5 years later and Still feeling great. Once in a while I feel slight numbness, but I do my routine and it goes away

I am astonished by the speed and benefit of Dr. Johnson’s treatments. I arrived after 2 weeks of pain traveling abroad, had not slept at all in 3 days, and was about to go mad. At age 14 I sustained a tail bone fracture“S1″ while wrestling.

After the first visit to Dr. Brock Johnson The pain subsided the next day through the Neurologic Rehabilitation. This Neurologic Chiropractic paradigm engages the core of the body as it relates to, and affects the spinal chord, and respective areas of the brain.
Example, all of my adult life I have been sensitive to ultra violet light. A specific simple exercise that stimulates the thalamus region of the brain has decreased sensitivity to UV light.
The exercises and treatment plan prescribed By Dr. Brock Johnson has strengthened my core, stomach, and back while reducing pain. His approach is fresh and unconventional, but his treatment plan works. Each case is different and results may vary, however, as a retired law enforcement professional the results are real.
The fact is, if you adhere to the prescribed treatment plan, you will experience real results and a reduction in pain through simple exercises.

Dr. Brock Johnson, of Above and Beyond Chiropractic is not your typical chiropractor. He’s a neurologic chiropractor (whatever that means) but he’s got a very different method of treatment.
I’ll admit, some of the stuff he does seems a little weird. He says he can activate certain nerves and effect the brain/​body connection by having you follow a pen with your eyes in certain directions, looking at red and white squares on a piece of ribbon pass through your field of vision and smelling pepperminty stuff through certain nostrils. While I’m not sure about all that stuff, the physical medicine he does IS AWESOME.
I went in for a shoulder problem, after seeing an orthopedic who just wanted to do surgery and cortisone injections. Dr. Brock did some preliminary strength testing, and said it seemed like I had some shortening of some of the accessory muscles in the shoulder. He showed me on an anatomy chart, then took me through a range of motion while trying to push on the spot that was too tight. I felt better after one visit, and after about a month (4 visits) I was 100% better. I had tried physical therapy for the problem before, but that ended up being mostly me doing strength and stretching while the physical therapist said «good, mmmhmm» while playing on their phone and billing my insurance. This is way more hands on and pro active in addressing the issue.
He very rarely will do the typical chiropractic adjustments, where you get your back and neck cracked. He knows how to do it, and does it very well when it’s appropriate, but he tries to get the musculature in order so it’s not constantly tugging the vertebrae out of alignment.
It’s kind of an odd thing, some of the stuff to my untrained eye seems a little bit hippy and new age-​ish, but some of it makes sense and seems like good science. Ultimately, some part of what he does works, has fixed my shoulder and for the time being, has saved me from needing surgery.

OH, I almost forgot, they do massage in the office too! I just got a massage from Marcos, who was absolutely amazing. Best massage i’ve ever had. Deep tissue, but afterwards I didn’t feel bruised.
Dr Brock and Marcos both will bill your insurance if you have that kind of coverage, and if not, their cash prices are reasonable…$ 40 for a follow up with Dr. Brock, and $ 60 for an hour with Marcos.
