Worst place ever!!! Everything in these reviews are true. I just walked out after waiting for 50 minutes. Never going back. Stay away u will regret.

The worst doctor ever. He once stated during surgery he for got what he was doing, and looked lost. A nurse complained to the AMA, and they suspended his license until his colleagues could verify his medical knowledge. Unfortunately they did and he is still allowed to practice. I would stay far away from here. Also this practice has not been able to keep an employee longer than 7 months, they always quit. I believe this says something about him in particular.
He farts and burps in patients faces and charges an arm and a leg for his weak medical opinion. They are many more qualified doctors in the surrounding area. Do not go here!

I am 65 years old and I am generously giving Dr. Margolis a one star rating because I believe he saved my eyesight in my eye. But I believe that all the reviews are accurate about his awful bedside behavior. Dr. Margolis technical skills are excellent. I had a torn retina in one eye and Dr. Margolis used his laser to arrest the tare, which if left untreated would have destroyed my eyesight in that eye. This procedure is normally done by a retina specialist and after being referred to one for a post checkup the retina specialist confirmed that Dr. Margolis did an excellent job. For this reason (two years ago) I had switched my entire family (wife and 4 kids) to Dr. Margolis. I have seen Dr. Margolis for biannual checkups for three years. UNFORTUNATELY, in this world there is always bad with the good. Dr. Margolis bedside manors are the worst I have ever experienced in my dealings with medical professionals. My wife took the kids there ONLY ONCE, and they waited way over 90 minute just to be seen, having to deal with young children over lasting their waiting tolerances. For me I continued to have my eyes checked for the past 2.5 years. HOWEVER, my visit this month will be my LAST!!! I suffer from many medical conditions and I don’t need the extra stress brought on by Dr. Margolis. Just for the simple eye exam I had to endure such mental harassment! Dr. Margolis scolded me the first time he said under the lens exam to say lens «1» or «2». For lens option «1» he accidentally had his hand in front of the machine blocking the eye chart. For lens option «2» I saw the chart. Then I asked for him to repeat option «1» twice. Then Dr. Margolis said: «I will not repeat the lens options again because I don’t have 30 minutes to devote to a 2 minute exam». That comment put me over the top. I held inside myself my desire to scold him, and walk out of his office. He had a new employee that day that was very sweat, and I did not want to make her feel uncomfortable. However, I am still so very upset about my treatment. I agree that Dr. Margolis deserves negative stars for his horrible bedside manors. I also might suggest that the reason I saw no other patients in his office, and the reason he cut his office suite in half, is a direct reflection on how poorly he treats his patients. Enough said! I will go to another eye doctor next time !!!

If I could give Dr. Margolis negative stars I would. It is for sure the worst medical experience of my life. And I’m almost 40 and have had 3 major surgeries… I was very excited to find dr. Margolis on an Internet search because he specialized in dry eye and I have been suffering from dry eye for too long! His practice is conveniently located on the Sky Ridge Medical Campus at Lincoln and I25 and I suppose that MIGHT justify one star…
I had 2 appointments with Dr. Margolis. Both times I waited in a crowded waiting room for over an hour past my appointment time. Once I actually saw Dr. Margolis he was rude and arrogant and never once apologized for the wait time. The special eye drops «only available through his office» I found on Amazon for less. After I had a bad reaction to the pricey moisture chamber eye goggles. I called his office to see what my options were (return them, credit, partial credit, exchange them for a different product ect) there were no options. I was stuck with the goggles and I bad taste in my mouth. Google Dr. Tiffany Carlson if you would like someone knowledgable, reasonable and personable.

Both my wife and left without a prescription we could use for the particular lenses we asked for. No other store would fill the prescription because it would require guessing. Their optometrist just confirmed to me that Margolis won’t write anything other than a general purpose prescription for bifocals or progressive lenses. I already have those glasses. His dilation jacked my eyes up for half a day. He made me come back for a second exam to look at a birthmark I think to just work over my insurance company. And they tried to upsell us on a dry-​eye treatment making you fill out 3 pages of forms designed to insure you need the treatment. Finally the receptionist is annoying beyond belief with her false sincerity and helpfulness. Oh and plan on being there at least two hours.

Wish I would have read these real reviews and not the ones generated on other sites which I suspect are from a reputation repair site.

As the previous reviews say, long waits, bad bedside manner, doesn’t communicate anything, wants lots of appointments so he can charge lots of money. He actually told me I had to come back to discuss my prescription change. Interestingly, his tone changed considerably after I got up to leave in the middle of my appointment.

All reviews are true about awful bedside manner, rude man. Wanted to do all kind of procedures on my eyelids because of «blepharitis» not covered by insurance, costing thousands of dollars if I had done all the treatments recommended. Got second opinion, simple allergy, my eyes fine now. A year later getting calls that I am overdue for appointment. Latest call at 8 a.m. on a Sunday morning. Would not go back to Dr. Margolis if I was paid to. Very condescending. Made me feel very uncomfortable. Would not have written new bad review if this office had not had the audacity to call like this. Lovely office!

