Anderson A Denette, DDS

I found Dr. Denette based on a close location to my home and positive reviews on social media, and I am pleased! Don’t be put off by the very dated appearance of the building. This is a modern dental office with a crackerjack staff.
The hygienist who did the cleaning was great and quite concerned about seeing me on time. I had to wait a few minutes to see the dentist and several staff checked on me. Based on typical experience at other providers, I had expected to read a couple of chapters in the book I had brought, but the wait was well under 10 minutes. The front office staff know exactly what they are doing, work quickly and efficiently – and they’re nice! What a change from a typical medical/​dental office!
I had a minor issue from work done by my previous dentist (which is why I was shopping for a new dentist), and Dr. Denette was able to address my problem. I liked her conservative approach. The prior work was not optimal, but since the work was adequate, Dr. Denette didn’t recommend ripping it all out and starting over. I also found that to be a refreshing change from other dentists who just want to start a list of all the procedures they can do and charge for.

I took all my kids (my 10, 5, and 2-​year-​old) yesterday for our cleanings. My little one was there more so to look at what I thought were cavities. Turns out, yes, he had 2 in his lower molars. I just want to let everyone know it’s not easy working on children, or adults for that matter. But my 2-​year-​old was treated with great care. They showed him the instruments they were going to use, and how they worked. He opened his little mouth and they worked their magic. No needles, no pain. He sat very still like a champ. They were able to fill his cavities and I couldn’t have been more pleased of how smoothly the process went. You guys are awesome!

Been seeing Francine, the hygienists, for over 10 years. Dr. Dennette is pretty awesome and her office and staff is really warm and friendly! It’s funny to say, but I actually do enjoy getting my teeth cleaned. I always leave with a big cheesy smile! Now time for some ice cream! Haha

Before seeing Dr. Anderson I had not been to the dentist for about 5 years due to no insurance. I was sure my teeth were gonna need a lot of work but it turns out I just needed a couple of fillings. I love how nice everyone is and how professional they all are. Dr. Anderson is awesome! I felt ZERO pain and she finished up fast. I love that the wait is minimal unlike other dentist I’ve been to where It would practically be an all day thing for just a filling. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

Best dentist ever! Denette is so friendly and really cares about her patients. After a bad experience with a dentist, I asked around and she came very highly recommended from a friend when I needed a cap over a new implant. I have been going to Denette for about 8 years now. I love that I can trust my teeth to her and that she will not advise unecessary treatments. Her staff is great too. I actually look forward to my appointments.

Dr Denette is the best and Kelly her assistant is super nice. Her side of the office is like a party every time I am there. Happy people laughing at each other and professional. Glad I am in their care.

There are 2 Anderson doctors father and daughter. My family and it have seen the daughter. She is a great lady. Very nice and personable. It’s a great office for kids. She talked with my daughter through her injection she gave her for numbing. And when the kids are done with the visit they get to pick a toy from the treasure chest.

I like the way she explains procedures, she’s very thorough. Staff are equally nice & pleasant. I’m calm when I’m in the chair & I don’t need to worry about the pain as much. Really close to my home which is so great!!!

I went to Dr. Anderson to get a cleaning. What a friendly place. Everyone was very friendly from the moment I walked in. I’m was looking for a cleaning and I had a few questions for Dr. Anderson. What a great person if you’re looking for a place give her a call. She’ll make you laugh. Already forward to my next visit.

I’ve been going to Dr. Tavernakis for years and was devastated when he retired, and skipped dentist visits for a while for fear of a bad experience. So glad I finally went to see Dr. Anderson. She is at least as good. Everyone was very caring and attentive and accommodating to my fears. I get to wear the x-​ray apron the entire time because I find it very calming, and they’re not making a fuss about it or mocking me. Everyone always explains in detail what is happening, so I know exactly what to expect — the dreaded drill sound, or the exact same sound but now it’s just to polish the tooth, a little mini-​saw to make sure the filling is separated from the adjacent tooth so I can floss, now there is going to be a little bit of water, etc.
Also, I just got my first bill that showed how much my insurance paid, and that Dr. Anderson could charge me up to $ 111 — but they only charged $ 56, and included a handwritten explanation. How awesome is that?!?
I’m re-​doing all my fillings and crowns this year and am happy to not have to go any more dentist-​shopping.

Best dentist ever! Caring, accommodating, great staff. Evening appointments for those of us who work. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great dentist.

Wonderful. The office is run by Denette and her Dad, small office, nice people. My cleaning was done by the Hygienist (sp?), and the consult re: my teeth was with Denette. She definitely cares about what she does.

Great dentist and staff, they actually care. Wish they accepted insurance though. My family has been seeing Dr. Denette Anderson for more than 20 years!

The best dentist ever.

I will NEVER forget the first time I met Dr Denette — our son was about 1 ½ years old and slipped in the tub and broke his front baby tooth. Dr Denette was in Catalina that weekend but called us back (we were not patients of hers yet) and calmed me down …21 years later… she and her staff are part of our yearly routine — they are incredible… we love them all!!!

Now that I found Dr. Denette Anderson’s dental office, I will never go to any other dental office again. I can not rave enough about Dr. Denette and her wonderful and friendly staff.
Dr. Denette Anderson is a family friendly dental office. They genuinely care about their patients and treat everyone as if they were a friend of the family. Dr. Anderson is very professional with a dynamic personality. Her assistant Kelly M. is extremely funny and will have you entertained to the point you forget you are sitting in a dental chair. Sande the receptionist is just as wonderful too. She works very hard to accommodate Dr. Anderson’s patients and treats everyone like a friend. I have been going for many years and can not think of any negative experience I have had with this office. I just wish every business operated the same.

Moved to Long Beach and needed to find a new dentist (traveling to Laguna Hills was getting old with traffic). Was referred to Dr. Anderson by a friend, and could not be happier. I never have had to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes, and the entire staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Anderson has a great personality, makes you feel at ease, explains everything in easy to understand terminology, and is extremely fair as far as cost. What a relief to find such a kind and competent dentist so close to my house. I trust her 100%.

I was recommended to Dr. Denette Anderson by a friend who has been going to her for a long time. I fall into the category as one of those people who went the dentist as a child, but hasn’t gone since late college when my parents’ insurance stopped covering me. Needless to say, I hadn’t been to the dentist in almost 5 years when I first went to go see Dr. Anderson this past August.
The staff there was great. I was in and out in about 40 minutes for a cleaning and x rays. Dr. Anderson is nice, professional, and a real person with a family and a life, not just a robot dentist. I had an old filling that needed to be replaced and a new cavity that had developed. I went back about a week later for my cavity filling and it was quick and as painless as can be expected.
I’ve got my 6 month appointment set up for February and I’m actually kind of looking forward to it since her office made it so easy.
