To add to my previous review, I recently received a bill for over $ 800 from NBI. When I called to dispute they claimed the lab work for my Genomind testing which was supposed to be free was now this amount. I informed them I was not going to pay it… We will see how this goes. I have also chosen to conduct a grievance towards Mary.
Another bit of interesting info is that two other patients had bad reviews up on Unilocal but they were tagged and removed… Just something to consider before attending this establishment.

I have never written a review on Unilocal before like the previous reviewer. But my experience with NBI was so horrendous I felt compelled to warn people to steer clear of them. To make a long story short, my entire experience with NBI came down to appointment fees and money. When making my appointment over the phone I was told they accepted my insurance and that I was cleared for a visit. Upon arrival, I was immediately told I owed them $ 125 because I had not met my deductible. They demanded payment and told me I could not be seen until I paid. I guess billing me later was out of the question. I told the billing person at NBI several times that I had indeed met the deductible and she would not believe me. We went back and forth over this matter several times as I got to argue with her over the phone in front of all the other patients. She would not approve my visit and I think she just wanted to go home early (it was 3:00 on a Friday afternoon). I attempted to reach my insurance agent so he could help with resolving the issue. In the meantime I filled out the NBI paperwork. Out of 10 forms, not one form asked me about my actual symptoms and the reason for my visit. Many of the forms involved acknowledgment by patients that they were responsible for charges if they were late, charges for not giving enough notice when canceling an appointment and an outline of charges for filling out forms and writing letters on a patient’s behalf. I was getting a very clear message that all they were interested in was billing clients and not with actual patient care. I was so disgusted I decided to leave, determined to seek an alternate provider. Later that afternoon I got a call from my insurance agent letting me know it had all been worked out. They agreed to see me because someone finally figured out that my deductible had been met. I obviously didn’t try to go back to keep the appointment that day. I will NEVER recommend NBI to anyone and felt my entire experience with them was a complete waste of money, time and energy.
