They get two stars because it is clean… so I guess the stars go to the janitors. The checkers are slow and they dont care Never ever take your prescriptions to Vons. You will be sorry. They are soooo slow, no sense of urgency. you are merely an interruption to their day. Unfriendly. If they tell you your prescriotion will be ready in two hours. they are wrong… they will get it ready while you wait when you try to pick it up

When putting together a first class meal, just can’t beat Vons! I love the quality of goods in this store from the fruits & vegetables to the fine selection of spirits and gourmet foods! Although the prices are generally higher here, if it’s quality your after, it’s hard to beat!

My wife shops here, but I don’t anymore. The store is bright and clean, the staff are all helpful and friendly, and the store has a great selection of food and other products… at the highest prices in town. The Vons gas station charges an extra 10 cents per gallon for credit… so I don’t do that anymore. And their pharmacy has stopped their«blue card» rebate program, so I’m switching to a new druggist, too. I HATE their stupid theft-proof shopping carts(what a pain in the butt they are). And something else that really bugs me: why do they charge so much for a decent loaf of bread? Everyone else in Lompoc sells bread and bakery products much more cheaply than Vons.

When customer service answers the phone you cannot understand the people. Put someone on the phone who speaks well.

Their tri tip made me sick. I will never go back to that cess pool of a grocery store. It sucks how they have the monopoly in town now.

Nice big, clean store. Just stopped by to get a couple snacks while I’m in town. I found everything I needed easily and quickly and the cashier was helpful and friendly!

Great deli and great products the cashiers and other staff are always very friendly and helpful. The cashiers are fast and courteous. We usually do most of our shopping here and parking is always easy to find.

Best products and quality in Lompoc. Basically the best grocery store in Lompoc. The pharmacy is the fastest and the bakery is well rounded. The staff is excellent and helpful. Great one stop and shop.

The people outside right by the entrances who are always asking if you want to buy whatever they’re selling etc. is extremely annoying! I just want to enter the store without being stopped something should be done about that. Also the people from the pharmacy don’t seem very friendly some of them look pissed off every time I pickup a prescription.

The store and products are okay. However, i noticed that the cashiers(especially supervisors) are not very friendly. In particular, the older female caucasian cashiers tend to not be very friendly to customers. Perhaps its biased, but I never notice that issues with any other grocery stores in town.

For a Holiday the cashier was great this morning. They were surprisingly well stocked and customers were overall courteous unlike another store we popped into today. The produce looked awesome especially after having to buy stuff in middle georgia. I’m In produce heaven being back in CA! Even the less than great stuff here is better than what we had in Georgia — feeling thankful(it’s Thanksgiving after all) It’s also nice to see more healthier options available. The other thing is my Safeway card transferred here! BONUS! So Von’s may become one of my fav shopping places but there’s sooo many choices now. I’m in grocery store overload!

When it comes to shopping at Vons, I’m a lifer. They give me discounts on gas up to $ 1 off per gallon without charging me for some stupid club card. I feel good about going here because they actually pay their employees a living wage — unlike Walmart which gouges their employees to pass the fake savings on to you. Don’t complain about the prices, learn how to be a smart shopper. Stock up when things are on sale, use their online Just For You program to search for sales. We don’t buy everything there, but we do buy quite a bit. The store is always clean and the employees at the checkout are pretty friendly now that they have seen us over the past two years. It’s actually a bigger Vons than the little neighborhood store I used to shop at. I enjoy their deli section where I can get a quick hot soup and some specialty items I can only get at Vons. I know this is weird, but I really love cracked pepper water crackers and they are the only place that carries them. They even have a few things which I thought I could only get a Trader Joe’s like chocolate mochi ice cream. I haven’t bought it yet because I’m trying to lose weight, but I’m happy it’s there. The staples are reasonably priced. I’m not gonna lie, there are some deli meats which are better at either Albertson’s or at Central Coast Specialty Foods, but Vons is the closest to me, and is very close to CCSF if I’m jonesing for something more select. I’ve always had a good experience with the bakery. The bread they make is fresh and they offered to make crostinis from french bread for me when they didn’t have any. They also have a pharmacy which has its problems, but is extremely convenient. Not all of the employees smile.

This is seriously the slowest Von’s I have ever been to. The cashiers move at about the same pace as a snail. There is zero sense of urgency and they move SOSLOW. It’s unreal. You can tell they just don’t care. I like Von’s products, but I’m tempted to shop elsewhere because of how terrible their customer service is.

Long time Von’s shopper. Disappointed that they stop carrying items I’ve been buying for years so they can make room for their own brands. Seems like when I get used to getting it there they discontinue it. The people there are great though so I’m not sure if they have the ability to change what they stock or not. It has forced me to shop around. Now everyone is getting a piece of my pie it used to be Von’s all the way

The closest grocery store by my house. Not the cheapest but comparable to Albertsons. To get a good deal you gotta look at their weekly flyers otherwise you’ll end paying more. Be a member for extra savings, for free. The gas prices here are comparable or higher to other gas stations, unless you spent $ 100.00 to get a 10 cents for every gallon. Clean, friendly staff, too.
