Sewed my strap back on to my royal blue dress with navy blue thread which was totally noticeable and they did not understand that this was not acceptable, my dress was ruined and I still had to pay. The employees do not speak English very well at all making it hard to communicate with them. I just moved to the area and thought this place could be my new dry cleaning place… Nope.

Dishonorable! Brought a couple of suits in for alterations on Bellflower and PCH location. One suit’s pant length measured but jacket WAY too long. decided to take it back to retailer. The woman doing the measuring of the next suit said the waist was fine (It was too large but I let her talk me into it.) she said that she did not have to fit the pant leg as she would take the length from the other suit that she had measured and that I was to return. «I am already wearing the pants, are you SURE?» She insisted yes and when I asked that she press the new suit and remove all the labels, she assured me she would do so!
Stupidly, I just picked up the suit without trying it on. I am VERY busy right now. In the AM I planned to wear the suit but None of the labels had been removed, the pants were more than 2 inches too long and the waist was a size too big. In fact, NOTHING WAS DONE!!! I have called for the manager 5 times and s/​he has not returned my calls!!! S/​he could care less. J’s isn’t dishonorable and disrespectful. I must find time to go to the facility and make a rukus to have this resolved– MAYBE. Find some other cleaners– there are tons in Long Beach. Get a real tailor or seamstress. Don’t be stupid like me.

This is the location i use most of the time, i love that they are an organic cleaner + they have same day service. Most of the time when i actually decide to take in my dry cleaning i needed within the same day, so this is the place i count on!
PS: My friend just had her rug (no pun intended) cleaned at these cleaners, they do a great job on Rugs & wedding gowns & shoes as well!

I love to drop my dry cleaning off at J’s! The staff is friendly, they even greet me by name. Clothes are always cleaned beautifully and on time. It is an added bonus that they are an organic cleaners.

I have been coming to this dry cleaners for years and the quality and service have been impeccable. My clothes are always cleaned and altered exactly the way I want. The staff is very friendly. This place is perfect for your dry cleaning and alteration needs!

I’ve lived in Long Beach for over ten years and have tried over a dozen dry cleaners in the Belmont Shore, Naples or Belmont Heights areas. Yes they were either convenient (walking distance from home) or on the way to/​from work or dirt cheap. Hell, I’ve even tried the dry cleaners onsite at my office (both convenient & inexpensive) But, eventually, as they all do —because they use such low quality cleaning materials and low quality staff –they ruin my clothes! Either they ripped the lining (without disclosing it to me), lose or crack the buttons, or cause my white blouses to turn a sick tinge of grey. J’s Cleaners is a life saver — it is opposite my drive to work and it is not the cheapest place in town, but I do not care. They take meticulous care, use high quality cleaning materials, carefully wrapping buttons with foil, reinforcing seams without being asked, etc. They are extremely friendly and always greet me by name. As far as pricing, they always have coupons, which makes it a great value for the type of service your get.

I had a similar experience as the other single star writers. They are highly unorganized and charge way too much. I took a throw in on Mon. and they said it would be ready by Thurs. I asked how much it would cost and the woman behind the counter was too embarrassed to tell me, I had to press her for the cost… it was $ 18. On Thurs., I got a call to pick up my item. I went in on Fri. afternoon and got the run around, it was not there and she did not come right out and say so, I had to ask her directly. I came back later and picked up the throw. I should not have to make two trips, especially when I get a call to come get it.

CONSUMERS BEWARE!!! This has to be be thee worst cleaners I have ever been to. They get Zero stars but unfortunately i have to give one because that the only way i can post my review. Unilocal please fix this so that consumers can either give a zero star or even a negative star. Anyhow on with my review I should’ve seen all the warning signs and walked away… no ran away… The ways see it is that you live and you learn and then share it with all the Unilocalers
1^st sign: I dropped off my cashmere sweater and 2 other items on a Monday and was told that it would be ready on thursday…(kind of a long turnaround right?). I’m a patient person that wasn’t in a rush for these items. So whatever.
2^nd sign: Was handed a receipt without a total. When asked she sighed heavily and started to input the information into the system. I was told that it would be a whopping $ 23 for basic cleaning.
3^rd sign: they called me on Wednesday and told me that my cashmere sweater had «a» hole on it. I know for a fact that it didn’t…she said that it looked like a tiny moth had gotten to it. I told her that I would be by to pick up my stuff. When I got there they had marked 2 spots with holes. One on the front and one on the back. Absolutely ridiculous!!! I thought it was one… now two!!! Unbelievable! All I wanted was my stuff. They unfortunately took my other 2items to the other location to get cleaned. I was told that I had to come back tomorrow at 3 to pick up my stuff and was handed an updated receipt of $ 19. So your telling my that the one item (the one they ruined) was only $ 4… Hmmmmm what I don’t understand is why we’re they barely calling me when it should’ve been told to me the minute they discovered this infamous hole.
4^th sign: When I showed up they were steaming my dress and I came after 3. My stuff didn’t even smell clean. Major bummer…
So beyond annoyed… Please know that I only write reviews if they are warranted. I was hoping to make this my home cleaners because of proximity of my residence. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO HEREand I would advise you to go to another so you don’t experience something similar.

Let me start off by saying that all the workers here are very hard to understand. They don’t speak English well so there is a lot lost in translation.
I bought a ball gown for an event I was attending. I needed it hemmed and dry cleaned. When I brought in my dress, they didn’t tell me the price of the alternations because the lady who normally does that wasn’t there. I was told to come back later in the day. So, I did and they told me she left already and I should have called first. Anyway, when I picked up my dress I was happy to see that the bill was only $ 25. I thought, «what a deal!» So I returned to get 2 dresses dry cleaned and 1 altered. To my surprise the bill was $ 50!!! I asked why it was so much for dry cleaning. The owner told me my previous bill was $ 25 because they didn’t dry clean my dress. They only altered it. I was validly upset because I wore a DIRTY DRESS to a very important event. The owners reply was «well you didn’t noticed it wasn’t cleaned.» How dare she even say that?!! Instead of trying to remedy the problem by offering me a free cleaning or at least 10% off she instead said that I have a bad attitude.
Bottom line, this place is not willing to admit they made a mistake by not dry cleaning my dress when I asked them too. Instead she insisted they weren’t in the wrong because I wasn’t charged for the cleaning… but who cares! I asked them to clean it and they didn’t.
Don’t even waste your time by going to this cleaner. They are RUDE and they are hard to understand.

Worst Dry Cleaning service I’ve ever had. Not only are they super expensive, but they take way too long to service your garment. I think worst of all, they are very rude and short with customers, very bad experiences, went 2 times to give them the benefit of the doubt and both times were awful.

Great prices for organic dry cleaning and convenient location, next to Trader Joe’s at PCH and 2^nd.
They do magic here. I bring my work clothes to get dry cleaned here. One of my pairs of slacks had both hems that had come undone at the bottoms, and I had pinned them up inside with tiny safety pins. I was actually wearing them like that for about a month because I was too lazy to make time to hem them back up. After they were cleaned by J’s Cleaners, the safety pins were gone and they were magically hemmed! I made it a point to thank them for their great service the next time I went in.
They sure go above and beyond at J’s Cleaners and Laundry!
