confession: I’ve gone here twice this week!
That’s what happens when fresh pasta changes your life. Love P3’s lunch specials, you definitely get quality and quantity.
Will be back a third time for happy hour :)

The pizza and empanadas were amazing!!!
The service was excellent and served the food very quickly I Loved It!!!

Very delicious fresh pasta.
I had the gluten free ones and there was no way to tell it was gluten-​free (you know sometimes people try but the texture is off).
The French-​Press coffee is delicious and their crepes for desserts was just what I needed.
The only thing I didn’t appreciate was the music. I came during lunch and they played loud metal music which was not what I would want to hear during my lunch break. Also didn’t fit with the modern clean décor. I would go with calmer music.

There is nothing better than having fresh made pasta and homemade sauce. P3 does not fall short of the homemade factor. First of all, you can actually see their pastas hanging in the window. Second, the complimentary bread comes out WARM. I don’t know about you guys but I love warm, free bread!
Service was pretty good. When you walk in, you think you order from the counter but that’s not the case if you’re dining in. They tell you to sit wherever you want and bring a menu to you. I sat down, got a menu and built my own pasta with red pepper pappardelle and bolognese. My sister ordered the chicken ravioli. My dish was okay, my only gripe was the pasta didn’t taste any bit like red pepper. The sauce was a regular bolognese sauce with plenty of meat. My sister’s ravioli dish was actually phenomenal! The white cream sauce was so good with the sundried tomatoes!
I will definitely be coming back for the pasta with the white sauce. It’s a winner in my book.

I really, really like this place! To start, it is a very small place. They do have a patio and a bar, where I sat. From my view I could see the Chef prepare all sorts of Pizzas and pastas as I ate! The food is very good, consistent and flavorful. I had a Ham And Cheese Empanada, delicious! It came with a bit of Chimichurri, and it was cooked perfectly and a not too-​think breading. While I waited for my entrée, they brought their «bread» and Oil and Vinegar. It’s not bread but a wonderful plain pizza dough with a ton of spiced. Very savory and dangerous! You can’t stop eating it! For my entrée I had the Chicken Ravioli and it was very good! The creamy sauce was superb, not as heavy as I expected. I had their Malbec to go with the Pasta, and to this day, I have not found a Malbec I didn’t like! For desert I had their Panna Cotta. Well made, with freshly chopped strawberries on top, and it was very good! I will decently stop by again and will recommend this small, but wonderful restaurant to friends!

First off let me say that this was my favorite go to restaurant in the area. If you would have asked me my opinion a few weeks prior to this review I would have given P3 a generous 4 star raving review. But tonight’s experience was anything but satisfactory.
My boyfriend and I live close by and frequent P3 on a weekly basis whether we dine in or order for take out. Like I said previously. It was my favorite go to restaurant. Anyways, we came to P3 tonight for dinner as we often do on a Friday evening. I ordered my usual Meat Lasagna and my boyfriend decided to try something new; as he ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and along with a Beef Empanada appetizer to start off.
To start off, we received the few pieces of bread in a basket along with olive oil and a splash of balsamic. We asked our waiter for Extra Balsamic as there was not enough. It was slightly busy night, so I didn’t pay any mind that we never received it from him and asked a different waiter who then brought it out to us. Sometime after we received the bread we then received our Empanada which tasted good as usual.
Then came our main course! The dishes we both were truly waiting for. My Lasagna came out and looked delicious as usual; but I noticed that it was not drenched in their marinara sauce as it usually is. I decided it would be fine and I would try it as it came. I started in on my lasagna as my boyfriend started in on his Chicken Parmigiana. We both noticed his spinach fettuccine pasta was drier than usual; but as I did, he too just decided to eat it as it came. We both dove into our dishes as we were highly anticipating them. We would not recommend the Chicken Parmigiana here as the chicken had a tough chewy texture and the breaking was below satisfactory as it was thick and not crisp or cooked properly. My lasagna on the other hand was tasty as usual although it needed more marinara as I was used to eating it as they usually serve. I asked for extra marinara and was given as small side. I poured it on to my lasagna and figured it wouldn’t last me, but I would ask for more «to go» since I knew I wouldn’t consume the entire meal in one sitting.
As we wrapped up our meals and had them boxed, we both asked for sides of marinara «to go», we were then told that we would be charged an additional fee for our sides of marinara. I proceeded to tell our waiter that both dishes usually came with more marinara than we received and he said he wouldn’t charge us this time. This was fine. But the fact of the matter is I wouldn’t have had to ask for anything additional unless I didn’t receive the amount that was supposed to be given in the first place. I guess you can say it was irritating that I would actually be charged for something that both dishes should have already been prepared and served with. In addition to that; we frequent the restaurant often and would never have thought they would charge for something so menial as we were loyal customers.
Maybe over time my review will change, but at the moment P3 has left me with a sour taste in my mouth. The smallest details in service matter…

