Excellent restaurant. I’ve had their cheeseburger, wet burrito, and tacos. People working here are always friendly. Anywho, my favorite thing to get here is definitely the burrito. When I crave a wet burrito, I come here. Always leave satisfied.

This place… Because of a recommendation I come into this place and order some Asada Cheese Fries. I love Carne Asada, I love cheese, and French fries are my jam. Heck. Yes. I order, get my food, and get home. I open my stryofoam container and there they are… they were beautiful. I nearly shed a tear from their beauty. I grab my fork and dig in… here’s where my excellent day took a turn for the worst. I’ll describe the three main ingredients. — The Fries. These are extremely important to this dish, let me tell you they were the best part. The were crispy, and soft and they were perfectly seasoned. 10⁄10 — The Carne Asada The meat was seasoned very well, a little to tangy for my taste but overall tasted great. My issue here is they didn’t remove the fat before throwing them on top of the loveliest bed of fries I’ve had in a while. It was kind of like playing minesweeper. You needed to make sure you got actual meat and not the chewy fat. 7⁄10 — The Cheese Before I start I love cheese. I consider cheese to be the one thing that can make anything better. Pasta? Add Cheese. Burger? Add Cheese. That nasty cholesterol pill you need from all the cheese you eat? Add Cheese. But what this place called cheese is insulting. Have you ever bought that pre-shredded imitation cheese from the dollar store? No? Well that’s what this tasted like. It was the nastiest cheese I’ve ever had the misfortune of eating. It wasn’t as melty as it should’ve been… in fact it was grainy. Cheese isn’t supposed to be grainy, and the parts that had melted had the consistency of snot. −10÷10 This cheese owes me an apology.

I love this place. I’ve have been living near this restaurant since it opened up. It is owned by an amazing family. You have to try their asada Nacho fries. It’s a layer of seasoned fries followed by beans and carne asada, and topped with melted cheese, avocado sour cream and tomatoes! You’ve got to try them !!!

Food is bomb and so reasonable. The huevos rancheros are very good and by far one of the best ham & cheese omelets I’ve had in this type of restaurant. Try this place!

Carna Asada Fries are B O M B !!! I’ve driven by this place so many times and didn’t think much because of the not so attractive exterior, but my friend told me they have great food so I had to try! I was pleased to discover they have a little parking lot behind their store with a spot just for me(yesssss)! I was gonna go for the CARNEASADA fries and actually«upgraded» to their NACHOCARNEASADAFRIES and I was totally blown away. Super bomb! They were on point and I was stuffed! Definitely got a bang for my buck! The waitress even threw in my refills for free on the Agua de Piña! I gave four starts because although the food was great and the customer service not too bad(for me), I think they need to paint the outside or do something cuz it’s pretty ugly. The inside is ok. Thanks Gabriel’s Burgers! I’ll be back! :)

I dont know what the other Unilocalers are talking about! I thought the food was great and especially for the price! I love it! I got the steak and egg breakfast for only $ 6.99. The hasbrowns were simply delicious! The potatoes were thinly shredded, cooked in butter, lightly seasoned. With a fork full is a slight crunch from the sizzle when grilling! I sound greedy! So, will i recommend this place? definitly! Just one reason why they didnt get 5 stars is because the little lady thinks she slick, and feels she will be charging me for a refil, but she has another thing coming!

I normally don’t like to give negative reviews but sometimes I just have to. So I came into this place with my gf for lunch and had a seat at a booth. The place was nicely decorated and their menu was displayed around the room with pictures which I found useful. After a few minutes the waitress came handed us menus and came back a few minutes later to take our order. We were glad there wasn’t very many people at all since we were hungry and wanted to get our food quickly. After a few minutes we noticed people walking in and ordering food to go and receiving their food before us. Then after maybe 20 minutes of waiting or so a different waitress comes up to our table and asks if someone had taken our order and we explained the other lady had taken our order about 20 minutes ago. The lady asked for our order again so she could«check up» on it and immediately we knew our order had never been placed. The order came back 5 minutes later and the food was nothing special at all. It tasted like something that could be cooked at home. Btw we never received any type of apology or anything.

Every time we eat here, we get great service and our food is ready pretty fast. Today, not so much. First of all, the tables were all dirty. Second, the waitress took forever to bring us the menus. Once we ordered our drinks, it took another 10 minutes to get them! We ordered our food and in about 30 minutes, they brought every bodies plates except for my husbands(he ordered the mariscos molcajete), his took another 30 minutes! When they finally brought his food, everybody at the table was already done eating –_– I would understand if they were busy but it was empty! WTF? I really hope this is the last time we get this kind if service. We really like this place and it’s affordable prices, maybe it was just our bad luck today? IDK…

My first time eating here, I ordered the carne asada plate and it was ok. Wouldn’t order it again. One thing I did like was they deliver for a $ 2 fee however if the order is over $ 20 delivery is free. A lot of the meat was really chewy which I hate. My bf ordered the burger special which he wasn’t impressed with.

