Complete Women Care – Naples Island

PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS PRACTICE
I hate doing this, but this has been one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a doctor. At this point, I feel helpless, and don’t know what else I can do
I came here after recently moving to Long Beach; my previous doctor was at One Medical in LA.
I picked the practice because it was close to my home. My first appointment was scheduled for March 17. Prior to the appointment, I was surprised that I got two phone calls regarding payment, before even completing an appointment. However, I thought perhaps this was just a courtesy call, so I ignored my pessimism and went anyway.
I filled out a lot of paperwork before going in — –including an arbitration clause and financial policy. Then nurse led me into the room and reviewed almost identical questions to the forms I had just filled out. Then Dr. Zipkin came in to examine me. She reviewed the very same information. She was quick and somewhat cavalier. I figured this was due to her experience. After describing my symptoms she dismissed each as normal. By the the end of the consultation I felt like I was having to prove to her that my symptoms were real. She insisted everything was perfectly normal. She told me I should consider birth control, see if it resolves the symptoms. I was reluctant but wanted to try her suggestions.
I asked her to take a blood test anyway. I am cautious due to a family history of diabetes and thyroid problems. To her credit she told me she would, if it would make me feel better. I went into give the blood sample on March 18. On March 23, I looked at my online profile and saw there was an abnormal result on a test. I called the office as I hadn’t heard from them. They told me they could not review the result with me, the doctor would have to call me. I waited, she didn’t call me. I called back on March 25 and was told additional tests had been ordered. They wouldn’t tell me what kind. Again, I was told the doctor would have to call me back, she didn’t. I called again the morning of March 26, again no one would discuss the results of the old tests or tell me the nature of the tests that were pending. They said Dr. Zipkin would call me with this information. She didn’t call.
I called back on March 29. I was frustrated, the nurses started naming tests I’ve never heard of, I didn’t know why they had been ordered.
I was told they had the results of the new tests but the doctor had not reviewed them yet. I explained wanted to know what was going on and that I was frustrated that no one had told me the results of the first test and why additional tests were ordered. Again, I was told that I would have to wait for the doctor to call. I told them I wanted to have my my results evaluated by another doctor. One who would communicate with me more. They told me they would not release the test results until the doctor had reviewed the results and «closed them out.» I told them I would fax a waiver in any case, with the name of a new doctor.
Minutes after hanging up they called me back to let me know the Dr. Zipkin would call me that day. She didn’t call. I waited by my phone for 4 hours.
I also waited all day yesterday. This morning I called, they placed me on hold until I just hung up.
I started crying to my husband. I don’t understand why the doctor just won’t give me the results of the test. I saw an abnormal result online and I don’t know what it means. I paid them over $ 200 for my first visit and they won’t even keep me updated. I was promised a call two days ago, no call. They have my money, they have my tests, and they’ve charged my insurance.
Do I have any in recourse? Call Blue Shield to report insurance fraud? Report Dr. Zipkin to the medical board?
None of that gets me peace of mind. None of it ensures I get proper care.
You pay a premium here to get treated well. I suggest you take that payment elsewhere. They may value you more. I know it’s a long gripe. But, I’d hate to see this happen to someone else.

I have nothing but good things to say about CWC. I’ve gone through some terrible things, but the whole staff has been nothing but kind and accommodating. I’m so grateful to have found Complete Women Care.
(This office is the least aesthetically appealing. It’s small, old, shared with another office, and parking sucks. But most importantly, the people are great!)

Dr. Zipkin is awesome. It’s always a little daunting when you are trying out a new gynecologist, but Dr. Zipkin made me feel super comfortable and was very relaxed and personable. She took time and listened to what my issues were, and the whole visit was totally easy. I would highly recommend Dr. Zipkin. She is very straightforward, friendly, and caring. Maybe this is strange to say, but I actually enjoyed my exam!
The office is nice, easy parking, and stress free. It did have a bit of a wait, but I think it was because their internet/​system was down that morning. All office staff was very nice and helpful.

I just had my first appointment at CWC and was very happy with the service. Kelly was very polite and answered all of my questions at the front desk. The waiting room is really nicely decorated and clean. I only waited about 15 minutes to see the doctor. Dr. Lin was the first doctor to be straightforward with me, and she was also funny! I felt so comfortable with her. I’m definitely happy with my new choice in OBGYN!

I posted before, but I need to amend my review due to circumstances.
I called ahead to make sure that my insurance would be taken. I insisted that they check so that I wouldn’t waste a day in the office and pay a lot of money. The woman at the front assured me I would be ok.
I got to my appointment, waited around 1.5 hours to be seen, and when I was, I still had to make an appointment to get my Skyla implanted. Essentially, I wasted my morning having just a consultation with the doctor. A week later I was slapped with a 300 dollar plus bill for the appointment.
My insurance wasn’t covered afterall.
The staff doesn’t seem well-​educated, and I had to suffer the consequences.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kathy Wilson’s for a few years now, and I love her and the staff and Complete Women’s Care. Each time is a pleasant experience. Dr. Wilson takes her time and I feel welcomed each visit. My doc before Dr. Wilson was Dr. Marina Maslovaric and she was amazing too! I like the set up of each location. Well, I have only been to the Lakewood, Long Beach, and Naples offices but, they are all very nice and have a warm vibe about them makes you feel at home. Thanks to the staff and doctors of Complete Women’s Care and all that you do for your patients.

