Loehmann’s

I don’t know why I keep trying, probably because it’s on the way home, but I always think I’ll find something amazing at this Loehmann’s like the one in SF. As always, I left this store empty handed and utterly disappointed.
Even with an additional 30−70% off, everything here was just so zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I felt like I was picking through stuff at Goodwill, only there, I’d have better luck at finding a few vintage pieces!
Oh, and good luck with the sizes since it’s all crammed together. This store was so bare, I suspect they’re trying to liquidate everything to close down. Not surprised and not sad about it either.

I wonder why Loehmann’s is filing for bankruptcy.
Maybe because most items there are soo worn or defected. The woman’s clothes are particularly crappy if you ask me. The men’s section is also pretty bad. I would say that the men’s selection is a little better in quality than quanity (the section is only a quarter of the store).
Parking is abundant… but Loehmann’s is not the place to shop. I prefer Nordstrom Rack or Last Call. Therefore, save yourself a trip.

Great loehmanns but inventory tends to be hit or miss along with all other loehmanns.

Terrible service. The cashier (Ashley) takes the person that cut in line ahead of me after i had been waiting and i will never shop at this store again with rude employees such as her.

SUPER DUPER DISAPPOINTED!
So I used to shop at the one in Huntington Beach until they snapped their doors shut! They were going downhill and fast so it wasn’t a huge surprise when it happened! The merchandise for high quality clothes was the bottom of the barrel at best and the store always looked a HOT MESS!
I had not been back since but decided to give to give them another try after I saw an episode of Undercover Boss with the Loehmann’s CEO. I don;t know who they think they are fooling with those HORRID WIGS they ALL WEAR! REALLY i’m supposed to think that is NOT A DEAD RAT on your HEAD! Anyway… They were so OFF MY RADAR I had forgotten about them! So I went to this location expecting to see a huge improvement to the one that was in Huntington Beach and because I figured there would be all these updates after the Undercover Boss aired.
BOY WAS I BAMBOOZLED! The store STILL looked a HOT MESS but now it was a hot mess on CRACK! Tons of racks crammed with merchandise that you really could not see because there were FAR TOO MANY items on the rack! I couldn’t even part the clothes to view the item and trying to get it out to see and then put it back on the rack was a FIGHT as well! I have worked in retail when I was younger so I know how people DON’T put things back right or in the proper place! SO I REALLY TRY TO DO THAT!
I REALLY couldn’t tell what was new because they hardly had any display mannequin’s or half body bust to show off anything! Just like the UB episode they STILL were trying to work with displaying things on all the racks because they were short of REAL DISPLAYS! SHAMEFUL!
When I was able to find something I liked or needed help all the employees seemed to be hiding somewhere in the back because they for sure were not anywhere I LOOKED and I CANVASSED the store LOOKING! REALLY! Are we doing this again? Why don’t stores staff enough employees during opening hours! I am certain NOT staffing enough employees is a money saving TACTIC on for company that only has customers FRUSTRATED because you can NEVER LOCATE ANYONE TO HELP YOU! I’m NOT ON A HUNTING EXPEDITION thus I should not have to TRACK DOWN STORE PERSONNEL FOR ASSISTANCE like I am trailing elk! GEEZ-​LOUISE!
I can see NOW WHY THE STORE was NEAR EMPTY with ALMOST NO CUSTOMERS! JUST REALLY UNFORTUNATE! I thought I was shopping in Burlington Coat Factory the way things looked! Junk upon Junk, mingled with more JUNK, and thing piled on top of each junk! In CASE YOU MISSED IT THE KEY WORD WAS «JUNK» in that last sentence. NOT my idea of having high standards LET ALONE any standards! The .99 Cent store and Dollar Tree is WAY more ORGANIZED!

To be selling high end clothes you’d EXPECT the store to LOOK THE PART instead the look the part of a BARGAIN BASEMENT GOING OUT OF BUSINESS TYPE STORE! I WILL NOT BE BACK! It was a HUGE WASTE of my time to bother giving them another chance!
I just felt SUPER MENTALLY EXHAUSTED when I left and UTTERLY HOODWINKED from the UB episode! THAT CEO doesn’t seem to be making any changes as he claimed to be doing on the show! That was all to try and DRUM UP BUSINESS but he has LOST MINE AGAIN but for GOOD this time!