I haven’t tried most of the menu yet. Currently I have the itch for some nachos. I tried their quesadillas and that was good. And the carne asada burrito was hard on the rice investment, and exporting more of the beef! The time it takes the short order cook is the most frustrating. So plan ahead once you get used to the place and call in your order.

The food is good not the best but it’s good love there nacho fries but they are rather slow sometimes and if you want to delivery may have to call more than once but all in all try it and see for yourselfs

Pros: Open during holidays and late. Cons: It gives you an unclean feeling, it’s not in the best location, and the food is alright. Irving’s Experience: I came new year day 2010 because the options are scarce during that day and it was just average. It now has a new owner and it was revamped from what it was, which was a diner but now more of a sit down restaurant. It’s still give off that older dirty feeling though. It’s okay. Conclusion: This place is average and they do have good specials especially for families but I guess I’ll only come if I’m really desperate or lazy to go drive or ride anywhere else.

Based on food only this place is a 5 star. Small parking lot out back. It can get stuffy inside.

I have given this place too many chances. I order over the phone and when I get my order it’s wrong or not delivered within the time frame that they promise. Today was the last straw. I ordered a breakfast burrito without hash brown The guy said okay but once I received more hash browns than anything else inside the burrito! The guy that took my order was very argumentative and said that I didn’t. No disrespect to my Spanish speaking friends but this guy barely spoke English so how would he know what I ordered??? My point is, let someone that’s more fluent answer take the orders because that may cut down on the confusion.

Don’t forget to bring a tableside camode. You’ll need it about 4 bites in to your meal. I ordered a breakfast burrito and have never regretted any decision more than this one. I ate 1⁄3 of my burrito and got a massive stomach ache. Explosive diarrhea ensued directly after eating it. Not only that… but it took an HOUR to get my food AND they forgot part of my order. All in all, I hope this place closes real soon.

Their staff is friendly. But they need to LISTEN to what their customers want. I specifically said«Pancakes and Eggs with Hashbrown on the side» the lady that took my order repeated it to me twice and of course, hearing what I wanted, I nodded. Some other lady charged me. I took it to go and when I got home, ready to eat my breakfast… there are no sausages! Like WTF!!! Where are the sausages??? I call and the lady has the nerve to tell me that I had said«Pancake and eggs with hashbrown instead of sausage». Then she said she charged me for no sausages at all so if i want them I have to go back and buy them but they’re going to give to me for half off. Um no! I want my sausage, my hashbrown, my pancake, AND my eggs all in one price ALL at one time. Customer service is key in a restaurant people. And I don’t mean to sound like a fatass but… I was really looking forward to eating my breakfast.

Why eat a burrito at a burger joint, you ask? This is Long Beach, some of the best burritos are found in burger joints. Gabriel’s a combo Mexican and Burger joint, not unusual. What is unusual is they have goat meat burritos on the menu. Wow, tender goat meat in a spicy sauce(Wet), topped with melted cheese and mucho slices of avocados. I ate till I was in a coma. Next time? I’ll have a burger.

For about the 6 years that I’ve lived in my neighbor hood this I’ve witnessed this place go through a transformation… at First it was this Mexican place that happened to serve some American food called«Playa los Cocos» which means Coconut beach, about a little over a year it went through some ownership changes and was known as «Yahualicas» I think that’s how you spell it… than a few years back it changed owner again… than it went from a Mexican Place to a Burger place with a Mexican touch… not that I’m complaining… now that we’re done with the history lesson. let’s get to the food. now when you come to this place it’s sometimes a hit and miss type thing… sometimes certain dishes will be great, and others you’ll kinda regret ordering them. The burgers are usually good, and so are the fries. the staff is usually friendly… well at least the owner is, some of the waitresses could defiantly use some improvement, The younger, English speaking waitresses usually get your order right, some of the others well… don’t also some of the waitresses I’ve noticed are kind of lazy. I walked in one day and it looked like someone trashed the place, there were napkins and dirty dishes on almost all of the tables, and it was a pretty slow day I was the only customer there, the waitress was sitting at the counter doing nothing. it wasn’t until I asked her if she can clean my table when she began doing some work… not only that but she got my order wrong. this place deserves a 3 star rating but I’m adding a star because it’s in a Convenient location for me.
