Great staff and awesome selection! I usually shop at the salvation army up the street however, I think that I have a new favorite spot! ;-) Very clean, open, and clutter free. The parking lot(kinda looked like street parking ?) appeared to be on the small side, but I found a spot right in front of the entrance. Score!

Broad selection of everything. Furniture Clothes Knick knacks Random assorted stuff Half of color tags and a super helpful, friendly staff determined to organize things to facilitate you finding what you really want here. Also, there is a parking lot.

Was passing through the area and noticed WCC wasn’t here at this location anymore. Guess it’s been a few years since I’ve been in the area and things have changed a bit. Since I enjoy visiting thrift stores all over the country, I figured I would stop in and see how they have changed the interior of Jesses old shop. As far as the merchandise, it only took me about 5 minutes in the store since I didnt really see anything I liked. Even with all the great sales on bikes and furniture the day I came. Clothing racks seemed to contain your average older thrift store type clothes. Hmm. maybe I came on a slow day.

Fairly big place, good selection of items from clothes to furniture. Parking was easy & good as well. Clothes, shoes & housewares seemed priced well. Though furniture… well, $ 150 for a regular old beat up coffee table(not an antique, not a name brand)… I dunno, you decide. Oh, and there’s no restroom for customer use, too bad.

I decided to take a short road trip to long beach and check out all the thrift stores LB has to offer. This was my first stop and my favorite out of the bunch I looked at. When I went, household items were 40% off. Prices were great, very reasonable, and they had quite the selection of items. As another reviewer had pointed out, they dont have much clothing for sale. There was only a small, sad rack of jackets. The main emphasis was on household items, toys, and furniture. Theres also a glass case near the register that houses jewelry and other collectibles. Definitely a great establishment with a great cause. I strongly recommend any LB thrift lover to check this place out.

I wondered on this location the second day it opened in November. I have been back there 3 times since. My apartment is starting to feel like a home. They have very helpful staff, inexpensive pricing, accept donations, able to process credit cards, and even offer DELIVERY. It feels good to sit in my home and at the same time be helping Long Beach get some help to the homeless population. Much respect for the roof over my head, the furniture in my apartment, and the help I provided to people without such comfort.

This location apparently just opened. Brandon D. and I were just driving back from visiting Drake Park, when we saw the spider web and Iron Cross gate in the back. «Oh yeah, this was where they used to film ‘Monster Garage.’ Remember?» Bran said. Since this was across the street from what used to be West Coast Choppers. As we were sitting at the red light, I noticed the banner hanging on the building saying something about the thrift store being open ’til 4 Monday through Friday. Wait, what? This place that used to be owned by Jesse James and WWC is now a thrift store benefiting the homeless? And it’s open right now? «Want to check it out?» I asked. To which Bran immediately pulled into one of the spaces right next to us. It’s a BIG warehouse for a thrift store with a high ceiling. They mostly just had everything — appliances, cookware, kick-knacks, and other odds and ends — laid out on folding tables. There was a small selection of books and VHS and DVD, and loads and loads of Christmas records. In fact there were several tables just for Christmas decorations all marked down 50% off. They actually didn’t have any racks of clothes or shoes, ATALL. It’s only tables of random items and furniture. About a third of the room is curtained off as the processing/backroom area. I just thought that was interesting since so many places(Goodwill, AmVets, etc) seem to mostly trade in clothing with everything else much less represented. I recommend going if you’re looking for an entertainment center, used waffle iron, surfboard, lamp or headboard or whatnot. It’s for a good cause, and yeah, it’s in a place that used to be on the Discovery Channel.
