Knockouts Haircuts For Men

Let me start off by saying that if I am writing a bad review of a barber shop, they must have done a piss poor job. I am not picky when it comes to getting a haircut, all I am looking for is convenience. I want to be able to get my haircut during my lunch break at work with the least amount of hassle.
My review will discuss two separate visits with the same stylist and the horrible customer service I received.
The first visit was in January where I went to get a haircut on my lunch break and arrived around 1. When I got there I was asked to make an appointment for 2 since they were so busy. I obliged, went back to work for a bit then came back at two. When I arrived at my scheduled appointment, the stylist had just started a haircut with someone who was clearly her friend and I was forced to wait 25 minutes despite having an appointment at 2. I personally only have a set amount of time for my lunch hour and this was clearly going to cut into that time and forced me to take way more time from my office than I had originally planned.
Due to this experience I decided to get my next few haircuts elsewhere because as I mentioned earlier, I am looking for convenience and my previously described experience was very inconvenient.
Come this June I needed to get another haircut and decided I would go back and was hoping for a different stylist to be there. I wasn’t that lucky and was greeted again by the same stylist who was able to get me in for a walk in. Apparently she was able to see that I hadn’t been in for 5 months and immediately put me in the awkward situation of asking where I had been getting my hair cut. I was honest despite that being none of her business and said I’d gone to one of their competitors. Immediately her tone changed and it was clear she was in a rush to get me out the door and it was clear she was upset that I had chosen another location for a haircut and wasn’t at all concerned with the haircut she was giving me at the time. I finished getting my haircut and returned to work and almost immediately was asked where I got my atrocious haircut. It was quite clear that the stylist had done a horrible job due to being upset that I had chosen to go elsewhere in the past.
I would not recommend this location to anyone as it has proven to be very inconvenient and the customer service is awful.

Erin was lovely today. Warm face towel, hot neck-​towel, great head-​massage while getting my hair washed. An excellent cut. Friendly conversation. And everybody is so dang cute and warm. Much appreciated after a busy day of meetings and phone calls. Thank you!

Two ‘must-​dos’; (1) Call ahead and (2) ask for Erin. Been going there for about a year now, and always leave with a good cut. It is also nice seeing the same stylist, cause you don’t have to ‘explain’ every time what want.
Parking lot is tight, but since they offer a drink and always have ESPN playing, even if you have to wait for a few minutes — it’s not a huge deal.

Why can’t I give zero stars?
From the initial rude greeting, I should have walked right out.
OK, I’m an old guy that needs a haircut.
Is that a reason to treat me like a ghost?
Eye contact with your customer and a smile are common courtesy in any people business.
I was told they were running late.
I asked «how late», and was told 15 minutes.
Another customer was then seated, trimmed, and sent on his way. After cleaning up, the stylist disappeared into the back without a word.
I’m now 25 minutes out from my appointment time and thinking, «time is money», and they just wasted more than a haircut worth of mine.
The vibe in the place is supposed to appeal to the manly man, from the craftsman table to the black and chrome motif.
Creepy is all it screams to me.
I’m not letting someone near me with sharp implements in a place that is decorated like a bright lit dungeon.
Save your time and money, get a haircut somewhere nice.

This place is precisely the reason I avoid corporate barbershops. In the interest of protecting the stylist’s identity I will call her…“Jane Doe’nt Come Here”. I was greeted by the stylist when walking into the empty shop and taken back to the seat. Jane asked what i was looking for when I told her that I wanted ½″ cut because I was growing my hair out and needed it touched up…“snip!!!” The scissors clipped a lock of hair off the front of my bangs when Jane says, «OK, so we’ll just start with an inch and go from there.» Hmmmm, remember that whole conversation we just had, Jane? Clearly she didn’t. I crossed my legs with a bit of intention when all of the sudden Jane orders, «Uncross your legs!» Well ok then, Jane must have substituted customer service training for a «Liberal Scissoring» course. After reverting back to the haircut I asked for, Jane decided to «take in» my sideburns which admittedly were longer than usual. However, had I know taking them in meant a bowl cut reminiscent of 1993 then I would have opted out. Don’t get me wrong, you’ll find Pearl Jam on my iPod, but I don’t want to relive those days via my hairstyle in 2015 (I’m a hipster, but not THAT bold). Grrrr — needless to say I am disappointed with paying $ 20 for maybe the worst haircut experience I have had since my sister dyed my hair platinum blond in 1998. Stay far away Coloradans!

This has become my favorite place to get a hair cut. They do a great job every time because they are experienced pros and they keep good notes on each customer so they remember what you like and what was done last time. Cool right?

Knock-​outs is better than the super cheap-​o places. It is on par with Rooster’s. I had a good experience getting a hair cut there. They do the hair wash and hot towel which is nice. The atmosphere is fun for guys to hang-​out at. Overall, pretty good place

Nice «male-​themed» salon. Erica was nice for my haircut and priced right. 1^st check in gets a 20% discount off services! Free beverage is offered at check in and yes, the staff is in shorts and boxing themed wear. Kind of like a Hooter’s meets a salon lol! Over very pleased and will come back if I’m out here longer for work.

I’ll start with the good, so that I can finish this off on a sour note.

