History

Established in 2010.

Professional chiropractic doctor Michael Hinkens founded the business offering the local communities a professional cleaning service at a competitive price. In 2011 Hometown Carpet Care added 24 hr emergency water damage to its list of services provided. In January 2014 local certified professional cleaning technician Matthew Ronholt purchased the business from Dr. Michael Hinkens and added tile and grout, draperies, and air ducts to its services provided while adding all the state of the art equipment available in the industry today.

These guys cleaned my carpet and tile to a tee. Now I have roomba 880 doing a daily schedule. The price was better the I expected, on everything, but the roomba. But the two together are worth every penny.

I usually let at least 30 minutes pass between receiving service and running to Unilocal — but in this case, I have zero reason to delay. Matt just left our home, and I cannot say enough about the job completed. In only 90 minutes, they pretreated and cleaned my hall, den carpeting, and stairs (rescuing us from pet stains!) AND the tile/​grout in my kitchen area is once again the color I chose when we added it to our home. His friendly, professional attitude made him a pleasure to deal with, and his assistant (I want to say Brian, and feel awful that I don’t remember!!) was equally as great to work with. All in all, here is what I would say. Fast, friendly efficient service (including booties!), great prices — why waste time looking for coupons and deals when you can just call Matt. Looking forward to our next service — which will be as a regular, 6 month client. Thanks again!!!

Hometown Carpet blows away the compatition, 100% bar none ***** 5 star !!! My carpets look great, the service excellent ! !! would recommend them and use them in the future!!! Man if only the two motorcycle shops, ihop, macys, comcast, and VOLT took care of business like hometown carpet!!! If u don’t know what I mean, just read my reviews on them lousy establishments ! !!!

Matt is the best! So glad I went with a local business. He does a great job and is customer service oriented.
I use a home steam cleaner about every 3 months because of our 2 older dogs. They don’t do their «business» on the carpet – they just make it smell bad from laying on it. I didn’t think the carpet was all that dirty – just smelly. Wrong. What a difference. It is still drying – but it looks amazing. I will update on how well it removed the smell when it’s dry and I can check it out – but it really looks clean.

I had another carpet company recommended to me by my contractor, but Hometown was closer, had excellent Unilocal reviews, and could get it done right away. I am SO glad I went with them!!! The appraisal was so affordable, I was shocked, and it was for the whole house! They showed up on time and he even had an assistant to help move some furniture. They were done with the entire house so fast and they got out stains I thought no one could get out, it was amazing! They put plastic and foam protectors under all the furniture they moved back and really went the extra mile. The price was exactly what he quoted and the customer service was excellent! Highly recommended! A++++

Matt from Hometown Carpet Care is great! He arrived on time, and happy! We live in Vandenberg Village, and he gave me a great deal on our 2 story house!
He cleaned 3 small bedrooms, the stairs, and the living room. It took him about an hour. He even got stains out of my daughter’s bedroom that I thought would never come out!
I will definitely use him again, and I would recommend him to anyone!

Matt was simply awesome! We are an Air Force family and move in and out of rentals constantly (it seems). It’s never fun living in the previous tenants old funk!
I looked on Unilocal for local carpet cleaners and Hometown carpet popped up with great reviews so I decided to give them a try.
I’m so impressed with how personable and professional Matt was and how he made me feel like a priority! Our rental carpets look brand new!!! Will definitely be using Matt for the remainder of our base assignment here.

We noticed this service advertised on the side of a truck while running errands so we called to see if they could schedule an estimate. They came the same day.
We thought the price for cleaning a 3 bedroom house with cream color Berber carpet was fair at $ 150 so scheduled it. We had a few pet stains that needed extra attention, and a large wool area rug, and it was all cleaned professionally. We were impressed with the operator, Matt, and feel he did a great job. 24 hours later it’s dry, and we do see minor traces of a stain here and there, but overall the end result is a 100% improvement. We do recommend the company, and will tell friends!
