Lone Tree Postal Service operates as a contract postal unit through the main Highlands Ranch Post Office with the goal of providing convenient, efficient and friendly shipping services with no up-​charge. Our Community Post Office creates a profitable platform for the USPS because we are a privately owned local business offering additional services and products to you. In addition, Byrd’s Nest products are available at this store to satisfy your one stop shopping gift giving needs. Pick out the perfect gift, package it and we will assist you with the most cost effective shipping method!

History

Established in 2008.

We purchased this postal unit from prior owners in December, 2012. We moved the unit across the street in order to accommodate a third postal station and to provide better parking for our customers.

I am a Douglas County resident and have 4 kids in Rock Canyon. I am an attorney most recently working for Governor Hickenlooper. I have always wanted to own my own business and decided to purchase this postal unit as well as the one in Castle Pines (Lagae Street — by the Kings Sooper) several years ago. It has been fun and I certainly understand the challenges of small business owners. I strive to make the postal experience as friendly as possible!

I needed a post office.
I had one simple task.
It was fairly early in the morning.
I asked my son to look up post offices while I drove him to school.
He found this one.
«Where?» I asked.
He gave me the address.
Only a few minutes from home.
Nice.
«Hit directions,» I said.
Perfect.
Easy to find.
…even though I didn’t know it was even there beforehand.
Friendly staff.
In and out in one minute.

Staff was unfriendly and not helpful when I asked questions about mailing a package. They do not provide the same services as a post office. I walked out without sensing my packages and mocing forwars will do business with the post office directly or another postal service provider.

I arrived here a couple minutes before their closing time of 4:00 on a Saturday. The sign still said ‘Open’ when I arrived. However, as I was walking up to the door, a worker ran through the door and flipped the sign over. I said that my clock said it was a couple minutes to 4, but she was very rude and said that the next pick up wasn’t until Monday and that they WERE closed. I understand that it was almost their closing time, but how hard would it have been to say «Hey come on in & we’ll get you taken care of.» My order probably would have taken them 5 minutes to complete. That really would have made my day, but instead they lost a customer. Too bad because I did like that they had shorter lines and have received good service there in the past.

I need to update my review. I’ve been coming in here more often and it seems like my original review was truly when they were having an «off» day. This is a great place to go when you need quick, friendly service. It’s my go-​to now. I can’t imagine going to the large Highlands Ranch post office any more. I’m really glad this place exists!

Best post office in the area. Never busy, and the kindest workers. You get in, get what you want, get help if you don’t know what you want, and get out, in all of 10 minutes. SO much more calmer and friendlier than a normal post office that’s too busy to even answer your questions.

Very convenient for US Postal Service shipping needs if you want to avoid the hassle of a regular post office. They sell a number of gift items if you’re interested in them, too. For me, it’s just a simple way to ship things without going to the post office.