I have been a patient of Complete Women Care for 2 years now (can you believe I only saw an OBGYN when I was pregnant 21 years ago). I pretty much saw my GP for everything. Dr. Wilson is THE BEST! She is caring, concerned and very thorough with her visits in all my experiences with her. It’s easy to make an appt and the fact that they have a GYNO Urgent Care is great (I’ve already had to use it). Even though you can schedule an appt with multiple Dr’s I prefer to always go to Dr. Wilson and I will change my schedule if I need to in order to get on her schedule. I usually go to the location in LB but my last appt was at the Naples location and it’s just as nice as the LB location (bigger waiting room). The parking lot seemed a bit small but I parked on the side so there might have been another area for parking that I wasn’t aware of.

I have been a patient of Complete Women Care for about 4 years. I have worked with a few doctors and had a wonderful experience. For my recent visit I was able to easily make an appointment the week before. I saw Dr. Lin for the first time, and she was wonderful. I needed paperwork completed for work, and they made it very easy as well as with my prescriptions. I travel from Huntington to Long Beach to stay with Complete Women Care.

Complete women care is the place to go!
if you like to feel comfortable in your doctors office then this is your place! Dr. Mackovic is a wonderful doctor she knows what she is doing. she has a wonderful and welcoming personality and is always willing to go out of her way for her patients.

The staff and doctors are very friendly and accomodating here. I felt very comfortable with Dr. Wilson. She explains everything and has answers to all your questions. The front desk staff are kind and helfpul as well. The office is very clean and well-​kept.

I’ve been going here for years and I’ve always had a great experience. Great doctors!

I love the staff and Drs! I feel very welcomed in this Drs office. I love that it’s all woman and no men. If your looking for a great dr/​clean office/​friendly staff this is the place to go: D

I’m just going to say I’ve never been to an office with all woman. I’m so happy that I can walk into this office and feel completely comfortable! Staff, Drs, nurses and ultrasound technicians are amazing. I’m very pleased with the service I receive every time I pay a visit to this office! Highly recommended: D

I was referred to Dr Lin by my doc. Dr Lin was pretty helpful. She explained my condition in depth and made me feel at ease. She was ready to go out of her way to work with my schedule and insurance for a procedure she recommended. She’s simply the best Gynecologist out there!!!

HIPPA has made life much more difficult than it needs to be for myself and my family, and for you too I’m sure. If not, it will — and the unprofessional confusion of this facility certainly complicated my future appointments.
This office, one of 3, now wants to charge me an additional $ 25 to pick up MY procedure report copies.
Two weeks ago I had asked the reports be sent ahead to referral doctor. Only to find out by ME calling back, they only fax to primary.
Great! What happened to a call back? Follow thru?
I haven’t even gotten to the appointment part–
* No name tags on technicians who are going to do a pelvic ultrasound, or none on other techs in the office.
* Post scan, my abdomen is left a field of gel that I now have to use the paper blanket to wipe off — because Espinoza failed to offer me some tissues.
* Post scan, Espinoza fails to remove the metal extenders, that I’ve now racked my legs on turning sideways to get down.
* Post scan, Espinoza doesn’t bother to assist getting off of the step stool.
* Post scan, they don’t offer me word one on how they will follow up.
Jump forward now to my follow up with primary — where I downloaded the experience to that office.
MIND YOU — I still don’t have copies of my reports.
According to CWC — I will have to ask the new referral doctors office to fax my signature while standing there.
So much for efficiency — professionalism — or even the Dr code of compassion. When they say «hairs on fire» I can promise you, not only the hair but my eyeballs were too!

Kind, compassionate, professional, above and beyond care. So thankful for this dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and staff.

I know it’s weird to say you enjoy going to see you gynecologist, but I really do! Dr. Wilson is very competent and knowledgable, but also super friendly and easy to talk to. She does my yearly exam and inserted my IUD. I trust her completely and recommend every lady out there to switch to Dr. Wilson!!!

I’ve been going here for years. Dr. Lin is amazing. I recommend her to all of our friends. The staff is great, the medical center is really nice and clean. It’s in the same location as Dr. Norcross, a general practicioner who is also the best dr.

This place has great Doctors but a long wait. Appointments do not run on time. The parking here is a disaster. Seriously come early and bring something to do. They run two offices here. A medical office and the Gynocologist. Waiting area can be packed from medical office. They really should move this office. Not fun if your on a schedule.