Disgusting place. The owner picked his nose and then continued cooking… We were also charged for a drink that we sent back this place is a joke do yourself a favor and do not come here!!!
I am very irritated that I brought my friend here that was visiting from out of town I should report this place to the BBB and the health dept.

P3 Artisan is a small little corner Italian food spot. In my experience «Italian food» is large portions and very friendly service. That wasn’t my experience at P3.
The bread that comes before the meal is 3 thin slices and we were at table of two. There are no fountain drinks, just bottled drinks that you pay for each one individually. The staff was very to the point. Just business, taking orders bringing food and the check.
I got the lasagna, which was good but just rather small. I read some of the other Unilocal reviews and saw this being a reoccurring problem.
I would return for a small bite to eat but would not go out of my way for this spot.

Loved the atmosphere & ambiance… seriously cute date place! You see the fresh pasta sheets hanging from the kitchen. The clean white marble (?) tables and silver backsplash were cute!
But the food portion & quality left some to be desired.
Although pasta was delicious– freshly made & springy texture, the sauces that my husband and I both had were pretty mediocre. Alfredo and bolognese left some oomph to be desired– it tasted like something I could’ve made from a jar of pasta sauce & I’m not a chef by any means. And for $ 13, I would hope that I would be full… but I actually needed to snack a bit after this dinner.
Anyways, I would still go back if I was in the area, but at least my expectations for the food would be

We’ve enjoyed P3 Artisan Pasta a couple of times and the first time it was absolutely delicious! Freshly made pasta and a tasty sauce greeted us from our to-​go bag the first time we ate there. Freshly made pasta is one of my favorite things and I’m just way too lazy to make it myself.
Had to take our order to go due to wiggly child — but that’s ok — so good. I had the salmon pasta with spinach fettuccine. My husband had the red pepper papardalle. Shared a Caesar… it was so good! Sadly, the second time I called the order in, it took much longer than they had originally stated it would, and then the food was bland and extremely greasy. Even the complimentary bread was burned. Not sure what happened…
I noticed both times that no one was really in charge, there was a lot of scurrying around and confusion, and no one was all that helpful.
I was willing to overlook that the first time because the food was SO GOOD — but the second time, after the heart attack in a pan, I won’t be going back…

This place boasts home-​made pastas– red pepper, spinach and egg. They also have gluten free options
For appetizers they have a unique take on a spinach and artichoke dip. The chips are wontons and the sause is a more liquidy cream sauce with chunks of artichoke. I personally prefer this version to the heavier, cheesy one.
I do enjoy that they have the options to pick your own pasta combo as well as suggested menu items. I ordered a spinach pasta with pink sauce and meatballs. I also tried chicken fettuccine alfredo and the short rib with red pepper pasta. I actually remember thinking the serving size was on the small side, but I was struggling to finish my plate. I think the cream-​based sauces are heaaavy, so its filling (good and bad sides to that). I think I might try a red sauce next time
My one critique is that they should provide more options for side dishes for their pastas. Would have loved a cup of soup, salad, or even fruit if I was there for lunch. The fact that their pastas are so savory might even be a disadvantage, because they need some sort of side dish to counteract it. Maybe they have them, but I wasn’t suggested them. So I felt a little carbo loaded.
Maybe it’s my fault because I simply eat too much, haha. But I will definitely be back to this place. Their pastas are special! Next time I’d love to try the ravioli or the red pepper pasta.

