I hate to admit, I don’t know the first thing about cars. I’m happy I found Overseas Garage because they keep my car running smoothly. Highly recommended!

Everyone at the shop is friendly and down to earth. The mechanics are thorough and both patient and kind enough to explain what is going on with your car until you understand.

Oh my God! To find an auto shop with integrity is so hard. It seems like they all want to up sell you. Not this place, Andy the owner is a straight shooter. Kelly in the office is so pleasant. I highly recommend this shop.

I got some work done here, I thought they were pretty good people. They managed to get the work on my car done pretty quickly, I think the price was fair. I didn’t get the impression that they were beating out people in terms of low cost, but the work they do is quality and I got the impression that Andy had a lot of integrity and was trustable.

Overseas was half the price of the Acura Dealership. Any wonder?! They managed the schedule with consideration and explained all the work, showed me the used parts and washed my car. In a world with declining customer service Overseas Garage Delivered!

As a home mechanic who does my own work, I’m not very keen on handing my car over and paying someone else to work on my 99 CRV.
Twice now I have been in a time crunch and haven’t had time to order parts or special tools. After a quick check on Unilocal,I found these guys just down the road and figured I’d give them a shot.
First time I took it in they found the issue I was concerned about wasn’t actually anything to be concerned with. Rather than charge me for the replacement parts that weren’t needed, they reinstalled my parts and only charged me for the labor. They could have took the money from the parts but instead chose to be honest and that is huge.
Just before a long drive I noticed a slight coolant leak. Again not having the time to do it myself, I gave them a ring and were able to get me in first thing the next day. Dropped the car off first thing, got a call early afternoon the car was done. New water pump, pulleys, belts and other gaskets done for a very reasonable price.
They even save all the parts to show you exactly was wrong.
I can’t recommend these guys enough. Fair price, nice guys and most importantly, honest.

are. They must of gone to another garage
to fix their car. Today I traveled back to the
OG for an oil change & new brake pads. I
let NO one touch my car but Andrew & the
OG mechanics. They are the VERY best.

You are welcome Andy… remember I commented recently that I had a gut feeling that the repairs would not be related .And from past experience with garages they will repair the intended repairs, but in the process cause another problem, knowing the poor naïve customer will bring the vehicle back to the same garage (Over Seas Garage) thinking the problem is related to the previous repairs, only to find out it is not. The customer bring the vehicle back to the same garage only to be stuck with a mysterious repair, that you really didn’t have problems with before you brought your vehicle to that perticular garage for example (Over Seas Garage).That same thing would have happened to me with Over Seas Garage, but I have experience in past dealing with garages that scam the (Gullible and Naïve) customers. Remember My Car Was Driving Excellently before I brought it to Over Seas Garage. I brought my vehicle to Over Seas Garage because I have known the mechanic Jerry for forty two years , that was a big mistake on my part, he screwed me. I brought my vehicle to the garage for only two minor repairs , and end up paying $ 1075 ‚(Remember My Car Was Driving Excellently).Andy claimed he found some other problems that had to be repaired along with the two minor repairs intended , which was only a annoying noise and a microscopic oil leak at first. He already took part of my engine apart for investigation purposes, so I allowed the mechanic Jerry to do the mysterious repairs .All the time I felt like I was under duress. Andy the owner of Over Seas Garage, told me in a very hostile manner over the phone, that if he couldn’t do all the repairs I could come and pick up my car at the garage. He stated that all six of the individual repairs was considered one job (Remember I only had two minor intended repairs originally) From my experience in dealing with garages, Over Seas Garage is a very dishonest scam garage. Also there repair prices are very, very high and ridiculous. Ask your self this question. …how many times have I been back and forth for uneccesary and mysterious repairs over a period of time to Over Seas Garage. PS .two weeks after my disastrous encounter with Over Seas Garage, my check engine light came on, that was the first time in eleven years of ownership of my vehicle, that this type of problem happened. I followed my gut instinct and did not take my vehicle back to Over Seas Garage. I took my vehicle to Browning Mazda in Cerritos California and got the additional problem, fixed, that knowingly was caused by Over Seas Garage. Remember My Car Was Driving Excellently before I brought it to Over Seas Garage. The additional repair was a damaged hose connected to the air filter .I did not have that problem until Jerry the mechanic at the garage worked on my vehicle .I feel my vehicle was sabotage to create a return repair visit to the garage. Eventually I had the repair done at the Mazda dealer ship for $ 429 .It cost me a total of $ 1,504 because of Over Seas Garage dishonest tactics. I will never take my vehicle to Over Seas Garage again. I feel like it was all a scam..

I used to take my car there all the time for oil change, but Andy is not that friendly (which I didn’t care for that) but he called me saying I needed car rotation and he charged me $ 100 for rotation, What a rip off. He said the car needed few things, but all what he did is get the rotation and now I need alignment as the car started shifting to the right, I went back the next day saying I thought you did rotation and alignment but my car is shifting and he said no I don’t do alignment only rotation, you need to take it some where else. I was shocked that he charged $ 100 for rotation only. He wrote on a the paper he changed the air filter, but he didn’t because that is a $ 10 part that I actually knew how to change and have changed it earlier in the year.
I will never go back again.

