Dr. Don Atkins is a Southern California resident who is pleased to have served the dental needs of families in Long Beach over the past 30 years. As a graduate of USC School of Dentistry and after having completed a mini-​residency at UCLA in Dental Sleep Medicine, he is well trained to offer the latest techniques in dentistry spanning from basic exams through comprehensive cosmetic and restorative procedures.

Dr. Atkins takes his dentistry very seriously, and works extremely hard to stay current with the latest procedures, materials and dental-​related health issues. I have been seeing Dr Atkins for almost 20 years. I went today after not seeing dentist for a couple years. His hygienist was awesome. She did a great job cleaning my teeth then Dr Atkins came in and did a full checkup. He is such a good dentist. Went through every tooth with a HD mouth camera. He explained everything and truly cares about his patients. He is not a dentist that comes in for 5 minutes and checks x rays then leaves. He will spend time until your comfortable. Reasonable cash price!

Don and his staff are great! I had received some news from another dentist that I needed to have a lot of dental work done, due to acid erosion and grinding. I wasn’t sure who to trust and I heard great things about Don, so I made an appointment with him. He took x-​rays and magnified photos of my teeth to show me where work needed to be done. He was honest and straightforward with me. Being able to see the damage myself made it easier for me to make the decision to work on my teeth. He also worked with me on paying for the work through my insurance. I wanted to get the work done quickly and, even though there was a lot of work to do, we got it all done in a couple of months. He was also very diligent about watching for my pain level. Dental work can be very painful for me, but Don was very gentle. He always made sure that I was numb enough and I couldn’t even feel the shot when he gave it to me. Even though getting cosmetic dentistry can be rough, Don and his staff made it much more comfortable for me.
