Giving Devry/​Keller a 1 is being too generous. The school is over priced, and none of the teachers truly know their stuff. I felt like I bought a $ 50,000.00 MBA. All you need to do to get a passing grade is to show up, and attempt the assignments. Keller Devry students are maily comprised of military people that are taking advantage of education benefits, people from out of the country who don’t know Keller/​Devry is a sham, and Cal State and UC rejects. Had I known then what I know now…

Love this place the parking lot is next to the runway for LB airport. You can go and hang out for hours and see the plains land and take off. Or at least I know I can the other day they had a F15 take off from there. Think the best to date was the B2 now that was awesome.

I will give it 5 stars, because the school does not really have a part of it. It is up to what the person does with the education received. If you are really ambitious you will succeed and go far no matter what you do. Pursue it. If other people had bad experiences it is because they either like to complain and blame something for the reason it did not work. If it did not, do not just sit around Unilocaling actually do something. Do not let guidance hold your hand all the time. It gets the same accreditation as a Cal State school, just functions differently. Quit complaining and get to it! It is not the school, it is the person. Steve Jobs did not finish college neither did Bill Gates, and look where they are at now. Does not matter where you go, education will always be education. My experience with DeVry University was a positive experience and I do believe it is in part due to my approach and how I handled each situation.
I do recommend DeVry University, but you should do your own due diligence.

Waste of time and money.
You don’t have to try at all to get a 3.5+ gpa. However, I do know a classmate who aced every single exam and somehow manage to get a B in class. (Sociology).
The professors here are not all that bad. Most of them teach at several other Universities or State College. There are a few that really don’t care. My Psychology professor for example, gave everyone an «A» in their report w/​o evening reading it. She just looked at the cover, gave us an «A» and that was it. LOL
Another main issue I have is that most of the classes I took are not transferable. I can understand why because some of classes we are required to take are pretty useless.
I didn’t have to pay to attend this University as I qualified for Cal Grant and Financial Aid. The only time I would have to pay is if I attended the Summer Classes. (Which is the trick they use to say that «you can graduate in 3 ½ years».
With that said, I should have went directly to CSULB. Heck, I was already accepted at CSULB but for some reason, I decided to go to DeVry to get some «info» and was tricked into signing an application. Wasted 2 years here and it’s something I want to erase from my history.
This school is not worth mentioning in your resume. I worked as an Accountant part-​time and my boss tells me that he rejects any resume which list DeVry in their Education. He has had several bad experiences from hiring people from DeVry University.
Let’s just say that DeVry so-​called «Hands on Training» does not prepare you for the real world. And their «Hands on Training» is basically a computer lab where you can go online and waste 3 hours browsing facebook.
Some people may have lucked out and somehow manage to find a great job. But for the most part, this school will not land you a career. I know a few still working at the Office Depot warehouse with their Business Degree.

Don’t know why I’m posting this review late but here it goes:
Oh DeVry, you failed me. I failed DeVry, I failed it too.
–My recruiter told me that DeVry credits transfer to other colleges. Lies.
–Guidance counselors are next to useless… True
–Expensive…Duh that is true
Why I came here:
Went here because I didn’t realize all you need is an Associates in Science at a community college to transfer to a CSU school. Oh well, I wasted a year an half to two years here. So from Fall 2006−2008ish. I had my first night class here too which I was asleep.
Money:
–I didn’t qualify for financial aid for some reason. Probably a good thing because the school would bent me over and stuck a huge debt up my ass where the sun don’t shine.
–I paid by cash thank you very much and I heard people still paying out of their asses to repay their loans. I didn’t take out a loan from their sorry ass.
Teachers:
–I had one good teacher who taught operating systems.
–There was another teacher I didn’t like. When I was failing C++ and told him I was transferring to CSU, I think he scolded me for that because I was going to a much better school than a pile of crap school.
–Another teacher had a heavy polish accent that taught Statistics. I spent my of my time flirting with the Cambodian girl that sat next to me since that teacher was so boring and hard to understand.
Misc and students and people:
I got a few friends that went here too. Two graduated and one of my friend’s husband didn’t. One of them went to Cal (UC Berkeley) and then here because of some reason or another.
Guys, if you’re looking for hot girls to hook up with well you better turn around and jump across the 405 freeway and apply to CSULB cause that is where they’re at. For 15 guys here, there is one girl.
Also I agree with Ninja, if you do make it to graduation you’re be okay. But be warned about coming here.
Overall, just go to a community college and transfer to a REAL University.

