Huge fan of this place, nights out with friends, or VIP people it’s the perfect occasion for just about any party. You start out by being escorted all the way up to the rooftop and there you find the restaurant. You then walk up a few flights of stairs and up to the bar. Food is excellent and they have a taco cart and happy hour most days and some weekly specials that you won’t find elsewhere.
The specialty drinks were off the hook. Bartenders are pretty cool! Best part is the exclusiveness and the view as well. If your a local and haven’t been here get your missing out.
Parking is either street or valet.

Such a great spot in Long Beach. Up above the Sky Room, it’s cantina themed with a full bar. Amazing craft cocktails and the best street tacos I’ve ever had. Went there on a Friday with Dave, Dustin and Franco — great service.

Dave is a fantastic, passionate, and inventive ‘liquid architect’ — what a gem of a place for true craft cocktails. I’m trying to figure out when I’m next in Long Beach JUST to come here again

Fabulous drinks and atmosphere. On the top of the historic Breakers. Panoramic view. Amazing happy hour. $ 7 for top shelf hand made drinks. Elizabeth Taylor had a penthouse suite here. How can you possibly go wrong?
The bartenders are top shelf. They will make the most perfect drink you have ever had.

David is knowledgeable and friendly and extra points for having a cocktail with green chartreuse. Great décor, great music, friendly people and a lovely breeze. Long beach’s only rooftop bar. Not to mention a taco lady! Try the lengua. You won’t regret it. Great happy hour Thursday and Friday 5 to 11 and Sunday all day.

Strong drinks, amazing views, great atmosphere, attentive waiters/​bartenders. What more could I ask for? I’ll definitely be back

I can’t believe I’ve lived in long beach for 10 years and only started going here this past month. I almost don’t want to review it, because I like that it’s a hidden gem. It has a great view of the water from high above and great strong but balanced cocktails. Their house cocktail menu is well thought out and has something for everyone. Happy hour prices are fantastic and happy «hours» are later in the day. Big fan of their house tequila cocktail. They have a limited food menu, but the taco lady that’s there makes really good tacos with freshly pressed tortillas and tons of meat on them. They’re pricy, but you get more for that money. It’s freezing cold most of the time due to the wind tunnel setup, so bring a warm jacket. In a span of 2 hours, I’ve had to change spots 5 or 6 times as the wind changed direction.

Best drinks in Long Beach! 2 of the best mixologists around: Dave and Dustin. Ask for the Scotch cocktail. If you’re into a mezcal, ask for the El Silencio Mezcal cocktail.
Tip: No matter how hot it is during the day, bring a jacket to this place because the wind will make you wish you did.

Great specialty cocktails! Franco makes an amazing old fashioned. He will definitely hook you up with whatever your taste desires

We ended up here by accident as we were on our way to The Sky Room bar and the elevator guy sent us through the door and up the stairs to Cielo. We went on Mother’s Day, so there was a delay in the food due to sharing the cook with the main dining room. I assume Dave was the bartender (I forgot to ask), but he comped us on some food and drinks for waiting. Happy hour starts at 4:30 PM even on Sundays, yay! Drinks were well poured. Didn’t care for Dave’s Punch. My BF and I tried to figure the flavor and simultaneously said «band-​aid». I enjoyed the blackberry basil (?) margarita and he enjoyed his Buffalo Trace and the giant ice cube. We sampled 1 of each of the 7 tacos on the menu. A little too spicy for him, so I got to eat most of them :-) I want to try ceviche next time. At any rate, this mom got to enjoy a fun happy hour with an amazing view and just 3 blocks from home.

The best tacos I have ever had! The white bean and chicharron are my favorite. All of the cocktails are bomb and the bartenders do a really great job of making drinks with unusual flavors and pairings. There is really rad artwork up all over the place — a super cool sugar skull painted on the wall!
Tip: Take a picture down the creepy stairwell.

David is the man. He’s a great bar tender!!! I wished this was our first and only stop for the night. Happy hour 7 – 9. Great atmosphere. Great drinks. I’m coming back soon!!!
Update: Got to try the tacos! A little on the expensive side. But these tortillas are fresh and the meat is tender and tasty! Beef was the best.
Also, Dustin is just as awesome as David!

Main reason: the view of downtown. I mean, why else is this place at the Sky Room?
Food is typical with the added plus of seeing the nice lady making the tortillas and Mexican food by hand. Otherwise, flavor is good and price takes into the account that it comes with a view.
Not a large staff considering that it’s a small portion of the partial rooftop. So don’t expect every table to be clean.
But given that the food is alright and there’s a view. It’ll get into the five stars if it.
Tip (for you cheap people): can relax, look at the view, and not be harassed to buy anything. They get plenty of clientele that they don’t mind.
Remember: food adventures are out there. Support the handmade eats and eat ‘em up!

