I love my dog. I don’t have kids, he’s our baby. (No, I do not treat him like an actual child.)
Link is a maltipoo, so his hair gets long and shaggy and needs a cut every few months. I had been going to another groomer in Lombard, and I don’t have anything negative to say about her, but after Link’s last grooming, he seemed anxious — literally crawled into my lap on our drive home, instead of looking out the window like normal.
Since he couldn’t tell me why he was keyed up and looking for snuggles, I decided maybe I should try another groomer. Randi at Pawfect Styles had been recommended to me previously, and when I contacted her she was gracious and made it easy for me to make an appointment.
When I first got there, Rob (I think?) took all my info, wrote down our address and contact numbers, etc. and then Randi asked me about haircut preferences. I basically said we wanted a short cut for summer and to make him look cute. She gave me a time to be back, and I went on my way.
When I returned she wasn’t quite done — a different dog had run long — but I could see that Link was clean, close-​cut and almost done. She told me he had been very good and had made best buddies with another dog getting his cut. She also told me she’d seen some wax in one ear, and it might not be anything, but I appreciated the heads up.
A few minutes later I left with an adorable, clean, happy dog who actually didn’t really want to leave his new buddy. The prices are reasonable and the space is bright and clean. I’m always happy to find people who love my pup almost as much as I do.

I want to start by saying that my pooch Leroy has had issues with groomers in the past. She wasn’t socialized as a puppy and generally has some trust issues. She is easily frightened and it’s been a struggle trying to explain to non-​dog people that she’s just scared, not a mean dog. She actually got nicked the last time she got her claws/​fur trimmed, and she’s always visibly shaken upon leaving the groomer’s. I was very vocal about these issues when making my appointment, so Randi scheduled us for the first appointment of the day to make sure things went smoothly.
First of all, I can’t thank her enough for bothering to make me coffee. It wasn’t necessary and it just goes to show that they are genuinely caring, easygoing people.
Since we were the only customers, my puppy had a few minutes to sniff around and get settled. Randi and Rob have a very sweet dog named Hershey who just hangs out quietly. Rob was the one shampooing Leroy. He treated her like a little person, and I could tell he was growing on Leroy immediately. Like I said, she’s had some bad experiences and doesn’t trust people easily – especially men, taller people, etc. It was amazing to see someone stoop down and take such care in making sure she felt safe. Randi was also very careful with my dog, never crossing boundaries and combing her out with patience. They both said she was not nearly as bad as they thought she’d be, and I was honestly a little shocked at how calm she was throughout the appointment. It definitely helped that they let me stay in the building to watch. They have it set up kind of like a regular hair salon, so they don’t just take your dog to a back room where you have no idea what could be going on. You don’t have to stay, but you can if it makes you and your dog feel better.
When Randi went to clip her nails, Leroy didn’t resist one bit. My dog doesn’t even let *me* near her nails with a pair of clippers, so I was really relieved and surprised. She wouldn’t let Randi file them down, but it honestly went much better than I’d expected. In the past, I’ve had to take her to the vet where they put a nylon muzzle on her and have her held down by two nurses. She’s an itty bitty little pup, but she can get vicious about having her nails cut because, as I’ve said, she’s been nicked at the groomer before. I just couldn’t believe she let Randi and Rob get so close like that. They were obviously very practiced in giving positive reinforcement/​attention to help keep anxious dogs calm.
When we were through, Leroy had a cute little bandanna and fashionable pompadour. She was relaxed and happy. I’ve never seen her like that after getting groomed. The price is very reasonable and I’ll definitely be recommending them to everyone I know.

We got my dog her second bath by Randi this weekend. The new location is awesome. Super clean, very cool inside considering the hot temperature outside.
Prior to coming to Randi we had our rottweiler/​lab mixed bathed at two other local shops and they were okay, but no one got her as soft as Randi did. Her nails were trimmed perfectly, long hairs trimmed, ears cleaned and she’s so soft. I never though I could my dog this soft because her hair is fairly short and coarse.
If you haven’t been here yet, this is the place to go. Price is reasonable and very friendly. And both times my dog comes home with a nifty bandana too! I will never get my dog groomed anywhere but here. Another big plus is that my dog roams free and can play with other pets if they all get along (I don’t like my dog being caged)

I want to let you know how pleased we are with our Goldendoodle’s grooming. She looks the best ever! Randi, you absolutely have great skill in grooming. I love knowing that products used on Fern were naturally-​based and customized by you. She smells fresh and feels soft and not perfumy. I am glad we found you and we will be back!

First time at a groomer for my Brittany Spaniel. Randi was great! Greeted my dog first so she was comfortable. Asked lots of questions and made sure I knew what to expect when I returned. She is the only groomer I know of who let’s you set up appointments via text message.