I spotted this place while I was out running some errands. I was like, oh hey there’s a fantastic sams (basically, right?) I’ll drop in for a trim. Normally I go to the same girl I’ve been going to for years but I was just really needing a haircut and whoop, there it is.
I went in and it is really a funny place: really cheesy boxing theme with the hair stylists names written on the mirrors with lipstick or something.
The place was empty and out from the back came this girl who looked just like the girls in the picture here on Unilocal.
They have dumb names for their haircuts, like the «bruiser» or the «KO» etc. I just asked for a trim.
The girl was nice, but wow… the most chiche’ barbershop small talk I have ever experienced. To prepare you for your experience, here are some of the questions you’ll be asked when you are having your hair cut (I hate small talk enough as it is):
1. How is your day, what are you doing today? My answer: good. Running errands.
2. What did you do for Christmas? Um, I forgot. When was Christmas? 4 weeks ago?
3. What did you get your wife for Christmas? None of your business, lady!
4. What did you do for NYE? OK this is getting creepy. I got wasted, what do you think I did?
5. So, are you working today, orrrr??? No, I’m getting a haircut.
The best part of our «conversation» is how I’d answer her questions and I’d look at her and she would not respond at all. There was an awkward pause in between each of my answers to her questions.
Finally we got to talking about the weather! Big surprise, right? Brrrrr, yes it’s so cold outside! She told me she is ready for summer. Amazing.
…So prepare yourself for the most boring conversation of your life.
So I got my hair washed with this cut and she used ice cold water on my head. That was fun. And again when she rinsed me off at the end.
And she styled my hair about as opposite as I had it coming in. Parted on the opposite side which I am not used to and I walked out into the cold and tried to fix it and my hair was full on wet like I just got rained on! Did she forget to dry my dome?
Anyway, again, the haircut was good. But because I hate small talk and they gave me the worst small talk experience of my life, I am dinging them two stars.
I also feel kind of dumb that I went to a place for a haircut called «Knockouts». Don’t tell my friends.

So here’s the deal, I either go to Floyd’s by my house or Knockouts by my work, depending if I’m working out at lunch or taking the day off. So, I compare the two and for the most part they offer very similar services although the women in Knockouts are wearing much more attractive clothes than those at Floyd’s. But, the last time I was in at Knockouts, I noticed something that gives them the edge to Floyd’s. They offer eyebrow, chest and back waxing! Now, those are not really in my repertoire, but hey…
I guess what I’m trying to say here is, I’ve been here a boatload of times, always gotten great service from Erin, enjoyed watching my ESPN and shooting the pooh with her, but now I can relive my recurring nightmare of being the 40 year old virgin and getting my chest and stomach waxed into a smiley face!

I am very picky about my hair… Because there are few things worse than a horrible haircut. Erin at this location has been amazing! I have now seen her on several occasions and each time I receive the same quality professional service. I would highly recommend Erin to all of my friends and coworkers.

If you don’t have an appointment, good luck getting your haircut. I stopped in at 4:30 pm on a Wednesday and was turned away. Keep in mind they close at 8PM! This is the second time this has happened. I’m done with this place. If I wanted to worry about an appointment to get my haircut I’d book it with a real salon.

Located next to Smash Burger and Panda Express so convenient for quick lunch while waiting.
Free soda and beer! Great cut from super friendly Christina. 20% off $ 25 Unilocal check in, can’t beat that.

First time here and these ladies are right on time. No waiting, free drinks, lots of extras for $ 25 and most importantly, a really good haircut (from Jenny.)

I just got a great haircut from Jenny. Oh, and great small talk. I forgot, a nice scalp massage and a hot towel around my mug.
It’s not my first haircut here, and it won’t be my last.

Went in based on reviews. Very nice girl, very bad haircut. I left having to have my wife try to fix the cut. sideburns completely removed, long hairs in spots, uneven, just bad cut overall. the lighting in this place is not conducive to actually see you have gotten a bad cut until you leave. I would have gotten better hair cut at great clips for half the price.
I know every barber is different but I wont be returning to find out if others are any better.

The double entrendre aside, this place did knock me out. First it proves the 16^th law of physics: A hot chick with her hiney hanging out of her shorts can give a great haircut. Secondly… wait, there is no second, isn’t that enough?
I was a walk-​in desperate to find a decent hair cut and missing Zero Zero in Seattle. I found Dana, an ebullient, talented stylist who cut and shampooed my hair, made scintillating conversation and all this while I had a complimentary beer in my hand.
My wife loved my cut. And I myself spent a narcissistic moment making blue steel faces in a plate glass window.

After my regular barber left the Floyd’s I used to go to I went looking for a new place to get my hair cut. I searched around and found either ordinary haircuts that were overpriced or places like «A Little of the Top» where the haircut was not the first priority.
I found Knockouts by chance through a google search and was pleasantly surprised by what I found. I’m not gay or much of a metro but I love the idea of a place where guys can go to get a haircut, be men but also get pampered a little.
Long story short, this place is great. Forget the cheesy «Hooters» styling of the uniform. I got a great haircut, worthy of a much more expensive place. I also got a mini facial since it was only $ 15 I thought I’d give it a try. It turned out to be 20 minutes of heaven. I was exfoliated and given several hot towels to open up my pores. At one point I was also given a hand massage. Who knew hands needed massaging?! My skin has felt great for over a week since and I plan on going back again just for a mini facial.
I highly recommend this place!

Received a call from the business the other day saying they’d seen my 3 star review and that they wanted to see if I’d be willing to come back in a give them another shot. I was more than willing, given how nice they were, so went back in the next day.
I’d just gotten my hair cut so was in no need of that, so got a manicure instead. Both the stylist and the massage therapist who did my hands were extremely nice and talkative. The time flew by and it seemed like I was in there no more than 10 minutes altho in actuality it was more like 45.
The manicure itself was pretty nice. The standard cuticle and nail cut, with a nice addition of a paraffin treatment, where my hands were coated in hot wax for about 10 minutes (not as kinky as it sounds). It’s been a few days and my hands still feel nice and soft.
I was handed off to a massage therapist after my mani and my hands never felt better or more relaxed.
I’d definitely come back.
