History

Established in 2009.

Hughes Walks is the culmination of a love of animals, a longing to be outdoors, and a commitment to help families take the best care of their pets. Hughes Walks is able to provide a service that is tailored to each individual family’s needs.

Growing up with lots of animals at home, and having generations of farmers on my fathers side, caretaking for animals comes somewhat naturally. I worked at a pet hospital in 2007, where I loved working hands on with all of the animals. I started fostering dogs for Whiskers & Tails Foundation in 2008. In 2009, I started working for another pet sitting company as a sub-​contractor. Then in 2013, Hughes Walks was officially created, as well as Paws Angeles Animal Rescue. I also started volunteering at the International Bird Rescue in San Pedro, California in August of 2013. My goal is provide reliable, personalized care taking services to the animals of the South Bay & their families. I also hope to lower the euthanasia rate in local shelters by spreading awareness of adoption, pet overpopulation & by finding homes for dogs & cats that would otherwise have been euthanized. Spay & Neuter!
