I went here today for a color and a trim. I had booked through their online service using a 15% off coupon. My color turned out nice even though it took an extremely long time the cut however was not at all what I bargained for. I stated specifically that I only wanted to trim because we are getting married in a few months. She proceeded to take off 3 inches I barely have any hair left. I was visibly upset and the instructors didn’t seem to care or want to be bothered. She asked what I wanted my hair styled and I said that I just wanted to leave but she insisted I’m blowdry these round brush curls which made my hair look old and out of date. When I went to pay they would not honor the coupon that I had so I ended up spending a whopping $ 61 for a student to mess up my hair. Never again.
Update: I did receive a call from the school apologizing in regards the coupon and rectifying that situation. They also spoke with me and offered all the services that they could to help me feel better about the situation. I do appreciate their care in that regard.

Was expecting it to be better, $ 87 dollars and I was not happy with the result. Returned a second time to get it fixed and had to pay another $ 30. Would not return and I would not recommend to anyone. The color used faded so quickly it was supposed to be a dark purple color and within 2 days it was a blonde copper color. $ 150 later and I have never been this upset over getting my hair done. The 2 stylist I saw were very sweet girls and that is the only reason I gave them a tip each time I was there. I guess if you only needed simple things done like a haircut it wouldn’t be bad but I would not suggest getting any color with them.

Had a great experience with a single color process and deep conditioning treatment done by Michelle #47. She was highly talented and did not need much supervision. Was surprised at the end of my coloring to learn that a semi permanent color had been used on the lengths of my hair and a permanent color used on the roots (I have a few grays). I would have appreciated discussing the color options with the stylist and supervision prior to the coloring. I have learned and will ask in the future. Had a very nice blow out and we discussed the best products for my hair. Will definitely return.

Lori #8 is amazing! She is very friendly and is an excellent student! She really takes the time to listen to what the client has to say and recommends products based off that. She took amazing care of my hair and made it look beautiful! I would def recommend her!

The worst possible experience EVER! My daughter asked for ombré hair and came out with bright orange hair that was so incredibly damaged after being there 6 full hours! They actually were going to let her leave like that until I accosted the manager. Who I may add was supervising the whole thing– so she was absolutely useless. And after my daughter paid 90.00. I said they had to fix it and That it was ridiculous that anyone could think this was acceptable. So the next day she went back in to get rid of the glowing hair and it was another 6 HOURS and her hair looked worse! I kid you not but this is cause for legal action. Her beautiful silky hair is now frayed and still orange and breaking off. If you read this please do not go there. Learn from our horrible costly experience please!!! If I could it would rate –10 but I had to rate one star to get this to post!

Horrible service, my recommendation is… Don’t try this school, you’ll regret it and waste time, it took two hours to wash, blow dry and style my hair. They quoted one hour. All I can say is they should have paid me to sit there, the students are not prepared to work with clients. I will never go back.

First I must start by saying the ladies I met with in person weren’t the friendliest. Second they quoted me saying it wouldn’t be longer than 2.5 hours, and it took over 5! Be upfront about how long it will take. And trust me you get what you pay for, if you want to pay less for school work go to tricoci over this place.

It’s been awhile since I last been here. I got my hair cut & colored by Natasha and she did a great job! Definitely recommend others to check this place out.
Has anyone used their perm services yet? I was wanting to add some waves to my hair and wondering if they did a good job.

I loved the girl Erin who did my hair for prom! Her student number was 131. Totally ask for her she is so friendly and easy to talk to. :)

Great work done for the cost. I like how the students are closely monitored. Only negative thing is the amount of time it takes to get a single process color done; approximately three hours, but I learned afterwards I was working with a Phase 1 student and they take much longer. Since working with Phase 2 students, I’m probably there 2.5 hours vs 3. I do highly recommend the school, just make sure you have plan your day accordingly.

I’ve been here twice so far. Once to get side bangs and a deep conditioning treatment, and the other a deep conditioning, haircut, and I decided last minute for her to do beachy waves. Both times I have seen Kayla, a student there. I love her. She’s friendly, funny, listens, and if she needs help, she asks her teacher, which is great. It IS a risk getting your haircut by a student, I’ve gone to Tricocci school as well, but this girl knows her sh*t. My haircut is amazing and she did the waves perfectly, teaching me as she went along. The style is on it’s 2^nd day and I just needed a little spray this morning to being it back to life again. Thanks Kayla! You are awesome and I’ll be seeing you before you graduate!

