1246 Barbershop & Shave Parlour

I’ve been getting cuts at 1246 for 6 months now and I’ve been recommending friends since my first visit. Great spot. Great people. Great music. Try it out.

Love this place; been coming here for over a year. The ambiance is really chill and non-​pretentious.

Great cut, Cesar always does great work, and helped me figure out exactly what I wanted when I was looking to change it up a bit. A+

This place is hands down the best barbershop I’ve been to. I’ve had my hair cut by several of the barbers and they are all great. Very sharp haircuts, knowledgeable staff, great music, great vibes.
Make sure you call to make an appointment because they are usually booked up. I did have luck walking in once, but don’t be surprised if you show up and they don’t have time for walk-​ins. Also, this place is cash only and while they do have an ATM, there is a fee.

My friend started going here a few months ago… and he loves his haircut every time. He also loves the people, which are super nice. He would give it 5 stars IF customer service was more efficient. Altho having an appointment would be respected at most places, at this place he has to wait about 30 – 40 minutes longer after getting there. When someone works all day and uses his lunch hour to get a haircut, this isn’t always beneficial. If appointment times were more efficiently set, this place would get 10 stars.

I originally was that girl waiting on the couch for her boyfriend to be done with his hair cut, but that was a very short lived 5 seconds. By the time I went from door to couch I was already being talked to and greeted by the people in this shop. Cesar and Jena were funny and talkative to everyone in the shop. I’ve since followed their amazing skills in their trait and have been amazed at every turn. I now go back without my boyfriend and have my hair cut by Cesar because he’s the only one thus far to get my cut right without me speaking more than just a few words. I see they offering shaves to the guys and now they have been offering facials for, well, anyone willing to get one. It’s a very calm environment, friendly and almost family like. I now only go to this place, so much so that I went a full year without hair cut or trim because I refused to go any other place. I’d highly say try this place out. If you’re not satisfied, it is conveniently located near bars… so go to a local bar and drink until you feel pretty again, but I promise this won’t be an issue.
There is but ONE issue… PARKING SUCKS!
Get over that, and you’ll be fine. Walking didn’t hurt anyone. Plus, these guys are worth it. I haven’t seen one angry or unsatisfied customer walk out of there once. Walk ins are great, but I recommend setting up an appointment.

This is a shop of true professionals. They are all passionate about their work and do it well. I searched for a few months for a barbershop and I immediately settled on them. Everyone cuts well without exception. They cut by appointment, but you can call in to check and see if they have openings.

My son was long overdue for a haircut. We walked in and Richie was available. My son wanted a particular haircut and Richie came through with exactly what he wanted. Very warm shop and everyone talks about anything and everything. Waiting area is comfortable with plenty of reading material and refreshments to stay cool. We will be back and Richie is our Barber!

This place has knowledgable staff. They listen to what you want. I would definitely recommend them and this is definitely my new barber shop. If there was something they could improve I would say they should sell more product that they themselves use.

So I just moved to seal beach and really needed to find a barbershop. Is am getting married on Saturday and wanted to look sharp (for obvious reasons) and finding a barber can be very difficult. You can’t just go anywhere, I mean what am I, an animal? So i I searched and searched all the reviews and decided that this shop was good for a go. I called and set an appointment for 30 minutes later with Richie. Great guy, nice conversation, cut came out great and the atmophere reminded me of a tattoo shop. I’ve found my barber shop and I’ll be back soon.

After ditching my last barber because he could not keep a schedule or appointment, I stumbled upon 1246 for a walk in… which they do not normally do. Jimmy was accommodating and squeezed me in. That was well over a year ago and I have been coming back every four weeks for a shave and a haircut. Professional, quality products, good tunes and banter, and on time for appointments (make one).
I go to the owner, Jimmy, but I consistently see great cuts from Cesar, Jenna, and the rest of the crew. If you want a traditional haircut, this is the place to go.

I was in for a haircut, Cesar took me, and he did a masterful job. For one thing, this is the whole shebang, meaning they have brought back the niceties of the old time barber shop, things that were once standard, but have fallen by the wayside with the hurried in-​and-​out approach you might find in the typical mall salon/​hair cuttery. Hot shaving cream and straight razor trim around the ears, hot towel cleanup, after shave, even a little Brylcreem on top to get everything just so. But at the heart of it is the haircut itself: there is the intangible quality that a good barber has that guides him in the right direction: he picks up his comb and clippers and just knows what to do.

This place is absolutely fantastic. When I came to the shop, I was just expecting my regular cut, a 6 on all sides. The barber could have had a really easy job just using one guard on his clippers, but he is a better barber than that. He took the time to go over several hair styles and in the end, I had a hair cut that I really liked and am getting compliments left and right for. One thing I really appreciated is that the barbers are really focused on their customers, they take their time on each cut and they never once stopped to check their phone like so many other shops today. They take the time to get their cuts right and it really shows. I’ll definitely be back.

Randomly walked past this place and was I need of a fresh cut. Was greeted at the door with a warm welcome, asked if I had an appointment and told em «I was just walking by and thought I’d check it out.» «You got time for me?» Caesar happily obliged, and hooked it up with one of the cleanest fades I’ve ever had! Was in and out in less than thirty minutes! This dude was humble and we were shooting the shit the whole time! Even got offered an ice cold beer and in my hand it went!!! A little pricey, but you get what you pay for, it was quality work I’ll have to say! Will be returning here for sure!

Usually appointment only but Marlon was able to fit me in between customers. Pretty fast and a clean cut. Def check em out.

This place is by far one of the best I have ever been too. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is fitting for their theme. You get a great haircut every time and the price is affordable. You need to make an appointment because they are typically booked solid throughout the week.
They have a great selection of hair products that actually work. They even have drinks for you while you wait. I have no problem recommended a place when it’s this good.

This is by far the best place I’ve ever gotten a hair con ever since I moved to the Los Angeles area from the Bay Area. While staying with my in-​law I searched for a barber place and this was just 2 blocks away. It was the best choice I ever made, I literally had the best hair cut of my life. Custumer service is great everyone is very friendly and super cool very attentive with everyone that walks in. I now live close to USC and I would be going back to get my haircut here.

Love this place… all of the barbers are great. Love the atmosphere. Price is just right for the quality of a cut you get. The cut is vintage style that lasts over a month. If your in the area then you have to make an appt. With Jimmy, Ceaser, Drew and Lou. This is a must stop for a great cut or shave.

Drew was so kind and his work is freakin’ Awesome. Simple buzz cut… Great service! I was referred from Hollywood Barber in LB which is for gents only. Drew took me as a walk in between appointments.
Glad I took the risk of going, especially being a woman of color you just never know if they will be able to truly accommodate.

We just moved to San Pedro and were driving around the Long Beach area when we noticed this cool looking barber shop. Our son was in need of a hair cut so we decided to stop. Right when you walk in you are greeted and feel welcomed. Cesar did an amazing job on my 10year olds hair. I think he’s gonna sleep standing up tonight because he doesn’t want to mess it up.
If you want a really cool cut and great service stop by this place! Worth every penny!