Worst eye doctor ever. I went to see Dr. Beth Seidman and she was nice during my eye exam and seemed very thorough. I was told that I needed to come in for a «follow up» appointment to «make sure» that my contacts were working for me. I don’t have time, nor do I wish to pay them more money just to make sure that my contacts are working for me. I cancelled the follow up and I called the office 4 times to have them fax me my prescription so that I could order contacts from a cheaper location. When I FINALLY received the fax, (actually, the fax never came, they had to mail it to me), I took it to WM to have it filled, Margolis vision told them that it isn’t a final prescription because I haven’t come in for a follow up yet and I haven’t ok’d the contacts with them. I called to tell them that they’re working fine and gosh, could I please have permission to order my contacts now? After being put on hold for several long minutes, I was told that I cannot get the prescription filled because I am REQUIRED to come in for a follow up. I spoke to Dr. Seidman later and she was rude and totally unapologetic and gave me a song and dance about how she needs to make sure that these are working for me and she’s liable if she signs that prescription and then something goes wrong. I’ve been wearing contacts for 25+ years. They fit fine. I can see just fine. I told her that I would be taking my business elsewhere, and I would not be bringing my kids back there either — she could not have cared less.
So, moral of the story is — they will hold your prescription hostage unless you come pay them extra money for a needless «follow up» appointment, and they don’t care about their customers.
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I’m a diabetic who goes in once a year for an exam of my eyes with regards to diabetes. I didn’t go here to get new glasses or a new prescription. I arrived on time and had all the new patient forms filled out in advance. I waited 3 hours before the Doctor saw me. By that time I was fuming and I let him have it. He actually instructed his front desk to refund my $ 25 co pay because of the wait time. Three weeks later they sent me a bill for $ 25. Here we are one year later and they left a voice mail saying I had a 3:45 appointment on Monday. This is probably one of the worst run offices I’ve ever seen. I will never go back and I’m sorry I wasted 3 hours of my time. At the end of the day his practice is a business. So it’s not about the doctor it’s about the customer/​patient. Some places just don’t get it.

I went to Margolis Vision last year (I can never find an optometrist whom I like) and was initially impressed. It’s a nice space, and the optometrist (can’t remember her name, but not Dr. Margolis) was very nice, sweet, and funny. She was very thorough in her examination for both myself and my husband (although we were taken about 20 minutes late).
The problems came after our evaluation. First, Nicki, the materials coordinator at the time, was unprofessional and slow in helping us. Then, it took a very long time for my husband’s glasses to arrive, and I think he even had to follow up with them because he never received a call about them. Same for my hard contact lenses. When I finally got my contact lenses, a few days in, I was cleaning one in my hand (I have worn lenses for almost half of my life, so I know how to treat them) and it just snapped in half. This has never happened to me before! I called Margolis, and it took several left messages before getting Nicki to call me back. She at first was rude and basically told me it was my problem, until it became clear that she hadn’t understood what I was saying and that I had hard lenses and not soft. Then several follow-​ups (where I was instructed to follow up with her, not the other way around) before I finally spoke to the optometrist, who said she would submit the lenses for review with the manufacturer on whether it was a defect. I dropped the lens off and haven’t heard one more word. No attempt to make it right and replace it, no follow-​up on my issue. I’m wearing one new lens and one from several years ago while I wait for my annual appointment to come due. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

I had a very good experience with Dr. Margolis and his staff. I had no issue with wait times and found Dr. Margolis to be incredibly knowledgable and helpful.

Dr Margolis has a very cold bedside manner, he orders tests that are covered by insurance and then says he has to repeat these tests every 6 mos because results are inconclusive. Being in the medical field for more than 30 yrs I feel that he is ordering needless repetitive tests to help pay for his expensive equipment. I will not ever return to his office. Dr Margolis gives one the feeling that he is giving you cold, condescending answers, then he chgs $ 49 for dilation but does not tell you about charges up front.

Just awful, I waited 1 ½ hours and walked out! His staff walked by about 100 times and not one told us about a delay. Dr. Margolis needs to start respect his patients and their time. He and his staff need to set reasonable appointment times and keep them.
After reading the reviews (that I wish I would’ve looked at first), I’m glad I didn’t see him — never will either.

I had no issues with Dr. Margolis’ professional abilities, I found him to be a very cold person and intimidating in his style. He dressed down one of his staff members in front of me for a problem that was not even her issue. I swore not to return to him after that. The process also took a very long time as he takes on too many client at a time and you spend extra time in the waiting room.
The rest of the staff were very nice.
Also they charge an extra $ 40 to have your eyes dilated that is over and above your eye exam. You don’t know this until you are sitting in the chair.
