So I went here tonight for Halloween. My friends and I were super excited to be scared and just have a spooky Halloween. Anyway, we went inside the very sketchy building.(Seriously – SO sketchy.) And we bought our tickets and we’re all set to go in, but one of the workers who was at the gate to scare people heard my friends name. He then yelled my friends name and jumped out toward us. My friend started sobbing(she didn’t want to be there anyway) then, another man jumped out at us and I just bolted out the door because it freaked me out. But after I calmed down; I went back inside because I wanted to enjoy the experience. But when I went in, the workers started targeting me because they saw me run out. The men started to corner me while I was just standing in line. They cornered me against a wall cackling in my face. I was crying, completely out of breath, feeling like I was going to throw up. My friends were begging them to let me leave because I was so scared. I ended up not even going in and wasting $ 13 on a ticket. They scared the crap out of me before I even got inside. Plus they followed me outside when I was trying to leave. I just feel like they crossed a boundary and should have known that when I screamed stop they should have stopped. I wasn’t even in the haunted house yet!!! I understand this is a haunted house. It is supposed to be scary. And if you want to poop your pants out of fear, this is the right place for you. But they seemed to have crossed a line between fun-frightfulness and absolute terror and torment. I would not go back EVER. Worst night.

It was overall a nice production. I’ve seen this a few times over years past. You have to understand this is a haunt run by kids for kids. I always enjoy getting out to Jaycee/Scout haunts as they are a very creative outlet for the children. You will find the money raised helps the groups and/or community as well. This was lengthy to go through and not bad for the money. There was absolutely no wait so we got right in as it may have been a slow night. The kids loved it and I’m not sure which of us laughed harder. They do use a little bit of misdirection and have several creative rooms throughout though nothing that really grabs the memory. Don’t get me wrong it’s NOT billed as a scare factor so if that’s what your seeking you need to visit others.(And my kids are all older 11+) so they don’t scare easy. The set work was decent and the energy of the kids was nice as was their synchronization of timing/pop outs. Great work and they said they were supposed to be doing a Christmas haunt as well. We’ll have to go check that out to. Great value, kid /family friendly, fun/laughs. This was easy to locate, well light and easy access. Food close by in the parking lot. Hit the mall with the kids following.

Great haunted house! I loved that it was nice and long, not like other haunted houses your in and out. Great scary costumes and make up!

This may be a good haunted house for children or young teens but if you’re looking for a good scare, I would recommend going else where. I did have fun(but only because it was funnier than it was scary). I was leading, and one of the actors told me to go one way and funneled me into a dead end where I ended up running face first into the wall really hard(since it’s pitch black). While I understand it was meant to be funny, my nose is bruised and I have had a splitting headache for past week. Honestly, it’s not worth the $ 10 unless you’re looking for a good laugh.

I took 412 year old girls to the Jaycees Haunted House in Yorktown mall over the weekend, Oct 2013. The girls were terrified prior to entering. I was impressed with the haunted house overall. It was quite long. The workers had awesome makeup and were in full character through out the haunting. At times, it was completely dark and you have to feel your way forward. We ending up speaking with Chop, the manager, at the end of our visit who was very friendly. He wanted to make sure we enjoyed our experience. I would recommend this facility. Worth the money.

This was awesome!!! The freaky clown paid us a visit out in the parking lot and was very bizarre. He did a great job. The Joker was absolutely creepy and nearly equivalent to Heath Ledger. The guy with the chain saw(usually they are so typical) was incredibly scary. We freaked! Since some of the characters come out to the parking lot as well, the haunting extends beyond the house. I recommend this over any other haunted house in the area. This is so worth trying. This honestly beats the more expensive haunted houses that are all fluff and decorations, but not truly scary. We are heading back again this year. The characters are what made it. They are so convincingly scary. If you really want to feel scared, with professional actors, come visit this place. If you want to see a bunch of props, fake blood and other«stuff» that is really not all that scary, go visit the larger place further north that is more expensive, but underwhelming.

This is, without a doubt, the best haunted house in the state. The pacing is perfect, the actors are perfect. It’s only 10 bucks and well worth it. I really wanted to give the guy playing the Joker 20 bucks for being so awesome. Definitely worth checking out.