Why didn’t I read the reviews first? I had a 10:15 appt for a haircut. The training stylist introduced herself & was nice, the instructor came by and discussed the plan. No instructor again for 2 hours to check progress. Yes, haircut. 2 hours. By the time we were done, a different instructor was pulled aside to «evaluate» her work. She did not once lay a hand on my hair to check for lengths so she didn’t notice I walked out with the right side 1.5−2 inches longer than the left side of my hair. She said «gorgeous!» And signed the girl in trainings paper.
I didn’t car so much about the back of my hair, but when she starts the framing around my face, I asked why the instructor doesn’t come by for guidance. Despite the fact that she is in training, she was very defensive.
My hair always looks best right after its cut and someone else blows it out. Not today. Today, it’s in a greasy ponytail. Yes, greasy. Since no one cared to evaluate the girls blow out skills, she kept adding more and more of the silicone serum to tame the frizz. At least I got a good deal on the product.

I made an appointment with Jessica V #21 yesterday. Let me tell you I have never received such a warm welcome when walking into a salon. Walking in the salon doors, I was greeted with a big smile and right away I had my coat hung up as Jessica greeted me. My hair was so dull and lifeless when I arrived and after receiving my deep conditioning treatment and blowout, My hair looks and feels brand new! So healthy and shiny! I thought I needed a haircut but Jessica literally saved my hair! The best head and hand massage I have ever received too. I will be making a lot more appointments with Jessica V because she gave me the five star high class treatment.

I love this school, the cool vibe, great music and mostly, the services! I was in today for a haircut and style with a wonderful future professional, Jill. her number is 134. She was so professional and talented. She listened to me and was able to cut and style my hair just the way I was hoping. The color service bar is awesome, too. They offer any type of color, super trendy and simple root touch-​ups. And don’t even get me started on the fantastic prices! All of the students are supervised by really talented and dedicated learning leaders so you can’t go wrong. I will be returning often, Jill was really awesome and I can’t wait to try out other services… The salon is hidden in the Yorktown mall and many I have recommended it to had no idea it was even there. Maybe a little mall sign at the other entrances would be helpful?

Aneta the stylist went above and beyond with my color service. There was a mistake with my scheduling service making there not enough time to complete my highlights I came in for. They said I needed to reschedule. Aneta made it a point to make sure my hair got done! She did a fabulous job and my hair is perfect, i can’t applaud her more for making sure I got the service I deserved. I will be returning for many more services from her, she earned my loyalty! True professional!

I had the worse hair cut and color in my life… The cut was awful, the color darker than what I wanted (and I gave them the number I wanted) and I ended up with color all over my skin which was almost impossible to wash…
The problem was not the student though… The problem was the supervisor that was way more interested in going home since it was Saturday than monitoring and supporting her student.
The student was not ready, but the supervisor did not care.
Such a disappointment considering the reputation of this firm…
Unless they change the Supervisors, don’t even try to go…

I have to ask a question, have you ever been kicked out of salon? No, no me either. I went there to get my roots touched up and colored, a cut which I’m in dire need of, and a style because I have an event tomorrow and no time to do it myself. My appointment was at 1245, they weren’t done with the coloring until late so around 5 and I guess that’s the time they close. I never let people touch my hair I’m fairly picky, so I was excited. The student was amazing, I can’t remember her name but the instructor came over and tells me because they’ve closed that now my hair can’t get cut. What do you mean? She’s about hair way done with straightening my hair. My hair is curly and I never get it straightened. So becAuse you all are closing I can’t get the services I made the appointment for? You have got to be kidding me! They offer me a free haircut, no I don’t want it. Whatever salon I’ve been too has never told me I can’t get what I came before because your closing. That’s ridiculous and I’ll make sure to tell everyone about this experience and post this everywhere. I’ll never go back! If you make an appointment be sure that their going to actually finish it so you don’t walk out with wrt hair like I did!
