Lone Tree Dentists and Orthodontics

Man, I never thought to look at Unilocal before going to a dentist but will now! Would have saved me a lot of pain and frustration had I read the reviews first. Front desk is usually fine, although there are a couple of girls who are completely clueless. Biggest issues were the non– personable/​borderline rude dentist (Burson), poor explanation to what the procedures actually entails and a complete lie about ordering my crown. I was told the crown would take a couple of days, followed up a week later, no crown and no explanation on why the delay but said it would be here in 5 days and made the appointment to put it in. I come in for the appointment and learned it was never even ordered! Ugh stay away from this place!

I come from a family of dentists and have a respect for this profession, so it is hard for me to write a bad review — however, I had several bad experiences with Lone Tree Dentists and Orthodontics over the course of a year. I returned for a second visit because of the convenient location and hoped that my first bad experience was just a fluke.
Overall, on both visits, the attentiveness of the dentist was minimal and hurried. I felt much like a cog in a machine. I was given bite wing x-​rays and double charged the first time. The second visit, I was once again given x-​rays, but this time I requested not to have it done. They informed me that it was a procedure which my insurance company required.
After receiving the bill, I submitted it to the insurance company and was denied the coverage — stating that the x-​rays had been performed multiple times in the same year. Lone Tree Dentists made a confusing mess of the incident and never dropped the charges on either the first or second visits. They handled the confusion with an incredible lack of professionalism.
On a final note — please read the other reviews and don’t just take my word. A majority of the others had a similar experience in being scammed or at the very least, had additional and unnecessary procedures performed. I think you’ll see a common issue. Its a shame that a medical professional would behave in this manner.

I booked my appointment first and then checked the reviews and almost fainted. I discussed my concerns with Ben the office manager and he asked me to give them a try. I decided to go ahead with my appointment.
My appointment went as well as any dental appointment can go in my world. I thought I needed a root canal and Dr. Burson thought I could have a sinus infection. Although I’m still waiting for the final endodontist ruling I’m glad that my face isn’t going to fall off.
They offered me several payment options, the office was clean and modern looking.
**Update** Decided to go back to my old dentist that is further away after a bad interaction with the front desk staff and a girl named Laura. Turns out I had a third canal that needed to be treated and Laura said they would only send over a referral for exam not treatment. I would need to go to the Endodontist they referred me to for a $ 245 scan and after that have the scan evaluated for treatment. Mind you Dr Burson was traveling outside the country. After a lot of pain and even an email to Dr. Burson (which was never responded to) I decided its really not worth the headache or toothache to deal with a rude woman.

Had a great experience with Dr. Curtis and Sean. They were welcoming, caring, and wonderful to work with.

Avoid this place… my husband and I both tried them out. You will go in for a regular cleaning that insurance should cover and come out paying several hundred dollars for extras. They have you sign an electronic consent form and don’t mention that there is an extra cost for the things that they are doing. We won’t be back. You get a cleaning from an assistant and the real dentist doesn’t even see you… but I am sure our insurance is paying for that. My husband and I both have good teeth (no cavities)… why can’t we just get a regular cleaning that our insurance covers???

I did not have a good experience here. Granted it was only one dentist (KB)…but his bedside manners have substantial room for improvement! He made me feel like the sky was going to fall — but it turned out (after I got a better dentist) — that I was going to be quite alright.
I live very close — so am pretty disappointed that my experience was not better (over the course of multiple visits).

Dentist told be that I had a cavity that could only be repaired with a Cerec Onlay, 4 surface, which was going to cost me $ 900. My tooth didn’t even hurt. I went for a second opinion six months later. I didn’t tell my new dentist anything regarding my previous diagnosis. The new dentist identified the same cavity plus another one on the other side. When I asked her how they should be repaired, she said they were small, and would just require a regular composite filling. Both cavities will cost me $ 300 to fix. I’m so glad I got a second opinion before Lone Tree removed most of my tooth for an expensive Onlay. My Google research told be that Cerec Onlays are done for teeth too damaged for regular fillings. In my opinion, this was not the case. I also heard that many dentist need to recover the cost of the expensive Cerec machine. Lone Tree, in my opinion, also over charged my wife and daughter for their fillings. Surprise… Surprise, they needed Cerec Onlays also. We had to go through the insurance to force them to pay a refund as they charged more then their contractual rate. I had no complaints with the hygienist or other staff. But billing and the dentist treatment plans and practices will keep me away forever.

