Diane’s Beachwear

Their sales associates on the floor are all really helpful. They always offer to start a fitting room as soon as you pick out suits, but Dianes seems to never have my size in the brands I love, such as Mikoh and Acacia. I am an xs or small, and they seem to never have these in stock. Only Large and xtra large. Also their return policy is only a 10 days. I came back a month after I bought a suit (Still in the bag with the tags and receipt) and they did not let me return OR exchange. So now I’m stuck with a $ 110 bathing suit that I will never wear.

So I went in about 2 weeks ago. All I can say is.
1. Huge selection of merchandise. Very pretty
2. Friendly staff
These are the 2 reasons I gave them 2 stars.
Now the bad:
1. Extremely extremely extremely extremely overpriced. I bought 2 bikini tops and 1 bottom and it cost $ 265!!! Yep. Well it was my fault. I fell in love with this one too and didn’t check the price before I purchased it. $ 150 for that 1 top!!! When I saw the price when I went back to my car and ask to return it. They said they just give store credit. Wow! Only after 3 minutes of being gone? I mean literally 3 minutes.
Yes then don’t give refunds only store credit. It is their way of keeping the customer’s money for overpriced items. But like I said it was my fault for not checking the price. The merchandise was beautiful. I went to target and saw the same one for $ 15 ugh!!!
They are to you nicely before you buy, but once bought and try to return or exchange… Gosh. Like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde type of deal.
Never again.
This store caters to the rich. Extremely rich. Oh and smaller sized women.
I’m not a plus size. I’m a curvy size 4. But it was difficult Finding me a size

Giving them one star kills me. My sister and I went in there yesterday and disappointed is an understatement. There were 2 other people in the store and Olivia wanted absolutely nothing to do with us. We picked out several suits and she FINALLY asked if I needed a dressing room after acknowledging that I was fumbling trying not to drop them all. She didn’t ask if we needed any help, just grabs the suits and hangs them in a dressing room. So we look around for a couple more minutes then headed to try them on. After standing at the dressing room for a few minutes waiting to tell her I was ready we finally had to walk up to her and tell her I was ready to try on the suits and ask which room she hung them in. She says «third room» and goes back to chatting away. There was a girl in the dressing room next to me that Olivia came and checked on TWICE. Not once did she ask if I needed another size or how I was doing. Good thing I brought my sister with me because she went and grabbed me different sizes. While she was helping me another employee came around 3 times, each time showing her frustration that my sister was in her path and of course never once offered any assistance. After I decided on a suit I took it up to the front and Olivia FINALLY acknowledged our existence and asked if I was ready to pay, once again didn’t ask how everything went in the dressing room. She had absolutely no idea how to ring us up and had to have her equally rude coworker help her. After she fumbled around and finished ringing us up there was no thank you for shopping with us or anything.
I WOULD NOT recommend this store at all. I just hope they do not work on commission because I don’t want that girl to make a cent off of my purchase.

Purchasing a bathing suit let alone two bathing suits was far from my plan. Summer is just around the corner and I will eventually have to purchase a bathing suit but I wasn’t sold on making the commitment anytime soon. A good friend’s suggestion led me to Diane’s and trying out bikinis was not going to hurt.
The store is filled with bathing suits from ceiling to floor with each section being a specific brand. It isn’t the largest store but they had a wide variety of different styles, prints, cuts and material.
The prices can be on the expensive end of the spectrum which dampers the shopping experience a tad bit but I was able to find pieces that I found reasonable. I purchased two bikini tops and two bottoms for less than $ 200. I love how they fit and I feel comfortable in them which isn’t normal for me and swimwear.
Courtney was the lovely girl that helped me and she was amazing! She was SO attentive but not overbearing! She knew her swimwear! I was having some trouble with finding the proper size for a top and deciding on the style for the bottom. Courtney helped me with all the questions I had and when I needed a different size, she was there to get it for me. She was incredible and I highly recommend seeking her help!
They don’t do refunds and exchanges/​store credits will be honored within 10 days of purchase.
My experience was very pleasant and I can’t wait to wear my tops and bottoms!

Always great service here and very friendly staff. I went in today to look around particularly for a romper and a new bikini since I finally lost 22 pounds I decided it’s time to treat myself… The girls there always offer great advice and give me the confidence I need to feel comfortable in my own skin. Thanks for always making a woman of any size feel beautiful!

I’ve been to Diane’s Swimwear twice, but it was my first time at this particular location.
This location seemed kind of small to me. Their swimwear selections were not that great. I didn’t have the WOW experience. Everything there were expensive.
There were only two staff and both were busy with someone and I didn’t want to be rude and start asking them questions. So I was just walking around looking at their selections. Then a couple of girls walked in with some signs, so I’m guessing they’re co-​workers either will be taking over or had just came back from some event/​promotion for their store; staff started talking to each other and totally ignored our presence. REALLY?!
I basically left the store without purchasing anything. My friend on the other hand bought a hat, which I thought was pretty pricey.
I would not return to this location.

So I have to say, I am a pretty nice girl and was just treated like I was trying to take advantage of each of the associates personally. I was given a swimsuit as a gift and it was definitely never going to fit. I know I should have returned it sooner, but life gets busy. I went into the store and the girl looked so offended and was completely rude about returning it past the 10 day policy. I wasn’t looking for a refund, just a store credit or anything (I would have taken the sale price). I spend so much money at that place anyways, plus what use is a $ 200 swimsuit that doesn’t fit. She told me to call Corporate in which I spoke to Alison, who was equally as rude.
I am pretty reasonable about not returning items or following rules, so I get the policy. But the attitude is what will make me never return to this store or recommend it to anyone.

