We were driving in LB looking for somewhere to eat that was better than simple fast food. As we turner right on Long Beach Blvd. we looked and saw this restaurant. Not sure what to expect quite frankly since it was empty and a bit weird location. As we enter we notice the place it completely empty and no one was at the front counter. We waited a few minutes and someone pooped out. We asked if they were closed and were told no. When a woman came out we added if we just sit anywhere to which she hesitantly said yes and looked up at the clock. Once we sat down though she was very pleasant and friendly. We were handed a menu that had Italian on one side and Persian on the other. I thought that was an odd combination but we proceeded to look over what we were craving, Italian food. Have to admit I was very skeptical. Our group of four placed our orders. I had a chicken parm sandwich which I had very low expectations of. While we waited our server brought our drinks and made conversation. I have to say that despite my skepticism, the four dishes we ordered looked pretty good. My chicken parm was actually really, really good. My son didn’t think his rib dish was all that but it wasn’t bad, just not the best he has had. The only hiccup was a small oversight where we were charged for a Sprite we did not order but the woman who served us took care of it right away. Prices were ok, probably a bit higher than I would’ve liked but not by much. Overall, it was better than I expected but not the greatest.

As a Persian-Armenian, I’ve had a LOT of Persian food, and know good Persian food from wannabe kebab shops. Aryas food is surprisingly impressive– very fresh, perfectly seasoned and delicious– surprising only because we’re surprised to find decent Persian cuisine in long beach. I’d love them even more if they were more dependable– delivery(each of the 4 – 5 times we’ve used them) takes over and hour and a half, and most of the time, the wrong yogurt side is delivered than the one we requested. Recommend the food, but don’t expect quick delivery.

Amazing Persian food, and very attentive staff. The food was very fresh, and had that amazing taste of authenticity. My favorite part of my dinner here was the warm bread, and the fact that the person I had dinner with was able to choose from a myriad amount of choices that were non-Persian too facilitated the process.

Had lunch here yesterday for the first time. Very clean, reasonable prices for food portion, friendly staff and food was delicious. I’m coming back and bringing the entire family.

If you are looking for convenience and decent Mediterranean food then this place is a great choice. I ordered the sirloin kabob which was flavored nicely and came with a delicious grilled half tomato and rice. I think it would have been a better value to include a small side of hummus as most other places do. I also ordered a side of hummus which is good but nothing special, I added a good squeeze of fresh lemon juice and that made it really good. The only thing I don’t recommend from the items I ordered is the bahglava. It wasn’t good at all and I didn’t eat even one whole piece. The service was quick for a Friday night and all in all I would order again. The only complaint I have about delivery is the $ 3 fee. Considering I’m 2.5 miles away that just doesn’t make sense to me, however I do live in long beach and parking is too horrific to leave at 7pm on a Friday to go get take out so I bit the bullet and paid the fee.

Update! Still have not returned to eat this guys food since delivery portions were smaller. And on top of that he was rude to my wife.

Decent persian overall… beef koobedeh was kinda dry and over cooked imo. At other Persian places I usually order one entrée and pay for additional skewer. Owner here does NOT allow this which was a definite first for me. Disappointing to say the least. I would probably just stick to a higher quality of food at gypsy’s. Not coming back for sure.

The food here was quite good. I got the gormeh sabzie and my buddy got the kabob kobedeh and both were fire we split each one and an order must khear. The atmosphere is just ok though kinda small but if you are just there for the food you won’t be disappointed. It can be kinda pricy but that’s all authentic persian food.

Wanted late night eats after Dark Harbor at Queen Mary. Hubby found this place on Unilocal and it was listed as open until 2am. Two carloads drove to this spot to find it closed. Zero stars for wasting our time and playing with my emotional appetite. Fix your hours!

Definitely a regular take out customer here! They have my address on file! Have yet to actually eat at the restaurant, but they’ve always been very nice to me. The food is delicious, although it is a little pricey, so it is a special treat to myself when I order from Arya.

I found 2 pieces of hair in my food. Not OK! The chicken kabob was really dry and very salty for some odd reason. Never have I experienced a salty kabob at a Persian restaurant before.

During the Labor Day weekend, my BFF, sister, and my sister’s kids were visiting. We were hungary for Persian food, so we decided to order lunch and have it delivered through Unilocal. Delivery time was estimated to be 45 – 60 minutes, but the driver arrived in 30 minutes. It was our first time having Arya Authentic Persian Cuisine and it was better than Caspians in Irvine! Five stars across the board for large portions, enough for leftovers. Here is how I’d rate the food we ordered: * 5 stars, Maust O’khiar for $ 4. For the price you get about 8 ounces. This was a thick yogurt with cucumber, which I love on pita bread and in my rice. Major points for NOT being running/thin and very flavorful! * 5 stars, Shirazi Salad for $ 4. For the price you get about 8 – 12 ounces. This was so packed with flavor. Loved this over my rice. * 5 stars, Hummus for $ 5 you get at least 12 ounces. This is enough for 3 – 4 adults. Very yummy! * 5 stars, Zhereshk Polo for $ 16.95. The chunks of marinated Chicken Kabob were tender and juicy. The rice you have a choice to top with Cranberries or Barberries. So delicious! * 5 stars, Barg Kabob for $ 18.95. Tender chunks of marinated Beef Loin and Basmati Rice(my favorite). This beef was so good I could not believe it! Very tender! * 5 stars, Lamb Shank for $ 15.95. Meat was so tender it practically fell off the bone! Overall, this is a great Persian Restaurant that I would recommend to anyone. I will definitely order from here again.

