History

Established in 1941.

BMR Insurance Agency was started as a family owned business all the way back in 1941, and has continued to be passed down through the generations. We have always maintained a manageable size client base to ensure that each of our clients is treated the way we would like to be treated. That’s why many of our clients have been with us for over 30 years. When it comes to having an agent who is genuinely concerned with his client’s best interest, nobody beats BMR Insurance!

David has been working in the property and casualty field of insurance since 2005. David has always approached his role as a position of customer service, rather than sales. Specializing in managing the risks of individual households, all the way up to multi-​million dollar companies, David loves to educate his existing and future clients about the products best suited for their particular needs.

When David isn’t in the office, you’ll likely find him building high-​end furniture in his garage, camping, or hiking the Rockies with his wife, son and their dog.

I have been working with David Harriman at BMR for my Workers Comp and General Liability insurance for over five years. I have owned my construction business for 24 years, my prior insurance broker never made me feel like my business was important to them. I feel like David goes over and beyond with amazing service. I always get responses and answers within an hour of sending an email or making a call, many times within minutes. When my renewals are due, David always finds me the best deal with the best coverage for my needs. I have been working with Dave for a few years now, and it just seems to get better and better. I recently purchased a new car, and when I called up to ask what the insurance rates would be, he told me that I would probably be paying more than on my old car (I hadnt purchased the car yet, I was just trying to use this as another reason to dissuade my wife from getting this car).
Although I knew that Dave had always been competitive, I called up agents from 8 other insurance companies and carriers. Every single one of them came in higher that what I had been paying for last car, but where Dave said he thought it would probably be around $ 150 more per year, they were quoting me about $ 700 per year. After my wife yelled at me enough, I ended up getting that new car, knowing that I would go back with David and BMR.
The biggest shock I had, aside from the always stellar service I get whenever I call (and I called a lot while looking for the new car), was that my insurance rates actually went down. I know Dave knows his stuff, but even he was surprised that the rates went down. While he couldn’t tell me why (sure the computer doesnt answer all my questions!), he was also surprised, but very happy with the results.
I know I can always call Dave to ask any questions that are insurance related, whether for my home or auto, and I have even called him to ask questions about my business and life insurance, and every time he steers me in the right direction. When he told me that I should use someone else for my business insurance because it was a better fit for my company, I knew he was the right agent to stick with.