I went there a few months ago and was SO HAPPY that they had vegan pasta. It was green (spinach, I think.) I called back yesterday to confirm they still had it because I was going there for dinner. The woman who answered the phone told me that there’s egg in that pasta, but a lot of their servers don’t know that.
What? Why can’t they make their servers aware of what ingredients are in their food? What happens if someone has a serious allergy?
I’m disappointed. I wish they had a pasta option that was simple and egg-​free. The person on the phone mentioned a ravioli they have that is vegan. I can’t remember exactly what she said was in it, but I think she said sweet potatoes, squash (maybe?), and olive oil. It didn’t sound like something I want to run out and try.
We went to Café Ambrosia instead. The service is consistently inattentive (especially since Christina left), but the food is almost always great. It was on point last night.

I walked in with my friend for a quick bite. We were truly surprised at the place. The décor of the place is nice and clean which made the place inviting. Sarah was really nice and helpful. She helped us with what yo order since it was our first time. She knew what was on the menu and asked what we liked. Our food was fresh and amazing everything made in house, from the noodles to the spinach artichoke dip. I will recommend it to everyone I know. Then when we got the bill surprised at the cost; fresh, delicious food for a great price

I support great local businesses. It’s important to help your community flourish. The décor is clean and aesthetically pleasing.
The food: It’s ok. They do make their pasta from scratch, but so does many other spots in LB.
The service: Absolutely terrible. It’s a particularly hot weekend and we came in early to avoid a rush. Got a table inside. Then a rush comes in. We waited 20 minutes for water (which is my next issue), when my wait staff asks me if I would like to sit outside in 90 degree weather to accomodate another client. Funny, they didn’t ask anyone else. Then my water. No big deal usually, but would it be ok to have ice with my water and a bottle of warm soda. I proceed to ask for one. Then the same staff ask if I wanted more ice. I explain I never received it. After about 3 rounds of «you sure didn’t get ice?», it just boggled my mind. I know we’re in a drought, but can I have ice with my warm bottle of soda? If you’re not giving ice, please serve cold soda. Then she gives me a small cup of ice. After 3 additional requests just to fill up my glass, I noticed everyone seems to have gotten a glass full of ice. Strange… Maybe because we refused to move.
The meal: it was ok. Rather small portion than the other restaurant in the neighborhood. I know it’s made its made from scratch. Trust me it’s not a unique concept in a foodie town like LBC. After about 50 minutes, the thrill dissappears. I asked for parm cheese, well you can guess how long it took. We just took it upon ourself to grab it from a dirty table nearby.
As you look around the room filled with angry and pissed off customers, I realized I was not alone. On average everyone waited over 30 – 40 minutes to get their first dish. I know someone was asking where the manager was. If your staff gets frazzled on a weekend crowd, the manager/​owner should be there to facilitate a smooth service. It was terrible. I gave it a second chance because the first time was bad for the same reason. I really should have gone dinner elsewhere. Next time I’ll go back to La Parolaccia Osteria, where food and service is always on point.
I really wanted to like this place, so disappointed.