Impeccably honest and straight forward. My wife and I have used this garage for many many years, and would never consider going elsewhere. Prices are superb too, and costing is fully explained.

What an amazing reputable shop… been using them for years and have always had an excellent experience. Andy Klein is the owner and is so nice and friendly. Has been taking care of the past 3 – 4 cars I’ve owned. Always given me a fair price and even cut me a deal from time to time. Highly recommend this place and will continue to take all my vehicles to him

They never reset the change oil light. It’s a small thing but annoying to have to take it back in every time.
Last time I got my breaks done there, within a month they started squeaking. I happened to have my car at a different repair shop for an oil change and they offered to check them for me. They said the breaks are fine (being honest and not charging me for work I didn’t need) but that the pads were the cheapest ones on the market and will squeak.
I also had my rooters done at Overseas last year and had to bring my car back for noises. Ultimately went somewhere else.
They charge about 20% more than competitors, and I thought that would get me quality work, unfortunately that was not my experience.

I went in last week to get a routine service for my Camry. I moved to the area recently, and they were the closest to my apartment, so I gave them a try. These guys were great! They gave me an accurate estimate beforehand, called me when they discovered additional issues with the car that needed fixing, and gave me a heads up of issues that I might want to tackle the next time I get the car service. They even showed me the issue that needed fixing first hand when I went to pick the car up.
The team at Overseas Garage was professional, friendly, and I felt like they really cared about the customer. They’ll have my business as long as I’m in the Long Beach area.

Decided to give Overseas another shot, and I’m sure I glad I did. I have a fairly new car with a high performance engine and didn’t want the hassle of returning to the dealership for my scheduled maintenance. Andy was able to get me in quickly, and wasn’t afraid to tackle the job (most of the other shops in the area weren’t equipped to handle it). The service was extremely courteous, thorough and quick. He had the car sorted in no time, and even corrected a few things the dealer got wrong on my last visit!
Great job Andy & team. I’m converted! I would recommend Overseas to everyone.

Perhaps like you now, I found Andy thru Unilocal and he is such a blessing. He fixed every problem honestly… like charging me for a $ 13 light bulb when I heard from a former auto body guy that I needed to change the whole light (300 plus) dollars because it was in an accident and the parts are difficult to get. He solved a brake lamp issue that the dealer could not reproduce.
In addition to his honesty, he is extremely reasonable and I felt so safe driving my 190k plus mile car across the Arizona desert.
In the days of technology, I so appreciate his hand written thank you note too.
It now understand why he has been in business for over 30 years, he has made a loyal customer in me.

Andy and his terrific team continue to give me outstanding service. He always lets me know if something needs attention and how long I can reasonably wait before it absolutely must get done. Recently, I had a bit of a semi-​emergency — I had a tire that was low and the air hoses at the gas station would not work because the valve was damaged, but I knew that a garage pressure hose would work. Although he was about to close, Andy waited a few minutes for me to get to him so that he could help me out.
Andy, you are a great mechanic and an ever better human being!

I’ll be back here the next time my car needs fixing. They are honest and fairly fast. The prices seem quite reasonable and I didn’t feel that they were scamming me. That said, you should always do your homework on what needs to be done to your car.

Took my KIA to be fixed because it was making a horrible sound. I had an 8 am appointment and from the get go the staff was super nice and very professional. They called me in 2 hours to confirm what was wrong and give me an estimate. The dealer was gonna charge me almost $ 500 to fixed my door handle, (I could not open it from the inside) and this garage reconnected a cable and had it working for less than $ 50.
When I picked up my car a few hours later, the owner Andy, showed me the broken part. The car purred like a kitten and drove really well. Plus I got a comp car wash. I am super happy with everything at this garage.
IMPORTANT: call ahead to make an appointment.
Highly recommend this place and the fact that its in my neighborhood is a super plus.

This place is great. They offer great work and you can trust that they do a quality job.
I used to live across the street from the shop for years which made being a customer very convenient. But even now that I moved away I still continue to come to Overseas Garage.
To the people who complain that they are too expensive, I really don’t think they are. Even if that were the case, I’d rather pay a bit more and deal with HONEST mechanics than go someplace cheap where I mysteriously have to come back a week later to «fix» something new!

Great auto shop right by my house. The staff is very friendly and informative. They are also trustworthy. I had them do a brake job and also said it needed a wheel bearing (on the advice of the Honda dealer I previously had it at). Upon inspection they told me that it didn’t need the wheel bearing. They could have easily just replaced it and charged me, but they didn’t. This earns my trust and return business.
The brake job was done on time and I haven’t had any issues with it. I was pleasantly surprised to also find my car washed when I picked it up. I even got a follow up thank you card. It’s these small touches that distinguish a quality, locally-​owned business from the impersonal chain shops.
I always like supporting local business whenever possible, and I will be returning to Overseas Garage for all of my future automotive needs for both my Honda and my wife’s Civic. They have earned a repeat customer. Thanks!