Ugh…same as at the beginning of the year.
Rack’s upon racks of clearance, seriously cheap prices but everything is garbage.
Like Dollar Store quality, I do not know where they keep these items the rest of the year, because they surely can’t charge retail for them.
They have no Backroom section at all and nothing mixed in with the other items.
The closest to couture here is Juicy and that doesn’t quite count.
They do have some designer brand items for full retail but those prices just aren’t good enough to bother with.
4 stars as I am a huge fan of Loehmann’s just not this location.
I am sure i will though be back for round 3… next year.

Came here and the staff was more concerned with their displays than helping the customers. Pretty cold atmosphere and not so great prices.

A bit pricier than Ross/​Marshalls but the quality is far superior.
I recommend signing up for one of their frequent shopper cards since they send coupons all the time… I never come here without one!

I can ususally get great deals at Loehmann’s, especially during sales or with extra off coupons for gold card members. It can be hit or miss as with most of the locations. The staff is friendly and will hold items til the end of the day.

This review is based on my experience for looking for formal attire for my mom.
My sister and I decided to drop by Loehmann’s after hearing great things from my cousin who found her mom’s mother-​of-​the-​bride dress at one of the other locations. Since she raved about her experience, we decided to go this past Friday. Boy was that a mistake. This Long Beach location had a very small dress section. Most of the dresses were not formal dresses and if it was, the dress was in a larger size.
We were disappointed that the long trip to Long Beach was unsuccessful. This trip made me hesitant to try the other Loehmann’s locations. =(
Nonetheless, the service was good. The employee in the fitting room was extremely kind but slow.

Actually they are better than I thought they would be. It was my first time in any Loehman’s. I wasn’t even sure if they sold furniture or clothing. The location is good and in a decent center. I just sort of wandered in. I also wandered around quite a bit which is unusual for me. They have some cute Soprano tops (which I had never heard of) but I bought one (and love it). I also saw cute clothes by We the Free, Free People and Hanky Panky. I also saw jeans by Seven. LA h as so many shops and tons of discounted clothes. I will go back as I liked the way things are not all jammed together. It’s organized pretty well and a good sized store. The sales help leave you alone and the check out person was very sweet. The shoe department was pretty skimpy. But I did see some Madden booties for a very good price. Ya just gotta look around. I kept wondering if the Kardashian’s shopped here, how wierd is that.

Whenever I go to Loehmann’s, it just reminds me how much I love Nordstrom Rack. Tonight’s visit was no exception.
The Long Beach Loehmann’s seems to get worse every year. The selection is AWFUL. First off — the brands are unimpressive. At best, it’s snoozer department store fare like DKNY, Tahari, and BCBG. At worst, it’s poorly constructed, 5-​seasons-​ago junk in the colors that didn’t sell. The handbag and shoe selection was abysmal.
The discounts don’t impress me either. When I see a $ 130 Calvin Klein dress priced at $ 85 that I know I can get at Ross for $ 39, I’m a little confused. $ 90 Chloe perfume marked down to $ 80, etc. The sales sound impressive — lots of deep discounts and stuff marked down to as little as $ 1 — but when you see what’s on the racks, you wouldn’t even want to pay that much for it.
If you want some designer finds, go to the location near the Beverly Center — but be prepared to be clawed to death by grabby shoppers!

I don’t think I’ve ever bought anything from a Loehman’s before. And I’ve been to the one in San Diego countless times, looking around to see what they have.
At this Loehmann’s in Long Beach, I bought 2 maxi dresses and 1 pair of sandals. Which just goes to show… they know how to do it up right in the LB!!!
I like that there is a communal dressing room. It’s so much faster and more convenient than having to wait for your own private dressing room. One big room, ginormous mirrors wrapping around the room. You and your friends can try stuff on and give each other super instant feedback.
The one thing I didn’t like is that the cashier kind of misled me. She said having the Loehmann’s card was free and would give me all kinds of discounts. She didn’t mention the $ 25 annual fee. I didn’t realize that I had to pay anything whatsoever until I looked at my receipt and saw the enrollment fee.

