After placing my final invitation order(and spending around $ 1000 with this shop in total) the owner was rude when i called with a question about invitation RSVP etiquette(I mean, the store is called Fine Writings). I needed to order more invitations(translation– spend more $$) and the elderly clerk was quite rude to me when i called to order them, and no one at the store returned my attempts for contact when i wanted to verify my order. I needed to verify my order because i didn’t trust that rude clerk who took my order. FYI– i called once, then next day i sent an email, then next day sent a fax of the email i wrote(i just wanted to verify my order and possibly order custom signs for the tables– meaning spend more $$). I got no response. I want to explain that I only called once(then sent email and fax) because it was so obvious that my call was not welcome. No customer should ever be made to feel like this! The owner was actually irritated and angry when my wedding planner called 4 days later to follow up with why no one had called me. My planner was horrified by the way the owner spoke to her on the phone– yelling that I had already called her SIX times and she had already verified my order. BTW– after the planner called, still no one called me, and for the record, when I got my order(i sent my fiancé in to pick it up) it was wrong! Perhaps if someone had called me… Basic guidelines for running a business is to be polite, return phone calls, and accommodate your customers. Also, I remembered those times she talked about other customers in front of me when i was in her shop choosing my save the dates and invitations. She made snide comments under her breath about someone every time I was there! In retrospect that was so unprofessional and was a red flag! I’ll bet they were not Bridezillas. Just regular customers. In fairness my invitations were beautiful! I loved them! And not everyone in the shop was rude. Just the owner and the old lady. There were two sales gals that were nice/helpful, however, I would not not recommend this vendor to any bride. Planning a wedding is a very stressful time(especially when you are ordering your invitations because it is a time sensitive project). This crap is the last thing you need. For the price(and its pricey) you can definitely do better at another paper source or web site, and will be treated much better! Thank you for reading my review. I feel better now and hope I save you some money and grief.

After 30 years together, David and I finally were able to set a date and get married. We recalled seeing finewritings at the Marketplace and decided to give them a try. We were their first gay couple for getting married and we were so welcomed. The staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. Everything was completed even before the date the invitations were supposed to be ready. We have sent our friends there and they too have had an awesome experience. Can’t say enough about the staff, their professionalism and friendliness; they are the best!
