I am a big sissy for dental offices. When i first walked in, you feel welcomed by the receptionist and the vibe. Loved how Dr Vu explained in detailed every question i had. So did the assistant. Def. feel comfortable here and i trust Dr Vu to start and finish my upcoming work ups!

Dr. VU id the most honest, nice and caring dentist dr i met. Been with her since 2005. She treats me and my kids and now my new generation family…

I have been seeing Dr. Vu since my now husband’s very enthusiastic recommendation about 6 years ago. I had had a prior horrible experience with Western Dental and wish I would’ve known about Dr. Vu sooner! She and her staff are very warm and friendly and Dr. Vu is always excited to see me. I kinda feel like part of the fam there lol I have had numerous teeth cleanings, X-​rays and even a root canal with Dr. Vu. Until about 2 years ago, I paid out of pocket since I didn’t have dental insurance and her prices are very reasonable. I had been to a dentist before in a more upscale location that charged around $ 500 just for X-​rays and a white filling. I was ticked! Dr. Vu is WAY more reasonable. One time, she even buffed out some chips and unevenness that I had in my two front teeth at no extra charge! That was so nice of her & it looked WAY better afterward. The only thing is, you usually have to book appointments a couple weeks in advance because she’s obviously got a great clientele going and she’s busy BUT I just called right now for a wisdom tooth growing in that just started really hurting me yesterday and her staff was able to squeeze me in tomorrow for a small $ 30 emergency fee which I will gladly pay so I don’t have to be in pain all this holiday weekend. In regards to another Unilocalers complaint that she talks («gossips» was his word) with her assistant the whole time, I admit she is chatty but never takes her eyes off what she is doing and she OBVIOUSLY knows what she is doing. After having been to her numerous times, she has never messed up or done less than excellent work. I never worry about the outcome when I’m in Dr. Vu’s hands. Bottom line: I love Dr. Vu!

I have been a patient of Dr Vu for over 13 years and I love her and her staff they are awesome, visiting them only once is not enough time for anyone to form an opinion. Get to know them like anything else and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

This was by far the worst teeth cleaning experience of my life. It was incredibly painful but fortunately only lasted a few minutes. How she got my teeth cleaned in that short time I’ll never know but I didn’t care, I ran out of that place as quickly as I could. The dentist showed no care or concern while she was working on my teeth. The assistant was nice but essentially poured water all over the bottom half of my face while she was rinsing my mouth out. I mostly blame the shotty equipment but it weird nonetheless. I don’t understand the positive reviews but I’m glad not everyone shared the same horrific experience.

My daughter and I are new to Dr. Vu. My daughter had a very bad experience with our prior dentist and refuses to let the Dr. Vu remove her spacers. She was patient and understanding and tried everything to convince my daughter to let her remove the spacers. Unfortunately after about an hour we all gave up and had to reschedule. The whole staff was supportive and professional about everything. So today we were back to get my annual cleaning and try again on getting my daughter’s spacers removed. Mind you today is 12÷23÷14 everyone is trying to get work done before the year end. My daughter again was not cooperating and did not let
do her job. So Dr. Vu continue on with other patients, meanwhile I was able to convince her that she had no other choice but to let the doctor to her job. Needless to say as team we got the spacers out!!! Thank you Dr. Vu and Carrier!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Vu for about 6 years since 2008. I really love Dr. Vu and her staff. They are all very nice and funny. Dr. Vu explains everything to you completely so I know exactly what is going on prior to the procedure.
I used to fear the dentist as a child and I don’t feel comfortable walking into a dental office and everyone is so serious it feels both cold and scary. Dr. Vu is so friendly and even has had me laughing while she works on my teeth. I am so blessed to find a dentist who keeps it simple and is very caring.
What’s better than a dentist who has everyone laughing and smiling. Dr. Vu has cosmetically repaired my teeth today due to a fall. My tooth was like new within an hour. I highly recommend Dr. Vu. Thank You so much Dr. Vu.