Maddie really impressed me! She was determined to find me a swimsuit and worked hard to do so! She had great taste, and I ended up finding a suit I loved! Before she started helping me, I was not so happy with my experience. The other girls were not nearly as friendly and helpful.

I fell in love with this store! Bikini shopping is always a chore but this place made it so easy! Here you’re allowed to mix and match bikini tops and bottom sizes to make your perfect set! The sale associates are so helpful and make it a fun experience. Shalyn and Mikayla provided excellent customer service. They made the shopping effortless, but weren’t pushy at all. Ladies I know their bikinis are a bit pricey, but when you’re out at the pool with a high quality, stylish bikini it’s so worth it. A perfect mix of classy and sexy.

Mikayla was the best! I went in without my wallet because I swore I wouldn’t buy anything. She made sure I was ok looking around and if I had something on mind. She was nothing but helpful and not at all pushy. She was so helpful in fact, I ended up in the fitting room with a few swimsuits and she continued to show me more options in similar styles to find the best suits for me. I left with the 3 cutest swimsuits and will be back soon for more!

Really disappointed In the awful experience I had at this location a few months ago. I got a bikini for my birthday as a gift that didn’t fit, I tried to exchange it 11 days later (tags still attached and receipt). The girl working the floor told me unfortunately there was nothing she could do because they have a new policy where they can not exchange after 10 days. She asked the manger right in front of me if there was anything they could do for me and the manager (small brunette girl) would not even look at me and said nope and walked away leaving the sales girl very awkward. I was speechless because I’m a regular at this location and i never thought i would just be dismissed like that. So I left and drove to the Huntington Beach location and received the best service ever from the manager! She is a gem and took such great care of me! I aways shop at Diane’s and have spent a lot of money there but I will never walk into this location again.

This place was great.
Came here with my mom to find her a suit.
The adorable saleswoman was attentive w/​o being pushy and found her some suits and coverups to try on based on my moms requirements (one piece, good to cover large chest, secure when doing activities).
The whole experience was incredibly positive and fun, which usually isn’t the way bathing suit shopping ends up.
Can’t wait until I need a new one, I’m totally coming here.

I love Diane’s as a chain, but found that a lot of the size smalls were gone here and needed to go to the Huntington Beach location.

I’m one of those older Gen-​Xers desperately trying to convince myself that I can still rock a bikini. After losing 17 lbs over the last 9 months, I thought what the hell, it’s time for a bikini makeover to replace the one I bought 8 years ago.
Since Belmont Shore seemed more promising as a bikini-​shopping mecca than Sacramento, I stopped into Diane’s over the weekend since I was back in town on a visit. I expected the cute, perky millennial gal to blow me off for younger, hipper, tauter customers, but was pleasantly surprised by her cheery readiness to assist.
My gal (sorry, didn’t catch your name) was seriously helpful, ran back several times to get me different sizes, and even said she would bring me a much cuter bikini than the one I first picked. She was awesome — my own personal bikini consultant. And you know what? Because she was so cool and made this kind-​of, almost-​hardbody feel like I SHOULD be in a bikini, and that the world DESERVES to see me in a bikini, I spent more on tiny pieces of spandex than anyone should ever really pay.
A serious 1^st-​world problem was solved this afternoon. Thank you, Diane’s and perky, bikini-​purchase facilitator.

Bikini shopping is definitely not on the top of my list of fun ways to spend my day. But I left Diane’s today feeling really good. The selection of suits was great. Even better was the exceptional customer service. The two young sales girls were beyond helpful. They were both very honest in their opinions of the suits I was trying on and without being pushy or aggressive, made several suggestions for suit types and styles that I normally wouldn’t have made but ended up working great. I will definitely be making this Diane’s my one stop shopping for all suits and cover ups. A+++++ customer service for sure.

I called in looking for a sarong wrap & Katrina was super sweet. I went in to go see what she had & she had put a few things on hold for me. While I was there she was so nice, helpful & talkative. When other customers came in she greeted them warmly. She sugested other items to me. This is the type of salesperson I would want working for me. I’m definately going back because the experience is so nice. Customer service like this is not as common as it should be. Thanks Katrina!

I had a great experience tonight at Diane’s. And often times no one posts positive comments.
This place is clean, has a great selection, and most importantly to me the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Megan gave me several options all great for my body type. She knew what she was talking about and not pushy in any way.
I left with a great swimsuit! I will definitely refer friends and family here.

Perhaps one of the most difficult pieces of clothing to shop for is a bathing suit. (Jeans being a close second)
Fit is everything! Maybe your hips are wide, your boobs are small or way too big, your thighs are chunky, your butt is flat, maybe your shoulders are broad… don’t we all have some flaw that drives us insane? Well there’s not a lot you can do with a swimsuit to camouflage that hot mess.
I had the added pressure of trying to find a bathing suit in November. They’re hard to find in the off season, but Hawaii is calling!
One of the last places on my long journey was Diane’s. I was reluctant to stop at a specialty shop because I just can’t justify spending $ 100 for a bathing suit that I won’t wear that often. Oh but the bargains you find in the off season is hard to beat! I got a $ 60 suit for $ 18 on clearance! The selection here is really great and I was told that this is one of their smaller stores. (The big one is in Huntington Beach)
I want to make a special shout-​out to Danielle who was super-​helpful and made lots of suggestions. She even dared me to try on a bikini top, something I would never dare do with my ‘girls’ but it worked wonderfully. They have separates in a wide range of sizes that will accommodate any size boobie. :) Oh, they also carry all the accessories for the beach, sunglasses, hats, sandals, cover-​ups, etc…
There are lots little incentives and discounts to get you to come back and spend more, so if I should need another bikini in December, I’ll be back. All I need now is a tan.
