I have always been a fan of Express. But was very surprised at how poorly the customer service was at the Yorktown Mall location. Where to start. I was in the store for over 10 minutes and not once did anyone greet me or ask if I needed any assistance. I was holding two dress shirts and two pairs of slacks and no one came to offer to take them for me and put them in a dressing room while I continued to look around. But the worst, and still I’m completely shocked about this, was how they helped me in the dressing room. I had a nice dress shirt, that was folded, that I wanted to try on. The employee at the dressing room area took the shirt from me and asked me what size I was. I told him I already had the size and shirt I wanted to try on, but he continued to take it from me and give me a random unfolded wrinkled dress shirt that was in my size but not the same shirt, color, or design. It was obvious they didn’t want to have customers try on folded dress shirts to just have to fold them again. I felt this was very unprofessional. I decided to drop the clothes I was interested to purchase on the ground and try my luck at the Express at Oak Brook Mall. By far the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had at a clothing store

I just left this express store and am appalled at the lack of customer service. How difficult is it to greet your customers? How about a smile? Doesn’t it make YOUR day more pleasant by interacting with others since you are in the business of customer service? I had a simple return. There were five employees and all were walking around as if there was no one in line. After a couple minutes of talking amongst each other through their headsets and playing with their clipboards, someone came to help. I will not return to this store for purchases or returns. I agree with another reviewer regarding preference for The Limited store across the way. They are pleasant and friendly with similar retail options.

I love this store. I have good customer service pretty much everytime I shop here and the women always help me finding what it is Im looking for. Where the 3 stars come in is not really the store but a specific merchandise: sunglasses. About 3 weeks ago I purchased the first pair I ever got from them and within the first week one of buying them one of the nose pads came off and I couldnt even find it to try to glue it. I should have just returned them right then and there but just kept wearing them. Well 2 days ago I was in the store shopping and just decided to try it again with another pair. Its now been 2 days and one of the lenses popped out. At $ 30 a pop thats not cheap for cheaply made sunglasses. Ive never had such an issue with buying these before. I will continue to buy from this store as I always have better luck… just beware of the sunglasses.

Does anyone work here??? Two girls who have ear pieces in but just standing around talking. Not helping anyone in the store, had to go find them every time we needed something(fitting rooms, checking out, sizes). Then they give us attitude as if we were crazy for having to keep ask for help… Why are they employed when there are so many other ppl that need a job and work hard?

If I can rate this store ZERO… I will… This store sucks big time… I went to this store today, looking fab… I’m Asian, but I look like a rich Asian girl with good taste in clothes, bag(carrying a damn expensive authentic Louis Vuitton bag) Anyways… No one in this store… I mean, no one, even bothered to say hi… I saw maybe 4 employees, looking at me, but just didn’t give a fuckin hoot… Seriously??? I bought two Editor pants… For $ 110 without blinking… I went to The Limited after… And it’s night and day… The moment I walked in… Employees were saying «hi, please let us know if you need anything» ” do you want me to get your clothes, and hang it in one of the dressing rooms” ” what is your name ma’am“ Unreal compared to Express… I bought two pairs of pants from The Limitd… Went back to Express, and told them they don’t deserve my business… And returned the pants that I bought 10mins beforehand… Moral of the story… Nothing… Express employees sucks… They shouldn’t freakin work in customer service… They should all work in a freqkin Chinese restaurant and wash dishes all day and never come out…

I used to shop here a lot back in the day. Now, I don’t find myself stopping by too often… not a fan of the fashions they are sporting. I recently received a birthday reward in the mail(you get these when you have their store credit card) so now I had an excuse to stop there. The birthday reward was awesome…$ 40 to spend on whatever I wanted(1 item though) with no strings attached. I ended up getting a cardigan sweater completely free! I also found a few pieces of jewelry(current sale was buy one get one 50% off) + I had a coupon for $ 15 off any $ 30 purchase. The 2 pieces of jewelry ended up being cheaper had I just bought 1 piece! Score! My observation is this store can be pretty pricey, but if you sign up for their emails or have a store credit card(they mail coupons often as well) you can score a pretty good deal.
