I have been coming to code 7 for many years. They usually do a good job. I have noticed over the last couple of years the declines in the appearance of the inside of the shop and the employees may be on parole. They definitely do not take pride in there work as they used to.
The employees act as if they are doing you a favor to shine you boots /​gear.
Whatever they say regarding when they will be done is probably incorrect and unless you wait they won’t be done.
If there is another shine shop in he area I hope to find it. I also notice that they are not as busy as they used to be. There used to always be a tone of boots stacked and ready to go, and several on duty officers getting boots shined.
Haven’t seen that in a while.

I showed up with some things that needed shining. I lagged big time getting it done. They were able to shine it very well on short notice. I live pretty far, so they had it done within an hour. I’m really grateful they were able to accommodate me like that. And the prices are phenomenal.

I won’t be going to Code 7 anymore. I’ve been a customer for 16 years. That’s why I felt obligated to give ‘em 3 stars or it’d be a 1 star review! The last two times I brought my belt in. horrible. Chipped, flaked and just a complete mess. I brought it back and they were mildly interested. I gave them a chance to fix it, I had to pay for the re-​do and then the SAME OUTCOME. I’ve noticed the different vibe there, but still wanted to remain loyal. The OG guys are gone… like Auggie. I’m gone, too! SC@LGoodies!

Great quick place to stop by and get a shoe shine ! Always a nice pleasant workers and large TV with movies news or TV programs are always on while you wait. After a certain amount of visits yes you DO get a discount but either way its always a good shine !!!

Awesome services! Come here to bring my duty belt and now to get my duty boots shined up — quick service. Very chill brothers working there. Going to be interesting to see how busy it gets with the LA crew coming in. Hope it stays a solid spot. Definitely should stop in when you need it!

I am getting to the point where I wonder if all services will devolve to the sub standard quality that code 7 is.
Things I take issue with:
1. The store has claimed to have a 50% off deal every so many times you get something shined. Each time I have attempted to use this the employees don’t know how to do it.
2. My gear has never been ready when they said they would have it done by. I mean N E V E R been ready on time.
3. I just walked in here and got an ear load of music featuring the n-​word and eff this and eff that. Have some professionalism.
Things I like:
1. Generally they do a decent job shining shoes and gear.
2. Parking is easy.
Unfortunately galls seems to have lost their shoe shine folks. Of course that place has issues of its own.
Good quality service is so close here at code 7. They just need to work a tad harder.

Worst place ever. I had a promotional interview last year & dropped off my boots here to get re-​soled. They promised to have it done a day before my interview. It wasn’t. The worker offered to loan me someone else’s boots until mine were done (WTF). I of course declined that offer then I spoke to one of the owners over the phone-​he apologized. He said they’d complete the job & give me a full refund. I had to borrow a friend’s boots for the interview. When I went back to pick up the my boots the worker refused to give me the refund promised. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place Galls/​Long Beach Uniform is down the street. Go there instead.

They are horrible at conducting business there. I left a pair of dress shoes and boots at 11am yesterday to pick them up the next day at the same time. Today at 11am when I was picking them up. They were working on my dress shoes still?¿? When I got home I notice my boots were scuffed on the side and it looked as if the blow dryer they used for the polish left they worst water marks and blotches. When I was trying to pay with my debit card the workers don’t know how to work it and when they gave me my card back it was full of polish. I won’t be returning and I won’t recommend anyone to this establishment.

Excellent place to get your shoes and boots shined. Law enforcement officers goes to this place all the time to have their boots shine.
You can either have a seat and have your shoes/​boots shined or you can leave it there and pick it up the next day. Should you decide to sit and wait, Officers have priority.
They also re-​sole your shoes, boots, and heels at a reasonable price.