This is not the Loehmann’s for men.
The selection is a joke. They had hardly any variety and nothing was too appealing besides the small collection of Calvin Klein and Michael Kors.
I will definitely look for a different store with wider variety.

I love Loehmann’s! There is always a TON of cute stuff for women (and a small little section for men and baby items). I love to just browse the racks and different sections. And surprisingly this store is always really nice and clean. Clothes are not all over the floors and placed in the wrong areas.
I always received coupons in the mail for Loehmann’s, which always lured me in to shop and have never had any problems using them. I have always received very friendly service at the cash register.
One negative thing I would have to say is their changing room, which is in the back of their store. Wait time to get a changing room always seems to be longer than anticipated. There are not that many rooms and think if they had better laid out the area, they could have fit more fitting rooms in the space.
This place is located right next to the big Ralph’s market and there is a LOT of parking here.

Great selection but noticed that the prices were not much different than ones I’ve seen elsewhere. Kind of disappointment when I saw the boots that I got here for 20% off (additional) on sale for much cheaper elsewhere… Is Loehmans really a good deal? I am not sure. But its a great place to stop by if you have a coupon with no idea what you want to purchase.

I love this store. I particularly LOVE this location. Its a nice area with decent parking. The selection at this location also seems better to me than the Torrance location. I get my designer jeans here (Joes jeans, sevens, paige) for about 100 bucks a pop. They also carry nice purses and shoes, at a good discount. Like others have said its like a TJ Maxx, but not as picked over or chaotic, and better quality stuff. I’d compare it more to nordstrom rack, but even BETTER. I have the gold membership. I paid 25 dollars on it and get 10% off each purchase for the year. They also mail you postcards with specials like «exclusive 20% off private sales» and on your bday month you get 20% off. Not everything in the store is amazing, like any store but I suggest you come here if you are looking for:
*discounted fall boots (come in august)
*dresses (for wedding or other like occasions)
*bags/​purses
*trendy jewelry under 30 bucks that won’t fall apart after one use
*casual office wear

It’s Hit or Miss with Loehmann’s, and I got a hit today!
I usually like their shoes and handbags… but no luck today.
I did get a cute little Juicy Couture coin purse keychain, in purple leather.
Remember, Gold Member get 10% all purchases! Become one for 25 bucks a year. Plus… you get all those coupons in the mail and can really score on a great buy!

In the hierarchy of bargain shopping Loehmann’s falls in somewhere above a Nordstrom’s rack and perhaps equal to a TJ Maxx. I had heard wonderful things about this location from my fashion-​forward and thrifty co-​worker. He was always quite proud of his Prada shoes or fancy desginer jeans that he got for a steal at Loehmanns.
So I was really excited to find quite a broad selection of women’s clothing too. All of it at somewhat higher prices than say Ross, but the brands and quality were higher as well. Today I was in the mood for a dress. Normally I would scour the racks for a while to find maybe 3 – 4 items to try on. But here I had to stop myself after 8 dresses!
I got my grubby little hands on all these fabulous dresses and scurried off to the ladies dressing room to try them all on. I was already making changes to my budget so that I could buy more than I could afford. Hey, it’s spring time… every girl should have a new dress.
Then I arrived in the dressing room. Oh. My. Gawd.
I’m not sure how long I stood there gawking at all the women changing their clothes in the open area. If you happen to be reading this and remember a chubby Mexican girl with her jaw on the floor staring at your flabby white butt in the dressing room at Loehmann’s — I’M SORRY! I didnt know you would be changing clothes in public like that!!!
I don’t know how long I stood there in shock staring at women in various stages of undress. I think a sales associate revived me and ushered me into a private fitting room. Maybe she saw the color leave my face. Maybe she instinctively knew that I was wearing a flimsy bra and wouldn’t feel right about undressing in front of strangers.
Next time, I’ll just take my chances and buy the dress off the rack without trying it on.