This school is utter shit, they just want your money. I am currently enrolled and I’ll tell you now as long as you show up and «TRY» a little bit you will pass. I am currently an Honor student… how the fuck did that happen? lol
Do not waste your money. Going the traditional university route is longer but I promise you well worthed.

What can I say besides that I go there.

The only criteria for getting into this «Univeristy» is suitable credit score. I graduated from here in 2000 and it has been an adversity that I have had to over come. The name stinks up your resume. I have had interviewers tell me «your resume looks great but DeVry?» If you are intelligent and a hard worker you will make it, but this degree is not worth the cash you are going to spend on it. Do yourself a favor and go to a college with a reputation that will help you, not hinder you.

My son enrolled here thinking that he can finish in 3 ½ yrs or less. We filled out loan forms and was told my son can only take 10 units with the Federal unsubsidized and subsidized loan. So, we told the counselor, the finance officer, the student service that we will fill the gap by enrolling at a community college. Maybe just the general ed classes. Nobody told us until last night by one of the student services that the units my son took at a community college may not be approved by the University because it is the «POLICY». So I asked, if we have signed something in writing about the policy and why nobody told us in the first place that he can only take 8 units per semester and that he cannot go to any other school. Taking 8 units will take him 10yrs at Devry so it totally wasted our time and money from start to now. If we have known, we wouldn’t have enrolled. So now my son is frustrated and lost directions and does not know where to go now. So you people out there be careful because if you cannot afford $ 580 per unit up to 11 units and $ 340 on the 12^th unit and up, then it will be a waste of time. My son now owes the Federal loan for at least $ 10,000 for 9 units last summer 2010 and 8 units for Fall 2010. Their policy is hidden, not posted anywhere, not explained. I don’t know what other policies they have because no one gave us anything in writing or have signed agreement about different policies. Totality, maybe we need to speak to a legal counsel to pay back the Federal loan. Even if we win, my son just wasted 2 semesters of his career at this University with Hidden agenda.

I graduated from DeVry in 2008. Like any college, there are good professors and some that are not so good. If you go to class every day, participate in class discussions, and complete all homework assignments you will do just fine. In fact, you will probably get an A in every class. Your college education is what you make of it. For the price your paying, you better make it worth it. I came across many students just wasting their time and their parents money going there. I knew exactly what I was signing up for when I enrolled and I was going to get what I paid for (still paying for). This meant, talking to teachers after class and getting DeVry to work for Me. Today, I am working in IT at Southern California Edison. If your not ready to be serious about your life, go to a community college.

I went to school and graduated here. I think some of the teachers are great, and some have no business teaching.
The school’s curriculum is not intensive, and a lot of the students who go here are morons and… well…useless in life. The students who make it to graduation, are ok people. As long as they have a 3.5GPA or above, they tried. Anyone with below a 3.5GPA and went to these schools are utter idiots, and should have wasted their money and lives going to a community college until they were ready to get serious.
Anyways, I graduated back in 2003, I currently have a pretty good position with IBM as a project manager, and I think I’ve done better than many others from tradition colleges, but most of it was ME.
As long as you’re a hard and competent worker, and NETWORK, you will do well in life where ever you go.
As far as DeVry is concerned, well, you can go to school somewhere else, pay less, and have better school name recognition, and more people to network with. If you’re a hard worker, go to a traditional University (Cal State, UC, etc)
