Harold C Ochsner Jr, MD

I’ve been seeing Dr. Ochsner for at least 8– or 9 years… initially for his specialty as an allergist, but he is just so wonderfully ‘old-​fashioned’ (in every best sense of the word), that I adopted him as my Doctor of Record through my several changes of health insurance.
Dr. Ochsner is straight out of ‘central casting’ for the quintessential small-​town physician… a slightly-​gruff, non-​nonsense exterior cloaks a compassionate, ‘the patient comes first’ medical mind. He takes as much time as he needs with each patient (so don’t get crabby if the prior patient’s appointment runs a little long — you’ll get full service at your time-​slot — we current patients accept this).
His charming wife runs the office & billing, and treats the patients like long-​time friends (which many of them are).
His office can be a little hard to locate — it’s on the ground-​floor, south-​east corner of a stocky little medical arts building on the east side of Bellflower Blvd — about 1−½ blocks north of the 405 fwy.