I first went to this dentist to get my wisdom teeth removed. I first saw Kenneth Brurson who was very rude. Then I went on to see hygienist Emanuela Del Core who was also very rude. They made me feel absolutely horrible about myself. Kenneth told me I should quit smoking because it is «disgusting», (i know smoking isn’t all that flattering, but if you smoke you know how hard it can be to quit, especially when your under a lot of stress, it’s also just a personal lifestyle to which they shouldn’t judge me, and tell me it’s disgusting). He also just had a very rude domineer the whole appointment. Emanuela asked about what’s going on in my life-​career, which is polite and I expect that common courtesy, yet when I told her I didn’t have a job, and was looking for one, she went to say «wow, it’s funny how I see all these ‘now hiring’ signs. I guess they’re all lying», then went on to basically call me spoiled, which I’m far from. I’ve worked for everything i have, just because I might have an expensive jacket, doesn’t mean that someone had purchased it for me. I have physical/​mental health problems which make it difficult to work as well. Whenever I see Kenneth around the office, he is always giving me these dirty looks, when I try and smile and be polite. Not to mention numerous other things they said that were rude and disrespectful. I was also having a problem with plaque, nothing I was doing was working. I was brushing up to 4 – 5 times a day. Emanuela would just tell me I wasn’t brushing/​flossing/​rinsing enough, which I was. It wasn’t till I talked to my physical health physician about it and she prescribed a mouth wash that finally helped. The front office is always filthy. I’m somewhat OCD and it gives me tons of anxiety to look at all this trash, and dirt on the floor at a place that should be clean and sanitary. The only reason why this is getting 2 stars, is because the front staff and dental assistants are always very friendly, as well as Tristan collins and James berwick. They seem to actually know what they’re doing and at least act as though they’re enjoying their day at work. I don’t want to necessarily say I wouldn’t recommend this place, but I certainly wouldn’t recommend seeing Emanuela or Kenneth, or expect complete disrespect and rudeness.

Front office is so disorganized! Our appointments were always a mess, there was a time I had an appt for a cleaning, only to show up on time, wait 20 minutes, then get brought to the back to let me know that they wouldn’t be cleaning my teeth today! Thanks! could’ve saved me an hour and told me that over the phone! They tried to diagnose me with periodontal disease and told me it was like having «cancer» seriously! I am in my early thirties and have no health issues whatsoever. I got a second opinion and that dentinst, said he «had nothing to tell me»…nothing! nothing wrong! I am so glad I went somewhere else rather than assuming they were professionals and forking over a crap load of money to fake laser clean my teeth!
It is really sad that this kind of stuff is becoming an industry standard. This place was more like a high pressure used car sales office, than a dentist. The lady in charge of financing has a holier than thou attitude (don’t ask me why) and will try to pressure you on the spot for a host of unneccesary treatments. They practically hold you hostage until you make an appointment. Even had the nerve to tell me that my husband (who had been in the night before) «his cologne was like perfect»
The dentist that saw me this day actually referred to other dentists as «a**holes» actually used that word to me in his office… really? maybe he should clean his own mouth! This place is a pit! BEWARE! If you need a good reference… Dr Walt Vogel in Castle Rock was great, no b.s. just a good dentist.

wouldn’t recommend. initial fees are cheap but they try to upsell you on everything… seriously I must have been asked if I wanted to finance some dental work 5 times in one visit. the hygienists and office assistants must be on commission. seriously find a new dental office who cares about your teeth more than your money.

Let me just start by saying that if they had not repeated their mistake with my wife and cost her lost time at work, I would be giving a far better rating.
We initiated our relationship with the Lone Tree dental group because of their kids specific policies. Our daughter has had wonderful experiences here and enjoys going to them. My wife and I, however, have had completely disappointing experiences.
On my first appointment here, my wife, daughter and I all went in together. We had scheduled the times specifically together, so that my daughter and I could have our teeth cleaned while my wife stayed with our daughter. When we arrived we were informed that they did not have a hygienist for my cleaning. They took my daughter back and got her cleaning started while I got x-​rays. When I was seated, a young dentist took a seat to me. She was AWESOME. In fact, she is keeping this rating from being one star. Unfortunately for me, she was not the one that was supposed to do my cleaning so I had to wait until she was finished with my daughter. After we discussed my x-​rays, we had been there for nearly an hour and they were closing soon. My family was hungry and since they had messed up my cleaning, we left for dinner. This is the problem — their front office SUCKS.
My wife had a very similar experience, when she had hers scheduled late in the afternoon on another day. They called her and asked her to come in earlier because they had an opening around lunch time. When she arrived they did show the appointment, they just did not have a hygienist for her cleaning. She did her x-​rays, etc, but by the time someone was free she needed to head back to work.
They have lost our business, and we will probably move our daughter too. To bad too, because the young female dentist was extremely professional, intelligent and had great communication skills.

These people were fantastic! As soon as we walked through the door the kind receptionist greeted us with a smile and immediate help!
Valerie was so kind while taking my X-​rays and was so fun to talk to! Dr. White was patient and very professional, she earned my trust in a split second. Colleen was so fun to talk to and she made my cleaning a thousand times better!
They sat down with my family and discussed all our financial options. All the employees were patient, extremely kind, and very enjoyable to be around.
I love these people! They will make you feel so special and cared for!

This dentist office is wonderful. I was there a few days ago for a cleaning. I was in Colorado visiting my parents, and Lone Tree Dentists were able to schedule me right away. Apart from being super green (paperless sign in, medical forms, etc) which is awesome, the staff is friendly, organized, and very knowledgeable. They helped me clear up a simple problem my previous dentist hadn’t even noticed or mentioned to me before.
Long story short, these dentists are great and I would definitely recommend to all. And plus, you can’t beat the price!
