch screen for Fruit Ninja. There were also some mini rides he liked too.
We wandered around a bit and noted the go-​cars, laser tag, arcade games for bigger kids, the large play area/​tree house, bowling and prize station.
The carpet looks kind of worn and the place looks a little dull, but the games look like they are all kept in order. The large touch screen games looked pretty new.
The gent behind the prize counter was very friendly and super patient with the entitled brat who barked orders at him while his mouth was stuffed with candy, while his mom texted away on her phone oblivious to her son’s behavior. But for the most part, the Castle didn’t seem over-​crowded that Sunday afternoon and there wasn’t a lot of crazy kids the day we visited.

The best kids activities are the one that kids love and parents don’t hate. Well… this place went one step beyond that in that I actually enjoyed myself. Think of this as a much, much better Chuck E Cheeses.
PROS
* We love the go-​karts, laser tag, and bumper cars.
* The lines aren’t bad.
* During the week (I think they say non-​school holidays), there is a good deal where you can buy discounted tickets to their premium rides (go-​karts, laser tag, spinny ride, climbing gym, and bumper cars). It was 3 rides for $ 10. Institute days are perfect Enchanted Castle days.
* The New Years Eve kids event is fantastic. It is $ 25 a head and included dinner (food was the predictable kids stuff), $ 5 in game tokens, and unlimited premium rides. The event was well run and we had a blast.
* My little guy (age 4) could participate in almost all activities. He couldn’t drive the go-​kart, but he was happy to be a passenger.
CONS
* A la carte pricing for the preimum rides can get expensive.
* The process of the kids using their tickets to buy a pile of junk is painful.

This was a pleasant way to pass the afternoon. Enchanted castle has plenty of arcade games, a play structure, bumper cars, go carts, laser tag and bowling.
Pricing for activities is a la carte, with a few bundled options. We ended up spending about $ 25 per kid (ages 8,6, & 6) during our 2.5 hours.
My favorite was the Mission Impossible style laser maze. I busted out some of my old moves to show the kids how it was done.

Awesome they definitely updated the games and added a small bowling alley.
There’s a small alcohol selection for adults.
Laser tag and go karts.
Had a great time with my eight year old nephew.

I just had a 9 year old’s Birthday party at Enchanted, and it was awesome! In fact, the consensus of both the parents and the kids was that it was already chosen for many of the kid’s next parties.
Apparently, for those that reside in the city, like us, prior parties of this sort are frequently had at Chucky Cheese. That is a MISTAKE! In no possible way can Enchanted be compared to CC as it is so far and away superior. As one Mom put it, «this place makes Chucky Cheese look like K-​Mart in comparison» (not that there is anything wrong with K-​Mart, but you certainly wouldn’t put it in the same league as if you were shopping Michigan Ave.). Granted, Enchanted is in Lombard, but it only took us about 25 min to get there on a Sunday.
To begin with, Enchanted is CLEAN! Their game room /​rides and attractions area almost looks brand new. Their restaurant portion is also very clean, well organized, and was perfect for the cake /​pizza portion of the party.
Still, let’s be real… the kids wanted games. and attractions, and there was enough of that to keep the kids busy for close to 4 hours — basically until the adults had to shut it down.
We supersized the party (modest addt fee), which took the package we paid for and then allowed the kids to go on any ride /​attraction for as many times as they wanted. Keep in mind, there are some height requirements to be met: for the go karts, you have to be at least a certain height, and for the kids jungle gym, you can’t exceed a certain height. As such, I was the driver in the go karts. Let’s just say, I had a blast! The karts are super fast, and the track challenging enough to make it a lot of fun. Laser tag, the catapult and then bumper cars were also taken full advantage of.
Lastly, service and accommodation by staff and management was impeccable, and appreciated by all of the adults.
So, we all really had a great time, and not only is there talk of additional kids parties at Enchanted, but an adult party bus trip has also been thrown around. Not a bad idea…

We’ve been many times for family outings. It’s our kids’ favorite «reward outing» for good grades, chores, etc. Prices are good, pizza is good, but the people really make it. We’ve never had a bad experience with any of the staff, and in fact, usually find them to be very generous of spirit and incredibly welcoming. The owners really attract good people. Last night we had our son’s 5^th birthday there. The kids had an amazing time and so did the adults. It was nice to have such a big space for the kids to enjoy while we got to visit as well.

I remember going here as a late teen, back when pinball was hot (93′). They had probably 5 – 6 pinballs at the time. Then as pinball died off, the pins went away and it became mostly a redemption arcade. As of this year they’ve bought 19 pins (2 metallicas), and a bunch of other late model Sterns. If any break down, please let the staff know because they WILL repair them ASAP. Keeping them running well will give a better first impression to those who may never played pinball.