There looks to be a slight Argentine bent to this Italian restaurant, judging by the empanadas and the breakfast options. Who knows where the samosas come in, but they’re pretty good.
Actually, my favorite thing about my meal here was the bread they brought out at the beginning of our meal to whet our appetites. It was chewy on the inside, crisp on the outside, nicely crusted with salt and herbs, and the olive oil/​balsamic mix was so precisely perfect. It needed absolutely no adornment. I didn’t eat much because I wanted to save my appetite for the pizza and pasta, but I wish I had thrown caution to the wind.
I ordered the mushroom sundried tomato ravioli, which came in a thick, rich spinach cream sauce. The sundried tomatoes had a kicky, bitter spice to them I couldn’t place, but loved. They did take over the whole flavor profile, though, when you got one in your mouth.
The pizza was exactly the style I like — extra thin crust with fresh mozzarella — but it didn’t really do it for me. There simply were not enough toppings for it to taste like much. (I ordered the Verdure.)
All in all, I’m glad I tried it, and it was about par for the course for my enjoyment of Italian food in general.

Me and the bae came here to grab a quick bite to eat last night… I was feeling a little bit tired due to the fact that for most of the day I was stuck indoors and cleaning. So by the time we had arrived, I had a slight headache. But trust me that doesn’t hinder my taste in food at least!

this place is a little charming pasta place in Long Beach. First off this place is tiny, so if you are looking for some indoor seating, you might need to wait to get seated. We opted for outdoor seating, since the sun wasn’t in our faces, and I was hungry. The patio area outside is tiny, but it’s like I mentioned cute. We were seated, and the waiters/​waitresses there were all very attentive, coming to check up on us every 10 to 15 minutes.
So first off, he wanted some kind of salad because I think earlier in the day he didn’t have as many veggies as he would have liked. He ordered the arugula salad for us to share. And then I ordered 3 of their empanadas, because I’ve always been a big fan of baked goods. I ordered their beef, chicken, and samosa empanadas. I really loved their beef, and samosa one! I would definitely recommend that if you are in the area to try out their empanadas.
I had the braised beef short rib pasta, and he got the artichoke salmon pasta. I thought when we got here, it was going to be something similar to Buca Di Beppo. My short rib pasta was good, but I thought that it was going to come out with red pasta sauce, so when my dish came out, and it was a gravy sauce, I was a little surprised. Our waitress later on brought out some fresh bread, which was really good. I like dipping my bread into my sauce. Although our pastas didn’t have like a lot of sauce, it was still dippable!
I don’t know why I do this to myself all of the time, but usually when we go to places like this, I usually order something, and then he orders something, and then he usually ends up eating up most of my food too. Haha.

Yummy! We Unilocaled this place for a late lunch after checking out the cool street art exhibit at the Long Beach Art Museum. Since it was around 2:30pm, there was only 1 other diner.
FOOD:
They have a pretty good selection of beers on tap! Very refreshing on this hot and humid day. My friend ordered a michelada, which was pretty delicious!
— red pepper pappardelle with bolognese sauce — they handmake their pasta and you can choose your noodle and sauce. They have egg, red pepper, and spinach for the pappardelle. Really really good texture and springiness and the sauce was flavorful without being too heavy.
— meat lovers pizza — also yummy! I really enjoyed their crust — crispy, thin, held the weight of the toppings but had a good chew to it still. Topped with pepperoni, sausage, prosciutto and arugula!
— bianca nostra pizza — a white sauce, very creamy and rich — topped with potatoes and truffle oil
SERVICE:
Very friendly! The chef was italian and wearing a snappy fedora, and he was fun.
VENUE:
Very bright and white with a marble counter in front of the pizza oven. Blasting AC and clean bathrooms, so it was great :)
Glad we found this place!