I recently was treated by Dr. Vu for adult dental braces. I had some severe crowding in my lower teeth and a baby tooth that didn’t quite drop out. Dr. Vu outfitted me with the clear braces at a fairly reasonable cost and the procedure itself was painless.
Experiencing the day to day of having braces in your 30’s and 40’s (regardless of dentist) is a huge pain in the ass. This is especially so for me, because I have a tiny mouth and I was whining about it all the time. However, Dr. Vu and staff was very patient with me complaining about them month after month and also implemented some techniques with the wiring to accelerate the straightening process. I was in and out of the braces in about 14 months, which is not bad! After being outfitted with retainers, my teeth are still straight. She has alot of techniques, never gives a procedure that’s unnecessary and is very knowledgeable.
I have to say, getting braces at any age is worth the pain. I never knew my teeth can be naturally straight. It makes a huge difference to the shape of your mouth and your smile and now I am obsessed about keeping them straight.
If you have to get a procedure like this or any type of dental work, I highly recommend Dr. Vu. The staff is like family and they have flexible payment models. I have heard horror stories from other friends who have gotten braces at other dentists and had to have them on for a really long time, only to have the teeth shift back right away or they are recommended procedures that are ineffective. Not here. She knows exactly what she is doing and I also love the fact that she can perform more sophisticated oral surgery in addition to the routine cleanings.
Perfect dentist for kids who hate dentists. I know, because as an adult who hate dentists, I enjoy being worked on my Dr. Vu! She makes any procedure painless and does an excellent job. The staff are fun and cool people. And she is open on Saturdays!

Recently I had gone to a different dentist and told I would need almost $ 1600 worth or dental work (yes even with my insurance) even though they didn’t even estimate the cost for the tooth I came in complaining about. I also asked them about my wisdom teeth because I had felt them coming in but they told me I didn’t have wisdom teeth to worry about… THAT WAS MY RED FLAG!
I decided that since I am a recent college student I would need to either A) save up some money B) beg my parents for the money (how embarrassing) or C) get a second opinion from a different dentist.
After doing A I decided to go to Dr. VU to talk abut getting the crowns and root canal that I supposedly needed… Her office is in a little sketchier part of Long Beach but it is a very beautiful and clean place inside. It is nicer than one would expect.
Well first off I do have wisdom teeth (duh) and they showed me my x-​rays so I could understand everything going on. Also she filled my teeth without numbing me and it was PAINLESS!!! She let me know everything I needed to take care of, no judging, and very personable. Even her front staff was awesome with my insurances.
Overall I only ended up paying $ 80 for everything, my mouth feels better, I don’t have holes n my mouth anymore and I understand alot more about my teeth!

First visit went well, second visit was odd. My son had a cavity in between his two front teeth so she cleaned, drilled whatever you call it and then placed the filling. The bonding looks horrible and fake and is more yellow than his teeth so his two front teeth are different colors. The nurse kept moving the plastic divider between his two front teeth and his teeth filling is crooked and DR. Vu did not sand it down at all. It looks like his two front teeth are fused together, she didn’t reshape the teeth at all. I am going to go to a new dentist for them to shape his teeth. I feel like she did not do her job properly.

This is the Dentist that everyone all around should go to. Dr. Hong T Vu is GREATNESS! My children and I have been going for years. This is like the express dentist you can go on your lunch break and she will have your teeth checked out, and cleaned in enough time for you to get back to work. Dr. Hong and her staff is well manner and serve you with kindness and treat you like you are family, because this is the family dentist for your children and you. Been from Europe I have learned to be very demanding concerning dentistry.

Love this place. Went there 3x already. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I had a root canal and cleaning done there. I was a little afraid since my tooth have a hair line of fracture inside… But Dr. Vu was very extra careful and got the root canal done with no damage. Tooth feels alot better. Painless. I would totally recommend this place if you’re are looking for a new dentist. I rarely write reviews on anything unless its a really good place or really bad place. Hong T Vu Denist is definitely the #1 place I highly recommend. I’m also getting my braces done here. =)
FYI. you also get a free traveling pouch with Toothbrush and Toothpaste kit on your way out.

Dr. Vu is a great and trustworthy dentist. I’ve had 3 dentists in the past 4 years, and Dr. Vu has been the most reliable, efficient, and «honest» sounding dentist I’ve been to in a long while. I had one ealier of dentists claim I need major work done (deep root cleaning for $ 600 that insurance will NOT cover), and then I go to Dr. Vu and she tells me they’re nuts. She loses 1 star because her office crew are a little slow and clueless, but the wait is short so you don’t have to see secretaries very long.

Dr. Vu is a great dentist! She thoroughly explains what is going on with your teeth and what course of action needs to be taken. She is as gentle as it gets!