Was hungry and looking forward to some persian food, and happy they were open late, but when we arrived with the sign saying open, the door was locked and the lady at the counter motioned that they were closed. Correct me if Im wrong, but if the sign says open, doesnt that mean you’re OPEN??? Highly disappointed :(

Always a #1 choice for catered lunches at work decided to come here on an off day tho and was pleasantly surprised. Small setting, parking in front(a couple spaces) they accept credit/debit, a two-sided menu complete with American regular dishes on one side and full fledged Persian selection on the back. Friendly customer service, NORESTROOMS or at least I didn’t see any… and yes, getting the food to your table does seem to occur at a glacial pace but once it gets there be ready to eat! Their hummus should really be eaten by everyone. I’ve eaten their lamb multiple times and it keeps me coming back. Chose to drink something called«Dough in a Bottle» which is carbonated yogurt and water… very interesting. Our server indicated it would taste better with the meat and that’s still under hot debate. Huge portion sizes. My big plate was approximately $ 13.95 and a side of bread and hummus at $ 5.00 a pop. Total tab of $ 25 still not terrible for one person and I went home with plenty of leftovers. If you’re in the mood for something different, have a tad bit of patience and love a good meal check out Arya Authentic Persian Food.

I can’t believe this place has such good reviews. I ordered delivery to my hotel and waited i bit more then an hour for it to arrive. I was not notified that my food had arrived and got a very rude phone call from the restaurant yelling at me saying the driver has been waiting 20 minutes for me. I’m starved by the time I get my food back to the room. There is one itty bitty pack of butter and a side of bread, that’s fine, but the food tasted like pure salt. If you grew up in a Persian household like I did you will be so dissappointed!

When you first park, you’re kind of confused because there’s a flashing sign for Julio’s pizza. Underneath is a sign for Arya but it’s not lit up. Came on a Friday night and the place was empty. There was no menu visible. I asked the lady for a menu, and she said«oh, you want to eat here?» I ordered the #11 Koobideh kabob skewers and changed one of the skewers to beef. The beef was really good; it was juicy, flavorful, and tender. The chicken Koobideh was not as good. It was mushy and not a good combination of flavors. I prefer the beef. I also ordered the humus and it was good, creamy, and not too strong. It was neither heavy nor light; it had a nice medium depth and texture. It came with some good bread to scoop up the humus. I mixed the humus with the rice as well. I wanted to try more sides, but i didn’t want to spend so much more money. I didn’t like that I had to pay $ 5 for humus. At Kabab Crush in Cerritos, a comparable two skewer meal would include two sides and come out to a few dollars less(because you have to order sides separately at Arya). Overall: Average service, one good part of the meal(the beef), high prices. I may come back once in a while, only because it’s so close to my house.

Arya would have never come up on my radar if it weren’t for my gf. She introduced me to eating Persian food. We decided to come here for lunch one day. We were the only customers at the time, but I didn’t mind since we got great service! //FOOD // Barg Kabob: Tender cut of beef loin marinated in a special sauce and skewered and grilled. Served with basmati rice and a charbroiled tomato. The meat was really tender, but I wish it had a little more seasoning on the meat. The rice and tomato were perfect though. Kobideh kabob: Seasoned ground sirloin that is skewered and grilled and served with basmati rice and a charbroiled tomato. I really like this dish! The meat is so flavorful and it goes perfectly with the rice and tomato. I like this dish a little more than the barg kabob just, because of the perfect amount of flavor and seasoning that they use on the meat. Overall, I really enjoyed Arya Authentic Persian Cuisine and I will definitely be back again for more!

The food is as fresh as the pictures on their website. Arya is a smallish Persian cuisine restaurant in Long Beach. Almost a cross between a fast food joint and a full up restaurant, Arya is a bit higher class than the strip mall where it is located. One afternoon, we decided to give this place a try. First tip: this place is located in or used to be an pizza joint, so don’t hesitate to park in their slot. The décor is bright and airy with friendly and polite service. It was a great way to start a meal on a sunny day. Then of course they have lunch specials, for those of you who know me I am always excited about lunch specials. Stacy A. ordered the Boneless Chicken Kabob and I had the Zereshk Polo. Second tip: the differences between the two lunch specials are the price and the«berries». So unless you really like them berries and want to spend an extra $ 2, I would stick with the Boneless Chicken Kabob. Both dishes were tasty and good. The chicken was tender and sits next to a generous bed of delicious basmati rice. Next time? They have Lamb Shank — my standard of comparison.