Decided to try this place for lunch since it is near my school. Thankfully when I came it wasn’t busy, there were just two groups seated, including me.
There isn’t much parking in the back, I believe the max their parking lot could fit is probably 3 cars, and I believe it is only for 2 hours. You could also try parking in the streets. It’s long beach, street parking is common, dining at a place with a parking lot is rare.
Our server was very attentive to us, answered all our questions since it was our first time.
We decided to get two empanadas, we got the beef and the choclo and pablano one. The chocclo and pablano is great! I highly recommend it, way better than the beef. I love the corn in it.
As for the pasta, we ended up getting chicken spinach fettuccini Alfredo. Loved it! Very creamy, just how Alfredo should be. I love spicy food and if you do too I recommend putting crushed red pepper. The only down side is that it’s $ 4 for chicken… And the chicken niblets are so small… It was probably just 5 chicken niblets in the pasta. Serving size for the pasta isn’t too big. Me and my boyfriend shared, good thing we got empanadas on the side.
I would definitely recommend this place to pasta and pizza luvers, it can be a bit pricey but it’s really good! I will be definitely coming back to try their pizza.

Oh how I enjoyed this restaurant. Came here on a random outing with my friend Toya and what a find! This place can be easily missed but it is located in an area known as Retro Row right next door to Portfolio Coffee house and across the way from an elementary school.
We started with an order of 2 different empanadas, I know what you’re thinking; Empanadas at a Italian place, WHAT THE HEY! But hey, it works and it works well! One of the empanada we had was CHICKEN-​inside was Chicken, onions, bell peppers, a green olive and spices and the other was SAMOSA– inside was Potato, onion, garlic, fresh ginger, hot green pepper and spices. Both were amazing! and came with two different dipping sauces that complemented the Empanadas perfectly. I preferred the Samosa because it had more flavor but I would definitely order both again.
For a main course –we got the EGGPLANT PARMESAN ($ 13) Breaded eggplant layered with fresh mozzarella, parmesan cheese and marinara sauce. With a side of pasta. YUM YUM YUM! Im not normally a big eggplant fan but this dish did it for me, after devouring this dish I am definitely a fan of eggplant, especially if its made like this. Would order this dish again for sure.
MUSHROOM RAVIOLI ($ 13) Delicious handmade ravioli filled with sautéed mushrooms, sundried tomatoes and ricotta cheese. Served with a sundried tomato, mushroom, spinach cream sauce. The Raviolis are huge, we didn’t finish this dish and I happily took it home to eat later. I would definitely order this item again and again.
Parking is on the street and depending on the time can be a challenge, but don’t get discouraged. After making a few trips around the block you’re bound to find one. The few trips is worth it and helps you burn a few extra calories before you have a hearty meal.
Service is excellent. Cooks come by and make sure you’re enjoying your meal and that he cooked your dishes to your liking and even offers to tweak things if you need.
Ambiance– Upon entering this establishment you realize how brightly lit it is which makes great photo ops for your Unilocal posts since natural lighting works the best. Second the way the restaurant is designed it kind of echoes so it can get slightly loud even if it isn’t completely full of diners.

I passed up my first opportunity to come here, but thankfully that same mistake was not repeated because I definitely would have missed out on some delicious Italian food!
From the outside, the restaurant looks a little minimal with its few white tables and metal chairs. However, the food and service speak volumes.
My friend and I were started off with some warm, complimentary flat bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. That was followed by a choclo and poblano empanada (poblano pepper, sweet corn, ricotta cheese, garlic, and onion), which was both unique and really tasty! The crispy, sweet and ever-​so-​slightly spicy empanada hot from the fryer had so much flavor to it, and the sauce paired with it complemented the empanada well.
We then shared a meat lovers pizza and a salmon artichoke pasta. The pizza was thin crust and much lighter than I expected, which I liked. It came with fennel sausage, proscuitto, hot pepperoni, mozzarella, paremesan, and arugula. I did think it was a little too salty but overall well-​made. The pasta was good too — the spinach fettuccini was cooked al dente and the sauce was delicious. There was a reasonable portion of salmon too.
Our service was excellent. Our waitress was so bubbly and friendly — one of the nicest servers I’ve encountered! I’d bump this place up to a 4.5 with the service, and I can’t wait to come back to try some other items on the menu!