Came here on a Saturday night around 11 for my girlfriend’s cousin birthday. I’ve never been here before so I didn’t know what to expect. We were escort up in an elevator, 5 at a time, by a person on the ground floor. After exiting the elevator there was still stairs you have to use to get to the bar on the roof. There was 2 bartenders working. The bar isn’t big so it was getting hard to move around when more people arrived. There’s some seats on the outer part of the bar area with the view over looking the city. Drinks were good, price range is around $ 12.
We be back if I’m in the area. Might come earlier to be able to try the food they serve.
PS — there isn’t a restroom on the floor of the bar. You have to walk down the stairs to find the restroom

This is, what I call, a sweet spot!
Perched on top of Sky Room restaurant, up a flight of narrow stairs similar to those in a lighthouse tower, you’d never guess they’d have a bar, taco stand, and the best views of long beach in that tiny bell tower.
Decorated in Dia De Los Muertos artwork, this has a 1920s spanish feel, architecturally speaking. There is a small enclosed (not indoor) space that is sometimes used for dancing with a bar. The bartender made really good drinks and the taco lady made the best «street style» tacos I have had in my life. My favorite are the Pork Tacos (served with a Green Sauce/​Salsa).
There is very limited seating sprinkled around the outside of the enclosed space. It’s mostly standing space on a balcony overlooking the city. It is breathtaking and nice little getaway from any weekend crowds. When we left around 11:30 pm it started to get busy. They play great music too. I like this place, the vibe, and its’ charm so I will be back.

We stopped by while waiting for the rest of our group to arrive for our dinner reservations downstairs. The vice was chill and the space was cool.
The walk up and down can be scary in the wrong pair of heels. The floor plan is open air so if it’s cold out, bring a jacket. The view is unobstructed and beautiful. It has a romantics feel to it with couples sitting along the patio.
They have a great happy hour with great drinks. The cherry topper is the taco lady that makes hand made tortillas. I was so tempted to have one, but didn’t since we were on our way to dinner. Next time!

This place was probably the highlight of the night after a night of bar hopping! We walked through the door where there was a valet and someone lead us into the elevator to get to the bar. After getting out of the elevator, we had to walk on a narrow set of stairs and then we were there! It is quite small, but the view was nice, especially the part that faces the ocean :) I tried the Blueberry Basil Sangria and also the Vodka Cocktail. Both were really good (&fairly strong!) The bartender, Dustin was really cool and helpful in recommending the drinks. I’m sure all their other drinks are just as delicious.
They also have tacos here. It looks like legit tacos, with a lady there just to make tacos! Unfortunately I was already really full from the night, so I didn’t get a chance to try the tacos, but hopefully the next time I come here :)
This place is a really cute and romantic place if you want to bring a date or friends and just chat over a few drinks over a nice view. I would definitely recommend and come again!

Cute lil rooftop bar that overlooks the city of Long Beach. it sits atop a very old, 1950s hotel called the Sky Room. They have kept many of the same old decorations and motifs from the original hotel.
When you walk in, as you walk down the corridor to the elevator, there are lots of old 1950s pictures and paintings on the wall that look they have been hanging there forever… the elevator, get this, has an attendant! How cute right? He was very nice and knowledgeable in asking questions about the hotel’s history.
Once you get to the top floor, you have two options:
If you go to the left, you can have a drink at the restaurant/​bar. Inside the restaurant room, there is a small round bar amidst a restaurant of tables that had a better view of the city. A piano and band were they playing music.
If you go right, there’s a small tight staircase to take you upstairs another flight to Cielo, the rooftop bar. It’s not a huge space but there are bar stools that line the outside wall, theres’s random DJ music that played an array of music mosh-​posted together from Dr. Dre to Country to Rock. there was even a taco lady there last time I went!
TIP to the ladies: that staircase is tight, and small. so careful with wearing those super high heels. you have been warned!
Overall, it’s a very cute spot! Highly recommended for a date night.

First time being here yesterday and its actually a pretty small area. It is really cool looking down below you since it is kind of a roof top bar.
They have somewhat a large selection of cocktails and I believe it can be a pretty nice place to unwind and catch up with friends while overlooking DTLB.
The side with the best view (to the water) is probably always going to be occupied but it does have a great view. The view of the city isn’t bad as well.
Next time I’m here I want to try the tacos!

A great spot — to kick back & throw-​a few handcrafted cocktails back — a casita-​style with a panoramic open-​air view. The handsome & hustling bar is enclosed with nightly lounge music. The view and the vibe are pretty awesome, as are the libations & Mexican authentic «street fare» with culinary flare.
The view is the best overlooking Long Beach’s city lights & harbor activity, and the best to savor the casual dining — chips & ceviches, and tantalizing tacos, sampling Calabacita, Hongo, Chicharrón, & Lengua are comforting and delicious.
It’s a place to entertain, be wowed by Long Beach’s waterfront, and Cielo’s «Sky High» offerings. Head down an incredibly narrow stairway to The Sky Room & finish-​off the evening with an expertly prepared meal or decadent house-​made dessert.
It is a winning combination with cocktail happy hours on both levels. You choose the dining experience you desire here Thursdays through Sundays.
